League of Legends Championship Series: Season 7

HOLYSHIT!

Didn't realise that EDG reverse swept RNG. WHAT THE FUCK?

I turned it off when RNG won 2-0 and the 3rd one was also looking like 3-0 easy win.

Man, I need to watch that. Soo happy that supposedly ''best player in china'' Xiaohu and I deserve to win'' Uzi lost. Fuck them.

It was a great comeback. I was cheering for Clearlove, iBoy and Scout all the way. Scout was a monster in games 4 and 5. iBoy's only 17 years old with less than 25 games played professionally but is extremely strong and completely fearless. And Clearlove can still break out his favourite champs and get the job done with them, even if his mechanics are lacking. I liked him way back in season 2 on the original WE roster that won IPL5, but his continued longevity is awesome. Hardly anyone else from that era still plays near the top (PraY, Flame, Doublelift and sOAZ are exceptions, but they've had big dips or breaks along the way). His trophy cabinet is full to bursting while poor Uzi's still lies empty. I think RNG's mental state was pretty questionable in game 5 though. A lot of bizarre mistakes, not least from Uzi.

I'm still trying to get over KT not making Worlds. They had so many chances. Getting finished off by an epic stall in the base from Samsung was the worst way to go. At least there's Longzhu.

H2K V Splyce now

H2K VS Splyce stats: 10-0

Splyce are just waste of space

Yeah, I watched it and it was such a fun series. That comeback was a combination of Clearlove stopping inting and play like a the good jungler he is, IBoy showing why is the next big thing in China and EDG just showing what a great teamplay can do. also Uzi tilting espcially that last game was funny to watch.

Its gonna be exciting seeing them at world this yeah since I think they have improved so much this year, all 3 Chinese teams

FlyQuest definitely upgraded their ADC between the splits. Didn't do them much good up until now, but I guess "Hai Bo5" time is as good a time as any to start showing up.

DIG really fell off a cliff; maybe there really is some internal conflict like Markz was saying.

As far as FLY vs CLG.

Honestly if they let Darshan/Omar camp Balls like Ssumday/Shrimp did, I feel like CLG is much much better at playing around with that advantage.

I can't believe people still think that Ssumday is a better top than Hauntzer. Hauntzer with those resources = won game.

I think. I doubt Hauntzer would do much better with the same teammates. He even played with Keane before and didn't do much.
Flame is another story. I think Flame is better, but just by little.

TSM have top 3 players in all positions except jungle imo.

I'm wondering if they reset this game... I think it was an odd bug in Riot's spaghetti code there between Banshee's and ASol's E that didn't allow him to cancel it.

Watch C9/CLG if you missed it, especially game 4.
Sneaky goes deathless in one of the most intense games this season, somehow carrying a full teamfight after Jensen died instantly, to take C9 to Worlds.

I hate C9 so them winning the series is not good news to me.

Ah well, looking forward to the worlds draw tomorrow. Should be fun.

Anyone have a post of the full draw or is it still going?

It's complete.

Code:
A	B	C	D
EDG	LZ	G2	FW
SKT	IMT	SSG	MSF
AHQ	MES	RNG	TSM
???	???	???	???

Where the ??? will be filled in by the Play-in results from these groups:

Code:
A	B	C	D
WE	C9	FNC	HKA
GMB	ONE	YG	FB
LYN	DW	KLG	RPG

They will be drawn into different teams after the play-in eliminations. So if WE gets out of their group they will be in either group D or group B. C9 would get into either A or C.

Thanks! Man if TSM doesn't make it out of Groups....

I know the group draws are good for TSM in particular, but I am keeping my expectations in check by just assuming NA won't get out at all. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised

TSM have a very high chance of drawing WE in their group from the play-in, since they already have an EU, LPL and NA (obviously) team in their group so Fnatic, C9 and HKA can't go in there. One of the major region teams must fail to qualify from the play-in in order for there to be any chance WE doesn't go into TSM's Group.

If that happens, I think their group is fairly even - WE, FW and TSM should all be of comparable strength with Misfits strong enough to pull a couple of wins.

The real group of life is IMT's. Unless the Marines start another hero charge 2nd place behind Longzhu should be the easiest spot of all 8 to acheive, coming down to IMT and likely FNC or HKA.

Samsung/RNG/G2 (and likely C9) is the insanely hard group. Group A most likely to be a boring stomp from EDG and SKT (though EDG has a great tradition of making very hard work of groups).

Lol, TSM is guaranteed to get out of groups with this draw. Let's see what they can do during the playoffs. G2 looks rip since they got SSG and RNG in their group. Immortals going to the playoffs looks doable though. Only LZ looks scary.

Kinda sad Gambit is in WE's group. No way they will win lol. WE is pretty stronk. Let's hope Fnatic gets in Immortals' group if they make it out of the play-in. I don't see them having any chance in SKT's group.

TSM isn't guaranteed. If they get WE things can get pretty hard. Still easier than other groups.

It's not too bad for Gambit that they drew WE - they only need to do better than Lyon to get 2nd seed and advance. If you can't draw the 1-seed from your group in the knockout round then they'd likely go against C9, Fnatic or HKA for the last spot at Worlds. Even if they can still draw WE it's only a 25% chance.

No Koreans in their group, the worst Chinese team and being the clear best western team? Dnno what more they could ask for.

Froskurinn thinks WE Is the best chinese team, regardless of their falling out of playoffs. Also lets not pretend that the 3rd seed to come out of China isn't likely to be at least decent.

China was insanely close. I think almost every series involving the three teams who made Worlds ended 3-2, and the general concensus (and the win rate before playoffs) was always that EDG was weaker than the other two. As brilliant as their comeback win over RNG was, it wasn't evidence of their ability to play clean League as much as how resourceful Clearlove and Scout can be under pressure. One Chinese team is probably as strong as the next, on paper.

There's also the fact that Royal always do well at worlds while EDG well, clearlove is basically a meme at this point.

I agree with there being more accessability for non-core market teams to get to Worlds, but there has to be a better way.

This whole qualifiying run has generated fatigue.
