I feel like i should purchase prison boss vr tonight

Friends of mine made the game and they really appreciate you posted about the game on here! It's a niche within a niche but I hope the game sells well anyway, they deserve it for all the hard work they put in. It's cool to see how well the game has done on Youtube.

Cyberdrifter will sees an update next week

Preta Vendetta Rising gets price drop, and the game is being reworked to ditch the in-app purchase model

the game premises sounds appealing to me (the whole day/night cycle, and crafting to upgrade your prison/buy tools while hiding from guards etc). I am installing it right now

Ok, I really enjoyed Prison Boss VR. I have to stop because my girlfriend was complaining that I am blocking her way

I escaped the first jail so far. The game mechanics is great. It takes a couple of in-game days to figure out how the game works, and then you'll have to be strategic on how to spend the night. I got carried away trying to get richer, only to later remember that satisfying my 'customers' with the contraband to increase my reputation is the actual goal.

The only down side is that the furniture can get wonky as you open/close the door of the table desk or the storage. I got caught once by the guard because my paper (one of the contraband items) got stuck between the table and its drawer and I couldn't hide it in time.

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Nice. I've heard a lot of good stuff about this one.

It is really awful.

Terrible art direction, terrible humor, and extremely repetitive.

The worst part, however, is the only mechanic in the game. Making physical banging motions with your head while wearing an hmd. It isnt fun the first time, and its actually painful by the 10th.

It's only redeeming quality is you can point developers to it as a perfect example of what NOT to do with VR.

Headmaster is bad? I have heard numerous praises about this title on PSVR too.

Ouch lol. Well I'm planning on waiting for reviews anyway since I have plenty to play at the moment and I'll be out of town next week.

Would love to set up some gaf Echo Arena inhouses sometime.

That'd be a great idea. I really struggle with shooting the disc on target, i seem to always forget to take into account my momentum when throwing it so it always misses. Playing with familiar players will atleast reduce the stress of trying to keep up with everyone in a match atleast :)

How is Gorn content wise right now?
does it have a campaign or is it just a free mode where enemies will keep spawning?
Somewhere in between.

The main mode is arena, which is around 2-4 waves of enemies. Doing arena rounds unlocks champion fights (there are 6 champions right now). Beating all the champions unlocks endless mode. Getting some number of kids in endless mode unlocks custom rules endless where you can mess with things like player size, damage scaling, gravity, etc.

You also unlock weapons for arena mode by completing objectives like "kill x enemies with headshots" or beating champions. After unlocking a weapon it can show up in your starting loadout in arena, and you can also do that weapon's "trial" where you try to get high scores with weapon-specific objectives in a limited time.

I have over 35 hours in it, which is my most for any vr game by far. Great replay value by giving yourself personal challenges

Huge update to GORN:

http://steamcommunity.com/games/578620/announcements/detail/1443822567709018998

Key new features include:

Async local multiplayer:

You can now take control of enemy gladiators in the Custom modes! Play with up to FOUR players, with or against the VR player as a GORN gladiator!

Trials:
Per-weapon score attack trials that you unlock alongside each weapon!

PHYSICS IMPROVEMENTS!
Two handed weapons re-designed and rebuilt from scratch.
On a related note, you can now deal damage by smashing enemies against the terrain!
All weapons have been tweaked to be less ”springy", and feel stronger and heavier. Flailing is slightly less effective than before.
Enemies are less jiggly, have more moveable parts, and have had their attacks tweaked.

Third person camera

Press SPACE to toggle camera angle and to check out your friend's sweet moves in glorious third person perspective!

Use WASDEQ to control the motion of the camera.

I'm having a lot of fun with audioshield still :) Been playing it every day for atleast 2 hours now for the past week (hoping it will secretly contribute to losing a lil weight too, lol).
Interested in getting sound boxing too now just so I can create my own levels.

Floor Plan: Hands On Edition launch trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEES9T0vQQU

This game was available for Oculus Rift earlier. The "Hands-On Edition" is a free update for Oculus Rift which adds motion control. It was a mobile VR game before that, so now the devs are updating and remastering it for high end VR.

HTC Vive version coming soon.

Floor Plan was one of the first vr games I purchased when I got my gear vr. Great game but it only lasts about 30-40 minutes (for the price they're selling it thats fine though). I'm not sure how well it will hold up now with recent games and advances in vr even with the hands on update though.

Man floor plan vr concept sounds good. Maybe they have added much more content since the gear vr release?

New gunheart update this month:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHgR_hv5OLs&feature=youtu.be

Whats new:
  • Rocket launcher (Combo weapon, like chain gun and bows)
  • Death Disc (Melee weapon like pistols and carbines)
  • Elite Mode difficulty (available for all missions)
  • Mission Mutators (examples: vampire mutator disables shield regen and you heal it back by dealing damage to enemies instead, night mutator is what it says on the tin)
  • Shooting Range added to the the lobby
  • Pistol is being experimented with new shooting mechanics (if it works, it will be applied to other guns too)
  • New holo sights
  • Gibs (enemies may explode into lots of small pieces)
  • New pvp mode (money pump capture)

Been busy playing audiosheild and AnimVR so haven't had chance to jump back into gunheart for about a month now but these changes sound great. Glad to see they've added elite mode now as the highlest level mission before my break was something I could solo with ease. The death disc is a lot different than what i was expecting (thought it would be a chain saw but its more like flying discs you control with your hands).

EVR Studio is going to release a VR 'experience' by the title "Project M: Daydream" whereby you can hang out with a korean lady in some countries. Apparently they are intending to make it an episodic thing, whereby they will release more Project M titles and feature different girls and probably different settings and scenarios.

yeah technolust and edge of nowhere have been mentioned a lot as being good games.
They are definately on my list of games to get. For me its: Chronos, technolust, edge of nowhere & thumper (I expect you to die is a lower priority due to its length). But i've gotten too many games over the past month or two lol, I don't know if I should just wait for the black friday sales later this year (if Oculus do these), most likely I'll buy atleast 2 from my this list...i think.

Then there's also that Blaster of the universe which looks interesting. Ahhhh too many games!!!!

I picked up Witchblood since it is so cheap and is an interesting Metroidvania type game, also got Gallery Ep. 1 Call of Starseed (episode 2 due for a September or October release) and Technolust. Nice sale.

Kind of interested in Edge of Nowhere but I also picked up the Summer Hits Pack earlier this week in celebration of Harvey going away (Houston) so I have so many games to play...

Where is Dirt Rally cheaper? It's full price on Steam for me.

Yeah its full price for me, I should have checked myself for that one. Was on reddit and a comment on there mentioned that steam had it for $15 and it had upvotes and replies saying thanks, so I added the steam note in an edit. That was 4 hours before my post here though. I'll remove that part out now that its not applicable.

New trailer for Duck Season (from the Hover Junkers devs). Still a little confused about how the horror part of the game works.

After watching the dev vid about the process of making 2 handed weapons feel good in vr I'm interested in this. However I don't care about duck hunting lol. Interested in seeing what the horror part is like and if that makes this game worthwhile to me.

I'm extremely excited that I have now released a video game.

Will definately try this tomorrow. :D
