I think people generally shouldn't expect patches for pre-2015 titles, no matter how popular they are. Unfortunately that includes hits like Sunset and Ryse, both of which I would love to see a patch for.

Has anyone had their US Amazon preorder for the Scorpio Edition update the delivery date? My preorder still says

Mine still says this as well. Honestly I don't mind whenever it comes, just as long as it comes period. No rush here.
No rush I guess, though I do like being a first adopter. Well, I do expect huge improvements with pcars2 at least.
Still, these are the games I foresee playing for quite some time yet. A decent to great update for each would make my purchase easier
You are fine. I would not worry at all. My PS4 Pro and Xbox One S preorders both had the same things listed and I received both on release day. I'm sure everything is fine...
Well I would guess Scorpio pre-orders are safe. Regular Xbox One X not sure.
But you have the option to preorder from MS directly, GameStop, or Best Buy currently.
So if you are concerned about Amazon, go with one of those other options.

I'm not at home at the moment so I can't check but I believe that the current alpha/beta dashboards allow you to download the XB1X assets. At least I remember seeing a toggle for it in the system settings.

Has anyone done noise tests on these? My day one used to make a faint squealing noise (coil whine?), then when I got the S it makes a kind of clicking sound. Hoping that the X is a regular fan sound, I don't mind a bit of wind noise.

Option is there in the Beta build... but I don't know how to tell if they've been downloaded or not.
Go to my games and apps and use the enhanced for Xbox X filter at the top.
For me Gears 4 and Forza have been downloaded so far.

My brother who works at a Mediamarkt in my country told me they are only receiving like 3 or 4 One X consoles, crazy. I'm gonna check at my MM tomorrow just to make sure my preorder is still good.
No one but MS knows. It will be this month though. They already fixed most bugs in the alpha and beta builds and the latest update comes with an intro video that showcases all new features etc.

That's not a lot of units. Are those for sale or does that include pre-order stock?
When I went there to pick up my PS4 Pro on launch morning they had an entire pallet of units ready for sale.
I'm assuming it will be ready end of this month ie Oct.

No idea but I do have to mention that the town where he works at the Mediamarkt is a rather small town and on top of that Holland definitely can be called Playstation land. I'm going to my MM tomorrow and ask how many they are receiving.

Plus the last few updates have been about bug fixing... which is what happened in the weeks leading up to the last dashboard release.
Updated avatars is the only thing that's outstanding off the top of my head...

I have held off replaying it and all of its DLC till the X releases.
I have a gut feeling we will finally get the version without framepacing issues that we have wanted for awhile here.

I ordered day one on MS Store online and it always said "ship by Nov 30". I assumed it would be updated when we got closer but it wasn't. So i called yesterday and they confirmed online orders from the MS store would not be on launch day. It didn't sound right because i could still get launch day units from other stores but ok. So i canceled and ordered from best buy.
But Forza 7 is brand new.....how can that only be £6?
Even so getting those 3 games for the same price as the console on its own is very good value. Going to switch my pre-order to them.
Forza will be like 20 quid by Christmas. It's a good buy for people new to Xbox One and I agree, better than no games like Scorpio edition or whatever.

Yeah, this sounds about right. Seems MS bought into their premium message too much themselves and underestimated demand. Most retailers are saying they are only getting a few per store and not a lot like they did for the Xbox One or Xbox One S.

Because you would keep forza, but buying from Curry's online is not worth the hassle... I'd rather know i was getting one without weeks delay, or waiting an age for a refund., They don't have a great rep.

Less than 30 days now... I do wish this was releasing in time for my Extra Life event marathon Nov 4th. Would have been great to stream from the console and talk about impressions but it will have to wait.

No. A regular edition but i did it as soon as they opened up and it always had the same message. I assumed they were playing it safe and it was a "well if we run out of launch units yours will definitely be sent by 11/30" type message but according to their customer service only people who ordered at a physical store for the midnight release will get theirs on launch day.

Do we have any idea as to when early previews/reviews will start to drop? I'm both excited and afraid, as I feel it won't take much hype for me to make an irresponsible decision here.
