Didn't watch the anime but having read the manga I'd say that it's probably Monster.
I like Urasawa's work a lot, but the more I read them the more they feel samey and the more I think he tends to underdeliver when time comes to finish its story, it's all about the buildup leading to it, but it does tend to drag on a bit, 20th Century, Billy Bat have the same problems.
It's pretty telling that my favourite work from him is Pluto, much shorter and packed with a scenario where he was less involved (can't mess too much with Astro Boy) while still having that "Urasawa's touch" that I like a lot about him.

Master Keaton's stories might be on a smaller scope, but I think they suit his style better.

Oh man, completely forgot about Usagi Drop!! One of the anime better than the manga

Yep, good thing they didn't bother with the second half as well.
If the whole anime had been made with the same art style they used for each episode intro it would've been even better from a visual point of view, but even as it stands it's still a great artistic achievement from a visual and sound point of view (both music and japanese dub)

"10/10"? As in anime that has no problems whatsoever and/is consistently great throoughout? It's hard for me to think of any that are like that, even if I love them.

- Kenichi: The World's Strongest Disciple - this would probably be the closest, but the anime ended at around 50 episodes with lots left to be covered.
- Slayers/Next - Also love both of these, and also like Try as well, but the story wasn't particularly great in that series.
- Yu Yu Hakusho/Rurouni Kenshin - These are series whose highs are amazing, but their lows are pretty bad.
- Tenchi Muyo/Universe - These two series were both pretty great, but Tokyo is abysmal trash.

There's also stuff that carries a lot of nostalgia for me like DBZ, but even the good portions that I fondly remember are also filled with trash, to be honest.

Then there's also stuff like Inuyasha, which probably would be among my top 10 anime if it continued in quality of the first 50 or so episodes, but instead it all goes to hell shortly after Inuyasha learns the backlash wave.

- dragon ball
- dragon ball z
- one piece
- yu yu hakusho
- baccano
- cowboy bebop
- akira
- my neighbor totoro
- major!
- slam dunk
- hajime no ippo!
- code geass
- attack on titan (people are going to lose their shit at the second half of season 3, masterpiece is awaiting the non manga readers :)
- great teacher onizuka
- ruroni kenshin
- magi (not a manga reader, but really disappointed gaf isn't on the bandwagon)

There's no such thing as perfect. 10s for me are where the highs are so incredible and memorable, they greatly overshadow the lows. There's some shows that have more issues/flaws than other series but are clearly better due to their highs.

I don't know if Black Lagoon will ever continue, so I'd throw it in here as a 10/10 for me. Specifically the dubbed version. Yeah, I said it. DO NOT watch the Japanese version. It might one of the best, if not THE best anime dub ever.

Here's a pretty great example of why.
I can agree with this. The OVA didn't end on a cliffhanger or anything, and could easily be the series finale. The author's current rate for the manga basically means we won't be getting another season for 5 years at least, if ever.

Dub is a masterpiece.

the Black Jack OVA series is great. I'd even say its the best animated anything of Tezuka's work. There's a markedly less awesome show that came out much later, but the OVA works wonderfully as a series of stand alone stories, just like a lot of other medical dramas.

Oh! Forgot Cromartie High! Okay, that's probably the most perfect anime ever.

Samurai Flamenco is the biggest rollercoaster of feelings there ever was and probably ever will be and with writing that's smart while at the same time being high as fuck.

Baoh
Metal Skin Panic Madox-01
Gundam 0083
jojo 90's OVA (parts 4,5,6 only)
Bubblegum crisis (not 2040)
Area 88 OVA (not tv series)
Hokuto No Ken

I'm pretty stingy with 10/10 but these are absolute 10s for me (all completed):

Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku-hen (Trust and Betrayal)
Millennium Actress - as close to perfection as possible
5 Centimeters per Second - this one I know have issues but it's a personal fav for me
Serial Experiments Lain

Haven't seen Monster the anime but the manga is a 10/10, hopefully the Pluto anime would be the same.

