Cryptocurrency |OT| Nothing from Money

Hey guys, after jumping in at the wrong time in ETH, I am thinking of diversifying instead by buying some crypto coins that are not as established yet. Will be just throwing maybe $30 at each of the coins below.

Do correct me since Im most probably wrong.

ARK
Everyone is raving about the potential about this coin in here! Seems they allow different programming languages, sound amazing!

XRP
Seems like a coin that is more 'recognised' by financial institutions. A safer bet as I believe banks will still be around of at least one more generation.

XZC
Sounds like the opposite of XRP, so thinking might be good to invest in the opposite team also?

BAT
I dont think many people will use the Brave browser but I like the concept of having a less spammy internet. Event though I dont think it will gain a lot of value just feel like supporting this one.

Please educate a noob :)

With only 30USD, I wouldn't diversify, not really enough return to justify if only one coin gets good gains.

EDIT: Oh, misread, you want 30 USD in each coin. I would take two out of the four instead of 30 in each, put 60 in each if you want to split your money.

I would either pick ARK for a long term hold, or BAT for a short term hold because it's rather cheap at the moment and has a potential update coming out in the next two weeks.

I've never really been interested in Ripple. Sure, it's increased in price this last year, but the amount of coins in circulation is too much for me to give it interest as an investment.

Still unsure about the Tokenlab ICO. I also wonder about Blackmoon growing a lot since the coin is over a dollar already, but they at least have a working product.

Anyone participating in Blackmoon ICO? Do I understand correctly that I can't transfer any ETH until the distribution starts in two hours? They provided me an ETH wallet for "receiving" BMC, but the page also says the funding addresses will be available when the distribution starts. You'd think they'd let me transfer the funds in preparation.

Soymilk BAT is a legit but loooong term investment. The team behind it are super legit, their mobile browser version kicks ass and it has over half a million downloads already just on Android alone, with the implementation of BAT into brave who knows where it'll get upto. It's definitely not something that will be going down, expect very good stability on price.

The time to get in is now tbh. Boats in the dock

Thanks for the advice! could you elaborate more for Ripple, why having more coins in circulation is a bad thing? I am honestly clueless about how this affects the future outlook of the coin. I thought that would be promising?

For Zcoin you have any input?

Thanks, Slayer yea I will be buying BAT for sure even if just to support a legit and great concept project :)

Hmm, well I'm glad someone has long term investment in it! I might change my personal view on it, but with it being based on the adoption of its browser, I'm just tepid.

You have to realize what people are behind this thing, that group isn't here to fuck around honestly.

When everything kicks into high gear seeing the browser being advertised won't be surprising, they are still developing the browser as it has just been a few months since the announcement of the token. It's fairly more impressive on mobile, while the desktop version needs to be cleaned up a bit in terms of bugs/stability.

People considering this coin need to realize the potential upside to what they are trying to accomplish, if they deliver they'll deliver big, there's so much money to be made for all parties involved.

They are on the low going after Google and other giant players.

I don't have any concerns about the BAT team. It's whether people are open to using another browser. Or if the other browser can just put an add on that would allow the same function as brave anti spam.

The token earnings/payouts will be integrated to other browsers as well I think. That'll be pretty big.

Just got into work, yea so abou-

Im wondering if theres been some news we dont know about. Perhaps some ACES news slippin through to people, or anticipation. insane gains.

ARK has been on the backburner of reddit for a while. A few days of being on the front page, but most of the time it was dismissed as shilling. I'm thinking yesterday with the front page link was enough to help make it a thing people want to invest in, and with that people might have learned of the roadmap and that ACES is soon.

I think the bigger question is, with the large influx of new ARK investors, how many are going to stake it vs. holding in an exchange to flip soon?

I've been shilling it for a while lol. Very happy more people are getting involved and voting their ARK. Very healthy for the platform.

I would expect a big ark explosion if ACES go live this week for a couple of days, then a contraction still leaves it much higher then now. $10 might be realistic based on its rise the last few days before ACES.

Pretty much all the money I've made on crypto has come from doing what pieface said to do.

What has worked in arks favor for a while is the wallet and the delegate voting returns. Now the other pieces are coming together.

Gf is happy too since i made her a portfolio of ARK, IOTA and OMG (CVC too but i changed that to IOTA a while ago) two months ago out of her 1k€ investment. Although ARK is unfortunately the smallest of the three.

I'm so sick of losing money on transaction fees on coinbase, and then losing money because coinbase is more expensive than actual exchanges. Out of the 500 USD buy in, I only got to put in 450USD into BAT. Thankfully I bought in at peak dip on the weekend, but that's near 100USD of gains I should have had instead of trying to break back to even on the growth.

I feel like I'm in an infomercial

THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY!

Coinbase got us by the balls man, I saw a video where apparently you can avoid paying fees man. Look it up on yt.

Isn't GDAX the way to go to avoid the Coinbase fees?

Fuuuuuuuuuuuu man. You HAVE to use GDAX... And Buy Litecoin if you are going to send it to an exchange like Bittrex. You have too, or you get eaten by fees.

If you use a Credit card its a fee of like 2 dollars per 50$, then you have to buy above the cost of the actual coin because the markup, so you'll lose a dollar or two there too per $50. Then if you buy bitcoin and need to send it to bittrex, there goes another 3 dollars in transaction fees. And that's on a small amount like 50$.

It freaking scales the more you put in. At 500$ U.S. 50$ sounds about right for their ridiculous fees. Use ACH bank deposits which are free. Then use GDAX maker buys to pay 0% markup on the coin you buy. Then if you buy Litecoin instead of Bitcoin it costs like 2 cents per 50$ to send to Bittrex. So your 500$ would have STAYED $500 and you would have paid like 20 cents to get it over to an exchange where you would sell the LTC for BTC and then buy $499.13 or so of BAT.

The entire process is user unfriendly but worth it. Coinbase thrives on making the process easy and friendly with a lovely UI, but they wreck us on fees in exchange for being easy to use. Until we get better options its best to do everything the long way so you aren't putting yourself in the red before you even invest. That shit is just wrong.

I did use LTC with a debit card, fees were basically the same as BTC or ETH. But yea, I need to do this process, I can't be eating a fucking tenth of my buy in every time I want to do some FIAT
