Linda Hamilton returns to "Terminator".

Cameron and Miller created a writers room to hammer out what is planned to be a trilogy that can stand as single movies or form an overarching story. David Goyer, whose credits include the Blade and Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies, Charles Eglee, who created Dark Angel with Cameron, and Josh Friedman, who created the Terminator TV spinoff, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, were part of that room.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

May want to rethink the latter:

...did he get a nose job and his cheeks done?

SCC sucks noodles, but he's worked with Cameron in the writer's room for the Avatar sequels so hopefully osmosis played a part in him becoming a better storyteller.

Really disappointed Bill Wisher wasn't part of that room.

Yeah, no thanks.

Only character I want to see return less is Ripley. Because dear God is Sigourney Weaver the worst when it comes to demanding stupid shit happen in Alien films.

What about Goyer though? How much osmosis is that going to need?

The creator of the Sarah Connor Chronicles is in this? I'm so in.

Yeah that got my attention since SCC is the only good Terminator anything released this century.

Also some people didn't like SCC? wow only thing bad about that show was the 'ending'

He wasn't alone.
Not really.

Frank Columbu and Arnold's physiques would have been extremely uncommon to find in a future where most people were starving and scavenging for food. A big part of the reason they looked like they did was because of regimented nutrition during their real life body building.

A person that looked like them would be a dead giveaway, regardless of the skin no longer being rubber ala the T-600s.

You want to sell a franchise on some flabby nonsense?
You don't have to answer.

Since we're roping in probably Arnold, Linda and Cameron and don't seem to be giving a shit about continuity c'mon get Biehn

It's a crying shame Paxton is dead, they could retcon his thug character as a T-2000. Terminator so human like it's not a Terminator at all. Perfect disguise.

Didn't Linda Hamilton divorce Cameron and get like a billion dollars?

Neat announcement but like all producer roles, I don't have much faith even if it is Cameron.

That's a p good room.

Goyer only completely sucks when he directs.

He also completely sucks when he has the sole writing credit. His best work is all collaborative, which is why I don't mind him here.

The only way any thing of value comes of this is if Cameron is heavily involved. Bringing back Arnold is a fucking mistake. Letting anyone involved with the piece of shit TV series be involved in this is a mistake.

Just let the fucking series die.
Arnold was the only good thing about the last Terminator movie. Wtf is this.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I've(we've) been through this shit way too many times before, only to be disappointed in the end.

The good news is that James Cameron is more involved than he's been in any of these movies without him directing.

I like Tim Miller, but I also liked Jonathan Mostow and Alan Taylor.

Arnie def will be back and at this point and I would love it if they got Norman Reedus as John Connor.

I liked Gensisy for finally showing that a Terminator's "shell" can age. But ... that's about it. Bringing Arnold and Linda back is one way to make sure we have a connection to the only two good Terminator movies.

Cameron exchanging his idea's on a sequel is a good thing though.

Just give us The Rock as the Terminator. Model 109 or something.

That's ... perfection.

Wonder what rating they're shooting for.

If this isn't already aiming for a return to its R-rated roots, it's already dead in the water.

Goyer is fine for ideas. Just don't ask him to write a script based on those ideas unless you got a strong writer to co-write with him.

You know what they should do? Get Robocop in it, legit not joking...and I don't mean that new black-suit Robocop either.

Always thought those two series would have been perfect for some crossover.

On one hand you have the pure-machine T-800 and then you have a cyborg, part human and part machine. Have them start off as enemies and then end up coming together.

Would be neat too since they had thought of Arnold for the role but went with Peter because the suit worked better on a smaller actor.

Certainly couldn't be worse then all the Terminator movies after T2.

Sounds like they wanna redo terminator 3

Normally I would be immensely excited for the return of sarah connor but that writers room looking like shit, likely no Cameron involvement either outside of him stamping his name on it, and we've had 3 shit terminators in a row now

I'd like this to be great but at the same time I'm not holding my breath on that

Edit: well with his story idea that makes it a bit better

After genisys I told myself to not fall for it one more time.

Here I am getting excited again..

I pray they will for once be able to catch the spirit of either T1 or T2 and make something decent out of it.
And by that I don't mean shitty fanservice like in genisys..
Also PLEASE dial back on the cringy humour of T3 and T5.

Hamilton certainly is getting my hopes up.
I can see Furlong getting in shape for this too.
