If you really wanted this game you would buy it for ps4. Be glad its coming to pc at all.
Whats the problem here? Yes they are putting a product our for sale, and noone is forcing you to purchase it?
What are you so bothered about? That you had to wait a year before being able to play it? Yes it sucks but if you are hyped for this game, be glad its coming at all.
If Atlus releases Persona 5 for pc in a year, are you gonna complain about that too instead of celebrating Japanese publishers having more and more faith in the pc platform?
Im not doing pr for sony, like I said I play more on pc than on consoles these days. So Im not sure what your issue is.

People are complaining because there are factual elements the game was planned earlier for the platform and that a delay happened, coincidently at the same time as a platform holder "partnered" with a 3rd party. Something something Tomb Raider.
Edit: Remember your original post: You claimed the PC port wasn't planned at launch.
Steam database proves that the app was uploaded more than a year ago, which was a lot before the launch.

People are criticising that it might be moneyhatted
- Nioh was uploaded more than one year ago via Steamapp, so it seems its been planned to be on PC from the start.
- FFX/X-2 was finished as a steamapp at the same time the PS4 version came out.
- If it comes out that P5 was actually uploaded on Steam already before, people are in their right to criticise moneyhatting.
The same happens in every MS PUBG thread. Whether its MS, Sony, Nintendo, whoever doing it, thats not the problem. Moneyhatting in general sucks for the consumer...
I'm not gonna celebrate Atlus, at all or even SEGA Japan, they can just fuck off with their attitude and hate against the PC platform. You have to celebrate software houses like From Software, Namco Bandai and PlatinumGames when it comes to japanese PC games, and yes Bayonetta and Vanquish went to PC thanks to SEGA Europe and PlatinumGames ofc.
I'm not expecting anything from both SEGA Japan and Atlus.

With a huge backlog I honestly couldn't care less if a game takes an extra year to come out. What difference does it make?

You're clearly missing the point here.
PC players were supposed to play this game in February, not November. Would you be disappointed if your anticipated game got delayed? And this is not due to technical issue like delays, but only because of Sony money-hatting the game. An anti-customer move from a corporate.
The fact that it didn't come out 9 months ago because Sony appears to have paid them off and marketed it as a PlayStation exclusive - which is something that they have been doing a lot of recently.
- They paid Capcom for PSVR exclusivity in Resident Evil 7 - you still can't play it in VR on PC yet.
- They paid Bungie to delay Destiny content on the Xbox One version of the game - so much that it is releasing on that platform after Destiny 2.
- They have paid to silence developers from talking about the PC versions of games before release.
- That now seems to extend to delaying games entirely and silencing developers from talking about the existence of a PC version. In this case, they're relaunching it as a "complete" version of the game. In other cases, the games just get dumped on Steam without any kind of marketing at all, and often do poorly. That sort of thing weakens the platform. Why bother with PC at all if the last game only ended up selling 20,000 copies?
- Games which were previously announced to be coming to PC have now become full-blown PlayStation Exclusives - as far as we know, anyway.

People who wanted to play the game Day 1 AND on PC, now had to buy two copies (One for PS4, one for PC), unlike most other games were you can manage to get both by buying only one

Man, I dont really care or oppose to your opinion but people were complaining about the strategy that a company took that its anti consumer and you pretty much were telling them that is fine because they still get to play it. You are, looking at it in the least suspicious way, playing devil's advocate.
Users don't like when other users defend companies, and rightfully so because there's no real good way to do that without putting companies interests first, and you're not supposed to be on that side.

Not saying that is probably also in the contract. Feels pretty pointless to sign a timed exclusivity deal if then you're going to let the dev say it is.
Also Sony wouldn't be able to "make mistakes" with its exclusivity tags :S

Its not coming to switch, xbox one, any other console. There have been more Sony 'exclusive' games that appear on pc. There was a chance for this to come to pc. We never knew for sure tho.

Because Koei Tecmo gave PC gamers a giant middle-finger by participating in a deal like this, and now they want us to be happy about that and buy their game at full price nine months after release.
These deals often prevent the companies from confirming or acknowledging the existence of a PC version, or announcing a release date for it.
Just look at how how absurd things got around NieR:Automata - and that was after months of silence and refusing to confirm the PC release after the initial announcement.
