Play time's over, sit down and shut up. Later on tonight, there's gonna be a match for the tag team titles between the Acolytes and X-Pac & Kane, whatever whatever, it's not important. The fact of the matter is, this Sunday at Summerslam the winner of that match will come face to face with this. And to make sure that my man was right, this week I put him to the test. I had Paul Bearer call out to California - San Fernando Valley to some associates of ours at the Local 81 - Paul said we're gonna need two bikes for a ride in the desert. The guy said 'Brother Paul, now we know that the Dead Man can handle it, but I don't know about the Big Show. It's August, it's 120 degrees in the middle of Death Valley.' He says 'the only things that survive in the desert are the cold-blooded...the snakes and the lizards.' Paul said 'that's all right, and in one of those bikes that you're setting up for us, I want you the Big Show to only have enough gas to get to the middle of the desert and not get back.'

So we're on our way - we get to the middle of Death Valley - 120 degrees, the Big Show's bike runs out of gas. And I pull up next to him and I ask him this question: 'It's 120 degrees, how are you gonna survive?' He looks me straight in the eyes, without hesitation, he says 'I'm gonna wait 'til you go to sleep, I'm gonna stab you in the back, I'm gonna cut your flesh off, make a coat out of it, and I'm gonna eat YOUR flesh until I find food.' I said 'Good answer big man, but I don't sleep,' and I drove off and left him. I waited on the outskirts of the desert. Two days later, he walks out with a snake necktie and lizard boots, carryin' his Harley-Davidson on his shoulder. The point of the story is this. What used to be known as SummerSlam will now be known as Armageddon, and whoever shows up...will be hurt.

HHH vs Orton should have been a Hell in a Cell match.

But I still think they could have made a singles match work by having HHH prioritize getting revenge over winning the belt.

Their Last Man Standing in 2007 was a great match. They could've easily worked a good match at WM25. Again, I really think Triple H likes to have those old school matches. And it's his downfall a lot of the time.

The match has to fit the story of the feud. You can't be killing each other throughout the feud, then have a traditional wrestling match. Reigns/HHH and Orton/HHH are what happens when you do that.

Triple H invaded Orton's home. Attacked his family. Tried to murder the mother of his children. (May have made that last part up.) Orton sexually assaulted his wife. Kicked his father-in-law's head off. No one should be applying holds and working body parts. You should be beating each other down like it's the apocalypse.

I definitely think you're on to something here.

HHH working that more methodical old-school style is a big part of what's made a bunch of his matches stinkers. What made HHH vs Bryan so great was partially because HHH wasn't working that style

Fucking incredible that Vince couldn't resist his urge to be racist towards Nakamura, or maybe it's not so incredible after how racist he has been against Jinder and the racist bullshit he made Kalisto and Crews go through in his feud with that other racist piece of shit, all in the last year.

they used to make it soft. there was a match back in the fat HHH era where he leaned on the hammer and the head it got all squishy. maybe someone knows exactly what match it was. I remember me and a couple of friends watching that and laughing our asses off

I was genuinely shocked when he said "rook at me", it was South Park level comedy but it wasn't a parody, it was actually that low level of entertainment in 2017

The thing is that they actually had some personality thanks to the Dirt Sheet and everything. I feel like most tag teams are just uninteresting because they're just 2 guys you barely hear talking.

Crazy thing is that the HHH has been involved in all the good Mania main event builds for a long time. WM21, WM25, WM30 all involve Triple H. All had fun and entertaining build ups. And outside of The Rock's return in 2011 and 2012, I'd argue they're the only main event builds since WM21 that have actually been really good. HHH is solid in that sense.

The rest have been surprisingly mundane. Like at WM23, where Cena spent 6 weeks playing friends with HBK and waiting for him to kick him. Goddamn that was bad.

WM26 with HBK/Taker was alright too. But Batista/Cena was the true hype build with that show. Heel Batista was amazing.

Was thinking about catching up on some RAW and Smackdown since I haven't seen it in 2-3 weeks, but after hearing about the Jinder promo, nah, I'm good.

HHH has honestly been focused on making stars by putting them over him (with the exception of Stang, obviously...)

He's doing his part.

To be honest I didn't watch it and I refuse to, it's not like it's hard to imagine what that piece of shit can come up with at this point. But that is still fucking disgusting
