My thinking is, they'll probably try to follow the "one character every other month and new content in the intervening months" schedule they set down at the beginning of this year. So if Zeku comes this month, the following month should theoretically be a new content month, and it'd make sense for the new content to be Christmas costumes given the time of year. It's equally possible that they'll do a repeat of last year, of course.

This prediction makes sense but time and time again Capcom throws us for a loop with the decisions they make.
Exactly, I mean Ono is at NYCC so it seems plausible that an announcement could be made, the last day of the Month is a Tuesday, so it is logical that is patch day. So none of these things will happen

What should i do about my character crisis? Stop playing until someone who interest me gets revealed? Maybe one of you went thru the same and can help a bit.

I just kept playing the same character and got over what I wanted his gameplan to be and got to like what it was.
NYCC is this weekend, right? I don't know if Zeku will be revealed there, if only because it might be a little too early in the month. But regardless, I'm fairly confident he'll be out by the end of the month.

Real talk, if they do more Christmas costumes this year, they need to make a Santa Claus costume for Birdie, and I think a FANG elf costume would work really well too. Give him a pointy hat and some of those shoes that twirl upward.

If only Giefs gimmick and design wouldn't be so boring. At least the design can be "fixed" and i would even pay for a good costume
That's literally happened before, is the worst part.
Ed & Menat probably would have been pleasant surprises (though we did already see Menat in Ed's story prior to her reveal), while Abigail's roller-coaster of reactions would have been much more extreme if he wasn't already leaked (veering closer to negative). Not sure about Zeku though, but people seem to be looking forward to him, so I guess that bodes well.

Since Blizzard refuses to do it for Roadhog, I still say Birdie needs a bad mall Santa outfit, with the beard halfway hanging off and everything.

True but after Kolin and Ed the assumption would be that all Characters are from the story mode, so abigail would have created a ton of buzz. The downside is people hoping for Azam.
I didn't mention Kolin because she mostly panned out the way I would expect her to if nothing leak, namely due to the fact that nobody had yet noticed Flowtron's leak at the time.

Unless the end of year announcement is a good one, most certainly disappointment.
Not because of bad roster choices, but because Jesus Christ these people need to show SOMETHING to get the hype going. At least we knew what the characters were, can you imagine not knowing that who they were gonna be? That would be so fucking annoying going months on end not knowing what you paid for or when you're getting it. At least with most other games' Season passes, they generally tend to narrow down the "when" part.
Abigail looked so fucking stupid when he was first shown and it wasn't until we saw some proper gameplay with him that he started to look appealing.
Wouldn't have changed much since they said we're getting five new characters before the leak, we pretty much got what we expected, with or without the leak.
I dabbled in Necalli and he is a hell of a lot more fun than bashing my head against a wall with Cammy for about 500 matches now, but holy fuck is his design and voice a garbage fire.
Alternatively, I wish that Menat was easier to play; her school costume is the GOAT because of the book.
I used to do terrible with him in the betas, but i guess i can at least take him into some casual matches.

The weeks before Abby were painful. The weeks during his reveal with the gameplay on wso and dissecting him before release were bliss. Capcom needs to fill up those weeks before.

I still remember the time Ono posted an off screen picture of a soda can on the ground and people were going crazy with speculation. Some people even thought this might be a possible DmC reference and stuff.
Oh to have that level of excitement for an upcoming character. I mean can you imagine a picture posted on the Capcpom twitter of Ken splatted against the screen with a cracked screen?
Or on off-screen picture of one hand doing the fingerguns?
Or of orbs flying across the stage?
Or of a big ball of Psycho energy?

In need of a secondary for Bison since Abby is shelved until I get more time.
She is dead easy to execute, though that doesn't necessarily mean that she's easy to play and win with. There's a reason why only one person is making waves with her in the tournament scene right now (and that person just so happens to be one of the most talented fighting game players of all time).

I know, their marketing and PR for anything fighting game related right now is a mess and inconsistent. Like, we had a few of those teasers you mentioned with Kolin (showing her ice effect by freezing Nash) and Ed (showing his psycho power by lifting Balrog in the air) however with Menat and Abigail it was non-existent. No teasers and went straight to their trailers.
They were focusing all of their advertisement on MvCI!
Yeah and look how that turned out! Still waiting for the NPD...

I honestly didn't mind that they revealed & released Menat quickly. Hopefully we'll get some Zeku info at NYCC.

No it wasn't, thanks. I honestly like the styling for Ed's school uniform hair better than how it is for his default (kinda like how it is for Karin's recent alts).
I guess it wouldn't matter but I figure Ono or Capcom didn't want fifty replies that were just the words "MENAT" if he tweeted a photo of an orb or something. The tweets don't really generate any discussion if everyone knows who is coming.
I miss those tweets and hope they return for S3.
