Ill admit it, I think this is one of the weakest games R* has ever made. I rented it. Played through the entire thing and the mission structure was so repetitive, nothing I did made a difference, and it was nothing but a game that showed off impressive face tech.
One of the most head scratching things about it was that they built this massive and beautiful city, yet quarantined us off from really exploring or doing anything inside of it.
Not really sure why theyre putting time and effort into this when they have one of the best games of all time just waiting to be remastered.

Well of course, having Rockstar on board is promising. I wish it would have happened with a better game, but it is what it is.lol half the thread is about the Switch

I can see this not selling well on PS4/XB1/PC as not many people really care or want this game, plus there's already so much games available and upcoming for these platformslol half the thread is about the Switch
While Switch not many games currently available on it so more Switch owners will likely buy this game

I'll buy this for Switch literally for the sake of supporting Rockstar games on the platform. I'll probably just end up reselling it though as I remember this game being pretty damn boring after a few hours.

I actually enjoyed L.A. Noire, so I'll be picking this up. Though I would like a GTA IV or Max Payne 3 remaster sometime.

It's a shame, a portable Red Dead would actually make me go out and buy a Switch on launch day.

Not really a head scratcher. RDR is rumored to be a mess behind the scenes, and it's probably true, it's definitely the buggiest game I've played from R*. It never got a pc port either, which is most likely what this remaster is, a pc port with some minor improvements. They also already have a sequel coming out for RDR, a sequel that doesn't really need help. My guess is that one of their studios is making a sequel for LA noire, and that's a core reason for this releasing. Also also RDR has multiplayer that would need to be updated, and could take players away from GTAV and RDR2.
I guess, but I never really imagined Rockstar to be stingy with remasters (or anything else, really), and I doubt this would be as profitable or sell as well as RDR or GTA remasters. It's still a very strange release to me, all things considered. A Rockstar game on a Nintendo Console is pretty cool, though.
That might be cool, although I have to wonder what people would think of it now. I really enjoyed it storywise, but the mission design is repetitive (with no checkpoints), the combat is jank, and the driving feels horrendous now, especially compared to V. It's hard for me to go back to now, and I'd have to wonder if Rockstar would (or even could) update the game mechanics a bit with a hypothetical remaster.
YES! That's the Rockstar remaster I want, y'all! Max Payne 3 was the shit! ��
Hope not cause I'll just get it on PC then as it's 1/2 the price or less.

I'm happy about it as a Switch owner and a Rockstar junkie but I can't really be that happy because it's not Bully 2. An exclusive Bully 2 on Switch is my dream.

I'd even take a port of scholarship edition. Just take the 360's visuals and pair them with the Wii's mini games.
As much as I want Bully 2 to happen, and for it to appear on Switch, it'd be better if it appeared on other platforms too. That way more people would be able to play it on their current consoles/PCs.
Unless Nintendo is paying for that, like with Bayonetta 2, but I doubt that would ever happen.

I guess these days I'm a tiny bit wary of Rockstar's enthusiasm for tech over game design...
maybe I'm assuming if Nintendo somehow pulled off the exclusivity of a Bully 2, Rockstar wouldn't take too much of a hit/feel more comfortable releasing it alongside RDR2 on PS4/XB1, and the design of the game (Bully 2) would be more creative and experimental... but it would probably be a good game regardless of what console it was on...Rockstar are pretty good at what they do.

Well they're porting a PS360 title that can run on Switch but they haven't announced any graphical enhancement, so i don't think there is a chance of having them on board with their new titles that are designed for PS4 and xbox One.
It's a nice step but i hope they'll put out an exclusive title like GTA Chinatown Wars instead of scaled down titles.

I can't hold how many Switch games I have.
Seriously though, my backlog for the Switch alone is getting quite large. Having games like Zelda, Splatoon, Arms, Minecraft and now Lego Worlds is making it hard to complete or start the other games I've purchased. But I keep buying games.
