Trump "withdraws" White House invitation to Stephen Curry after Curry declines

where is the @ to send it directly to Trump?

Guess he don't want to piss off his sponsors

LeBron's tweet has been retweeted 516,000 times and counting. I believe folks have seen it, including his sponsors and our idiot of a President.

And it's not exactly something where you need to read between the lines.

I'm ashamed I had that poster on my wall growing up

One thing I appreciate about the Trump era is that certain people feel comfortable enough to take their hoods off:

Just to be perfectly clear: Conservatives and true Americans will not tolerate any protest during national anthem, no matter what the cause.

"true Americans"?
Thats Klan talk.

Trump never has that reaction, hence the reason we are here.

I actually think he does. Before Trump ever bothered with politics he was absolutely obsessed with getting in with celebrities. They're who he wanted to associate with. He hung out with them and invited them to his wedding. As tweets showed earlier, he also really likes LeBron. You can be damn sure that this shit stings. But he can't really back down because there's no way he's winning over the peoples he's alienated with his racist bullshit. So all he can do is what he did last night. Those are the only people left that actually like him.

Nearly any time I hear those in the military speak about this form of protesting they're always in support of it.

I think calling him an idiot is too reductive. It side-steps and betrays a proper attempt to diagnose his pattern of behavior and thinking, and disables our ability to meaningfully counter his positions to him or in the public sphere where his ideas are retweeted and discussed by people sympathetic to his positions as "one of the good ones".

Generally speaking, it's dangerous to just call people "idiots" unless their IQ is 70 or something. It's essential that the mentality and belief system of such people be fully understood so that we can address them and people who think like this definitively and effectively, with the goal of limiting the germination and spread of these embryonic thoughts.

on second though and after careful considerationt: he's an idiot.

He should ask Tim Scott how that goes.

Him and Sasse are half there half not all there. It's a mental block I'd love for them to break up.

He's also a sociopath and NPD, this rejection always boils down to an inky, toxic darkness that fuels his evil which he spreads like a disease.

Americans love their sports. It would be interesting if individuals in their favorite pastimes become the catalyst for real discussion around this farse of an administration, at least, and discussion about the States at most.

Ha!

Doesn't help that the majority of the top 20 all come from Barack Obama either. Including the top spot.

That has to grind agent oranges gears. I wonder if he stays up at night thinking of a tweet that will outlike Obamas. Something like, "people of America, today I resign." 7 billion likes

Yeah, I agree that Trump wants more than anything to be loved but he is a horrible human being so the fake adulation of celebs will do as a substitute. What I meant is, he doubles down publicly and as a result, the public facing response is fuckery.

I don't use Twitter other than reading stuff linked here and on other sites, but I'd go on it just to like that.

Bad news, GAF. You're all uninvited from coming over to view the photo slideshow of my business trip to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where I stayed an extra day to see the sights.
