>wants to grab the brass ring
>has clear, defined ambition
>has shown she can perform at the highest levels on the biggest stages

there is no hope
But I thought Vince said that was exactly what the current younger talent lacked in order to get over and transcend🤔🤔🤔

Imagine how much danger Dolph is putting himself in shooting on THE DAEMON

WWE couldn't demote Ziggler any lower than he already is.

Started watching Stardom's 5 Star GP last night. Only seen Day 1. Initial impressions.

- Lots of upsets. Mandy Leon over Io gets a big LOL from me, but then again I've never really been a fan of Mandy. Stardom brass seems in love with her so it makes sense they'd want to start her strong.

- Nakano seems like she has such great potential, but she's missing something I can't quite put my finger on. Hope she finds it.

- Kimura is in a similar stage, but I think she's got even more potential if she puts it all together. She's got a little ways to go though.

- I love Kyona, but she needs new gear ASAP.

- Mimura vs. Kagetsu was MOTN. Just a really great dynamic and great hope spots for Mimura. I was certain she wasn't winning, but they got me on a few of those near falls.

Agreed about Nakano and Kimura. Both are so over right now that they have plenty of time to develop into something more well-rounded. Kimura for a while wasn't much more than a pose-off and a missile dropkick but she's having better and better matches. I think the only thing missing for Nakano is in-ring personality of some kind which I hope will come and she doesn't rest on the bland idol approach. As silly as her Oedo Tai affiliation is, it's the sort of thing that could really help her.

Yo AJPW dudes, what do you think about the Doering push/story?

Not completely sold on him being a total lone wolf. He had a ton of babyface goodwill on his comeback and I thought it'd be stupid not to somewhat capitalize on it by at least have him not be an overt bad dude. He's going to be cheered no matter what, just to a lesser extent now instead of the mass support he could have had.

That said, he's gotten into great shape and I look forward to his match with Suwama.

Io and Jungle Kyona did some good wrestling on Day 3 of the 5 Star GP. Kyona's having herself a great year and Io's been watching some Tana-kun tapes.

I been telling you Foggy, they need to give Kyona the strap!

Yeah, she gives off decent personality in her promos, but it seems to vanish once she's actually in the ring. It's all technically there, but she doesn't really put it together well.

In my eyes he's been given the anti-hero thing or at least the audience does seem to genuinely enjoy him running amok and being an ornery son of a bitch. If their plan is to have him run into Miyahara before the end of the year, I think this is an decent way of going about it.

His interference in the Suwama/Kojima match is indefensible though.

I'm with you, a Kyona/HZK program revolving around the High Speed title is everything I could want right now. That and her losing the bell bottom boots. I honestly like her gear other than the silly boots.

I guess it's probably better than having him in an holding pattern until he's really ready for big main event spots.

I'm not saying it can't work, I'm just not that sold on it yet.

I think the color pattern is goofy. I mean I see what she's going for, but the shades don't really work.

Speaking of titles, I wonder who's gonna take the SWA title from Toni now that she's WWE bound. Other than the short reign by Io, she's the only one to ever hold that title.

I think the Cameroon colors are endearing, but I would certainly welcome a change. She's had pretty bad gear from the jump.

Now that Shanna doesn't have the high speed title, I'd imagine it would go to her or another gaijin they trust that can defend it in Europe and stuff like that. I think that was the original intention anyway, to have an internationally defended belt. By that same standard, I could see Kimura holding it since she's been in Europe relatively frequently.

Hopefully they've expanded the list of promotions they are partnered with. They need to get that title defended in promotions people actually care about. I mean hell, it's only ever been defended outside of Stardom by Toni once. They could even get it defended in ROH now that they are partners with them if they want to spice it up more.

`Post some Riptide gifs! If you haven't already.

Especially Jimmy's Made in Japan type move, it looked aaammmaaazing.

Good idea!

Wanted to get Bronson's verdict on the camera work as well, it really impressed me - for a new company they've clearly set-out to present themselves differently from the rest of the pack.

Also, the sound production was really good. They had the audio from the mic on the PA and in the audio mix, for one thing, so you can actually hear promos. Fucks me off how many indies fail at that.

`

honestly more thirsty for this production than the cute joshi wrestlers you guys post

I'm really not a fan of it. There are times when you are watching something and more stark contrast and shadows are welcome. Wrestling is not one of those things. At least not to that degree anyways.
