I'm guessing that it's fake due to my reasoning that I explained that could be wrong because I don't know for sure just like everyone else. Again, the boxart is not fake. It's either a work-in-progress or an updated version. The origin of the boxart is Nintendo Iberica.

(I do think my original post was a bit too strongly worded, now that I've re-read the specific interview, pretend I said "they were originally thinking of cutting Lucina from the roster until Intelligent Systems Insisted on her being in", it's still kinda wild that was a consideration at all, though.... I mean.... really.)

Good roster if true. Really good balance of the main FE classes (the exception of heavy armoured units as already pointed out is a shame) with a meaty 25 characters. I'm looking forward to trying Takumi, Cadea, Lucina, Xander, Ryoma, Tiki and Leo myself.

Lyn sprite doesn't look like the myrmidon class fro awakening. And Celica doesn't use swords either in that game. They are from their respective games.
Sprites aren't necessarily representative of their in-game look.
If I had to guess? Timing.
The Gaiden remake was in development when FEW was in development.

...You know, come to think of it, it is a bit weird to not have anyone from Mystery or New Mystery in here! Assuming it's true that Celica is in, that would make Mystery of the Emblem the only "Marth-World" game that's missing from the roster. I mean, the Shadow Dragon characters can play double duty, but it'd be cooler to have someone who first appears in 3 or 12.
Katarina would be the obvious choice, but they could also choose someone like Phina (the first dancer in the series!) if they wanted to dig deep and incorporate more classes.

I guess Celica as "gaiden advertisement" makes sense since even if there is a gap some people might go back and pick up valentia if they missed it (few is coming to 3ds as well). Lyn got in because she won the feh popularity poll.

Don't trust the sprites. As people pointed out, Lissa uses an Axe in Warriors but has her staff sprite on the box, same for elise.

Celica is great. Echoes of Valentia really had solid writing and cast of characters compared to Awakening and especially Fates. If the game gets full blown dlc on Tellius characters (give me Haar and Jill), I'll get the game.
It still doesn't make any sense to use Awakening versions Celica doesn't even use a sword and her design there is terrible.

I'm not getting this game until Tharja is available. She would be such a nice character. Imagine all her magic attacks and interactions. Ugh.
I was going to buy all the DLC anyway so I'm not mad that I have to pay extra money to play with one of the most popular characters ever. I'm mad because she isn't available right from the start. Especially with all the Awakening representation in Warriors. The disrespect seriously.
Lyn is old and Celica is annoying with all her whining. Nobody is checking for them in 2017 wtf.

We don't know for sure, wait for confirmation before freaking out. Even if it is true that doesn't necessarily mean that it represents the full roster.

While the healers are using their promoted version's weapons, they themselves seem to be classed as their unpromoted versions. Elise is classed as a Troubadour and has her Troubadour sprite on the FE Warriors site.

They only make one limited edition for the whole Europe so yes it's normal.

No, nothing about Azura was mentioned as far as hinting was concerned. It does seem likely that she'll be DLC now, though Fates is hardly hurting for representation as it is.

Wow, if Lyn and Celica are really in, I'll stop bitching about the roster. I mean, most of the roster is still ass, but it's worth it to play as Lyn for me. Also this mean Roy and Ike are pretty much a forgone conclusion now. I do hope Hector makes it as DLC, but if I can only get Lyn I will make do.

As someone who would rather not have Tharja in the game...Tharja's chances of being DLC are higher than most any other character.

OK, there was some talk in another thread about both Azura and Sakura being revealed soonish. I must have misread things.
If that's the final roster, I'm pretty happy with it overall and I'll be glad to be wrong. I'd like Azura in too, but I realize there's no way that they can make everybody 100% happy with only so many resources.
Edit: We've had retailers (Amazon Spain no less) post fake box art for this before: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...te_edition_for_switch_with_fan-made_cover_art. If I'm wrong this time, I'm wrong, but considering this has happened before, I'm skeptical.
