So, your friend is getting harassed by a nazi. All up in their face, making threats and openly wearing nazi symbols. Now, your friend is a Jew.

You'd just ask your friend to walk away? You'd just walk away? Yeah man. Sure showed that Nazi.

Fuck off with that. Be a nazi, eat concrete. It's a simple equation to work out. Real damn easy to not be a nazi.

Good. Harassing a person of color and wearing a Nazi symbol on your arm does deserve a reality check like a punch to the face.

And while yes, sometimes there are rogue folks on antifa that use aggressive force, at least no one was killed over it. Meanwhile a man who supported white supremacy and Nazis ran peaceful protestors over with a car.

Is there any significant movement for hate speech laws in the U.S.? This seems like a situation where the preference would be for the police to be able to arrest this guy rather than have to resort to someone putting themselves at risk by breaking the law to enact vigilante justice.

Even if there is a slippery slope argument to be made I feel 0 sympathy for this guy.

Do what I do. Draw the line after this.

One punch to the face for someone who is publically a Nazi. No more.

I don't see why that's a slippery slope. I don't support the death penalty. I still think this should be illegal... but what the Nazi did? Yeah. The occasional punch to the face is completely acceptable. Not two. Just one. How often? No more than however often you decide to go out spreading your Nazi hate speech.

Haven't watched the video so I don't know what he said, but I love him holding up his hand before the punch, like the literal nazi is trying ti say "hey, let's be reasonable." If that was his intent, that's beautifully hilarious in the irony.

I can't have any sympathy for a nazi being punched in the face.
He's says "they deserve the welfare", and then gets clocked.

I was going to come into this thread and say stuff like I'm all for Nais getting hit but not big on vigilantes because they might get stuff wrong but in this case the guy was wearing a fucking swastika armband so, you know, can't really knock out the wrong guy there.
Yeah, that's kind of me. I was all ready to frown at internet detective bullshit, but man is this clear cut.

Yell at him if you wish, but surrounding him and sucker-punching him was wrong and something I'd expect out of the Alt-Right.

Antifa's actions will fuel the "both sides" nonsense and any effort for equality and peace will dissolve into random ambushes, like this one.

The Alt-Right will gain more from this than Antifa will. And not just on the street level. This shit is Cool-Aid for conservatives.

Trump/Fox/Alt-Righters will use this shit to their advantage.

It was a stupid move. Period.

So what's next, we celebrate someone killing a guy like this? He's a piece of trash, sure, but you guys celebrating this absolutely disgust me.
So what's next? Letting them spew vile without standing up to them? What's next, waiting for them to kill one of us?

Oh. Wait.

It's just crazy to me that you can walk around with a hate symbol proudly like that in USA. Freedom of speech...

Using violence to silence violent rhetoric is justifiable. But honestly, punching a dude so hard he literally loses consciousness and lands head first on concrete - that's a bit too close to "killing a dude" for my taste. Way past my comfort level on that spectrum.

Also a cabal of online strangers hunting down people to physically assault is sort of not a good look? But that seems to ultimately not be related here.

There's something about the methodology of how this was enacted that makes me uncomfortable.

But then I paid closer attention... Harassing a black guy, wearing a swastika and goading some dude on... Yeah, glad it played out the way it did.

An clowns like you exist to ignore the obvious? WEEEEEE around and around we go!
i nominate to try and convince some self-proclaimed nazis that genocide is actually not okay

go forth, preferably in person since apparently you think nazis are non-violent

report back with results

No they won't. The guy is wearing a swastika. Fox aren't going to try and paint him sympathetically.

As a pacifist, I'm not entirely ok with the violence, but if some dipshit wants to roll around harassing people while sporting a bannner under which millions of Jews, Gypsies and homosexuals were tortured and murdered, I'm going to go ahead and enjoy the video.

Also, conservatives are big on shame and fear as motivation towards a moral life, so maybe a little action instilling fear and shame in a Nazi is a good thing.

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Still waiting for people to list some "better ways" of handling Nazis.

Any day now.

A Fish Aficionado

I am going to make it through this year if it kills me
6+ million Jews and other minorities died plus hundreds of thousands of American soldiers from all kinds of backgrounds died against Nazism.

Why are why supposed to empathize?

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

I am absolutely 100% an advocate of free speech. If the person who threw this punch is identified and charged for this assault, that is only fair.

But if you are 100% a self identifying white supremacist, you deserve to get punched in the face from time to time. Not beaten down. Not kicked. Punched in the face.

Like this fucker gets.

Because we cannot tolerate the intolerant. Provocative hate speech should provoke brief punctuated violent response from time to time.

Again, if you punch a Nazi, I think you should suffer the same legal consequences as anyone who punches any random stranger.

But I'll absolutely shake your hand.
This. I would desperately want to punch this guy in the same situation, but it would not be worth the consequences to me, personally.

But OMG guise!~ Violence is bad! Let's not resort to violence~!

Pick up a fucking history book about the violence Nazis perpetrate on people given the chance.

I really can't stand that fucking argument of don't resort to violence.

Nazis are CANCER. Let's just let the CANCER thrive. Chemo is abhorrent! Don't resort to Chemo!

Honestly, if people weren't that bothered by a guy walking around with a Nazi armband, you had already lost them, and pleasing them is ultimately pleasing Nazis and normalizing them.

If this makes even one asshole not want to go outside wearing his genocidal clothing, this was worth it.

I hate violence but don't really care that this guy was punched. Fuck Nazis.

It's more concerning to me that someone was able to find and target someone so quickly over social media.

Isn’t it great that rejects like him get to advertise their idiocy?

Free speech works.

Some of you are so fucking wet.
"oh no the violence, so unethical!" You make me sick.

If you see a Nazi then fucking smash their stupid heads into mush.

I hope to see more stories like this.

How do you supposed Fox will use this to their advantage? Show a man wearing a fucking swastika getting knocked out and saying "this is bad"?