Just finished Steins;Gate yesterday and thought it was to use a big word....convoluted and boring. Did I miss something?

Legends of the Galactic Heroes.

10/10 anime for its well developed large cast of characters, world building, various interweaving plot lines, glorious classical soundtrack, and no fan service.

Gonna have to go with Gurren Lagann.

Any anime with female characters specifically designed to whack off to are (mostly) invalid.

Even more so if the creators try to make them into "strong women" and have their cake and eat it too, or try to say they're making some "statement" about celebrating female sexuality and sex positivity when really all they wanna do is whack off.

I'll never, ever finish Gurren Lagann or Kill la Kill.

Without a doubt, Urusei Yatsura. You could put on any episode at random and I'd be at ease. The characters, the voice acting, the music, and the weird, weird stories...I love every bit of it.

Sure, there are other series that gripped me more--the various incarnations of Macross, Escaflowne, and Fushigi Yuugi, for example--but Urusei Yatsura is comfort food. I can't pop on an episode from, say, the first Berserk series (which I like) and feel content. With UY, I can. It's frustrating in a way because I've never encountered any other anime series that replicates this feeling. Not by a long shot. I even love the OVAs and movies, especially the former. Beautiful Dreamer is high on my list of all time favorites, with Lum the Forever close behind (for reasons I will never be able to explain).

Cmon guys, no mention of Maison Ikkoku yet?

I'm a huge fan of the comic, but he anime also holds a special place in my heart. My wife and I routinely quote lines from the series :)

Also, it has Yotsuya-san. No other series has Yotsuya-san and are, by default, inferior.

Most of the stuff that I gave a 10/10 on my MAL are movies, like:

- Princess Mononoke (still the greatest movie I have ever seen)
- The End of Evangelion
- Koe no Katachi - A Silent Voice (hnnnnngh, it was sooo good. And I'll see it in cinemas again on Tuesday)
- The Disappearence of Haruhi Suzumiya (not a fan of the TV show, the movie was fucking amazing, tho)

If I had to pick a TV show out of the bunch it'd either be Shirobako or Your Lie in April, with the latter being the only anime I legit bawled my eyes out. Thanks for the friendly reminder that I still need to see FMA:B, Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Steins;Gate, though. ;)

Berserk
Cowboy Bebop
Dragon Ball | Dragon Ball Z (though Super has picked up where Z left off)
Death Parade
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Gurren Lagann
Neon Genesis Evangelion
One Punch Man
Samurai Champloo
Slam Dunk
Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (my personal favorite, sequel series 2202 currently airing in movie form before inevitable TV anime adaptation a la 2199)
Steins;Gate
Yu Yu Hakusho

Bonus, OVA:
Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin): Trust and Betrayal

Top 3 I guess

Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Gunbuster
Madoka Magica

The instant konosuba is done it'll be my pick. I already have to talk myself out of rewatching a bit everytime I think about it.

Uh

There's currently 12 volumes out for the main series in Japan. Plus four spinoff volumes where Megumin is the protagonist, three of which are kind of essential to get the maximum impact out of volume 9's events. Then there's one spinoff book starting Vanir and Wiz, but that's not as important.

Going at the rate the anime has been going, you'd need at least seven seasons to cover everything if you include the Explosions books, and the series still isn't over (by current events, it has at least 2-3 more volumes left, possibly more). Konosuba is not getting seven seasons, we'll be lucky if the "new anime project" announced a little while ago is a proper third season and not just a volume 5 or Megumin prequel film (Megumin is by far the most popular character and volume 5 is her strongest volume so a movie of it would make some sense).

EDIT: If you just mean "until they stop making more of it" though then yeah that makes more sense I guess. Either way, oh boy are you in for a treat if they adapt volume 5, it's better than any of 1-4.
