Being a minority doesn't magically excuse him being a white supremacist or prove that he can't be one. I don't know what ethnicity you are, but let me tell you, non-white people can form all the same thoughts and sentences that white people can, believe it or don't. It is entirely possible for someone to hate their own ethnicity or a range that includes their own.

Beyond the fact that you don't have to be white to be a white supremacist, he's clearly not inherently a member of a non-white group - at least ,not by his own classification.

It's up to them at the end of the day. I think this sends a message - "We believe bigoted statements and actions should not have consequences" - and it makes the decision to skip their game in this busy season all the easier.

Gears for Breakfast has shown themselves to collectively possess some very poor judgment many times in the past so I can't say I'm surprised by this. I didn't like that they felt the need to associate themselves with this guy before he told everyone to stop dirtying his gene pool, I'm obviously not impressed that he's still in it.

I preordered it months ago.
It is a great game - I played the Beta.
But I can't simply shrug and look away from this because 'the game looks great'.

I'll admit that I usually don't follow who review bombs who and why, but I find that extremely unlikely. There's going to be "Racist! etc etc" reviews for sure.
That's a weak comparison, considering that dude was fired, there's a much stronger personal/public connection between a voice actor and the resulting body of work, and someone else can unquestionably provide a drop-in replacement for recorded dialogue.
There's no way out of this that pleases everyone, either you upset most people or you upset the racists. What a conundrum.

I think it's ridiculous to expect a company to spend money and other resources redoing work just because of the views of a former employee / business partner.

Jon was basically celebrity endorsement for this game. It's very different to have had a sketchy programmer, then to have the face of your game be promoted by a immensely awful racist.
He was pretty firm on black people being genetically inferior to white people. He cited the current state of Africa as evidence to why blacks commit more crime than whites in America. There is not reading of that, that isn't talking about innate genetic inferiority.

Why is this guy voicing characters in kickstarter games anyway? Honestly, Games for Breakfast should've seen this from a mile away and should've removed this guy's voice from the game long ago.
Fine, don't remove him, how about a fucking comment of how the views jon expresses don't reflect that of the developers? How about an Assassins creed styled "people of many creeds worked on this game" minimum effort disclaimer? We're not getting any of that shit yet.
For Yooka Layle it was because he got connections through Grant Kirkhope during his game grumps days.
For this game it was a stunt casting.
