Hat in Time looks cute, but the fact of the matter is that it was low on the priority string for me, and him being in it lowers that a little bit because of the shit he spouts and the influence that has on young people.

There's a matter of scale that should be considered. Who is really harmed when you decide to advocate for a boycott due to a cameo like this? The person in the cameo, or the creators of the game? Whose worst crime seems to be silence over JonTron's statement?

Kind of answered your own question there. The issue of white supremacy is inherently one on racism, which is inconsolable. If you're not against it, that means you're fine with it. Over here, most "conservative" issues are being tied to white supremacy, by white supremacists, which is why a lot of issues seem to be "with us or against us" these days.

And JonTron is flat-out a white supremacist. We can only vote every year or so, & thanks to gerrymandering & our electoral college doing the opposite of what was meant to, our wallets have more power than our votes. In this case in particular, though, we're not even fighting political ideology, but one of hate. So not buying the game (Or redeeming a Kickstarter code) is one of the few ways we can fight against it.
