From Joe Koff from ROH. Can someone explain what this means and why WOH don't have a match on the ppv?

Plus this and the Chelsea green story shows how it is still tough for women to get make the money the young bucks are pulling.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Next Week: The WWE has released Cedric Alexander. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours

EVOLVE has a weird deal with WWE that nobody seems to know the terms of because they have contracted guys showing up there semi-frequently.

I'm guessing he wants credit for women's wrestling taking off in the last few years. I don't really know why.

For all of WWE's image problems, that's basically the same period of time that women's wrestling has gone from 4 minute piss breaks to basically the same as the other matches (just way less of them.), so I don't really get it.

I'm surprised that Hogan didn't pull his weight and have him and Warrior main event Halloween Havoc 98.

If this match happened now, Vinny Mac would definitely have it as the last match.

I feel like Trent Seven is going to be the X-Pac of BSS, in that he'll be carried entirely by the two guys around him

The writing for the Smackdown womans division is lazy as hell

It's a good thing that Bate is a strong lad because Seven is on that Chris Hero plan.

That's not how you become a hoss, Seven.

Floslam are suing WWN for misrepresentation of iPPV and VOD income

https://www.pwtorch.com/site/2017/0...n-ippv-vod-buyrates-wwn-planning-countersuit/

Sounds like the classic territories bait and switch - say its worth more than it is so some money mark will buy it, then swoop in and buy it when the marks run out of money

Both companies are done.

Floslam will now be out of content and will probably quit the wrestling business and WWN will have to beg HHH to beg Vince to take them under the network

It's going to be a shame to lose Evolve. Oh well.

Are NXT House Show tickets more expensive? Or why aren't they able to sell out venues they used to easily fill during the Balor/Joe era?

Occasionally you see people complain that northern promotions in the UK (barring a few notable exceptions) don't get as much attention as the southern promotions, well, maybe don't film your shows on A FUCKING POTATO;

That's the hard cam. Why is it in the corner? Who does that? No one, that's who. And there's a good (very obvious) reason for it. Let's look at the ringside cameras;

Potatoes equipped with FISH EYE LENS. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? Shitty lighting, poorly matched colour tone on all of the cameras, and the handhelds are so shit there's continual motion blur.

JEEZUS, even BronsonLee is disgusted by the state of this footage.

Wait tapings are cheaper than house shows? Why is that?

I see, that explains the difference in attendance

The thing is with NXT they have 4 different kind of shows:

1. The takeovers
2. Tours outside of Florida
3. The Florida loop
4. Tapings

The first two are the most expensive. The other two are the cheapest but a sell out doesn't hold a lot of people.

The Florida loop is $20 for Gold Circle (first two rows ringside) and $10 for general admission.
Tapings are $15 for Gold Circle (seated sections around the ring) and $10 for general admission.

That's cheap as hell

Yeah. That's why for most of 2016 I was going to at least one house show a week and all the tapings.

Once they started doing the tours outside of the Florida loop, the attendance at the Florida shows on the same weekends took a noticeable dip. Sell outs in Florida are more of a rarity now rather than a guarantee.

Interesting they haven't raised the prices a bit to balance that out. It seems the florida loop has the advantage that people can interact with the talent more than the outside tour.

They probably don't care much about numbers from this Florida Loop thing, the sole reason those house shows exist is for talent to get more experiences/try new gimmicks

Austin winning the '98 Rumble is so much fun.

And then Mike Tyson called Austin "Cold Stone" and Shawn Michaels -- the champion -- "a young up-and-coming, hungry lion." >_>

Some venues they run have always done poorly. The one closest to me, Crystal River, I've never seen sell above maybe 150 seats and they usually have 300 available.

There is more interaction in the Florida loop. Always meet and greets before the show and, because the venues are usually small armories or bingo halls, you often run into the talent when going to get something from concessions or using the bathroom. A lot of the newer PC talent usually works security as well; No Way Jose was for most of 2015.

It's kinda the only good rumble that has an obvious winner. I love the beginning of it too with Cactus and Funk.

Ultima Lucha starts next wednesday This fucking show is airing over the span of a month on El Rey, and MIGHT be the end of Lucha Underground. Should be fun, but goddamn Robert Rodriguez, couldn't make it a big one night event?

  • Famous B vs Texano for Texano's contract
  • Pentagon DARK vs Son of Havoc for the Gift of the Gods title in a ladder match
  • Dragon Azteca Jr. vs. Matanza in a cage match
  • Ivelisse(!) vs Catrina
  • Fenix vs Marty the Moth in a mask vs hair match
  • Taya vs Sexy Star, last woman standing match
  • Cage vs Mil Muertes vs Jeremiah Crane for the superpowered gauntlet
  • Dante Fox vs Killshot in a HELL OF WAR match (read as: Three Stages of Hell)
  • Johnny Mundo vs Prince Puma for the Lucha Underground Championship

That's nine matches over 4 episodes. Guessing that won't be it, and we get surprises (like Wagner showing up during Ultima Lucha Dos).

Hoping it's a fun set of episodes. Seems like even among wrestling fans no one really cares about LU anymore though.

Yeah, it was unique. It was still a Rumble-y slog at times, what with DOA and Savio Vega and Ahmed Johnson, etc. etc. But it was still fun. The gimmicky nonsense was pretty good -- Three Faces of Foley, for example.
