Also it can be argued you can get an advantage in LoL because you can purchase champions faster than a pure f2per and have more options available each game.

Buying champions will not give you any advantage, since you still have to learn that champion, get to level 30, get the minimum amount of number of champions, buy runes (which will change), learn how to not suck in ranked, etc...

by the time you get to that point, you and that lad who didn't spend money are at the same level and the same number of champions

I mean, you are spending the IP you need to buy Runes on Champions and thus he may have the same number of champions as you but he is going to have a better set of runes than you do. Which is a direct gameplay advantage. With enough games played that advantage disappears as you acquire the same runes, but for two new players the one who spends money does end up with a gameplay advantage in the short term.

It does give you an advantage in choice. Bobby poor only has 20 champions at level 30, with a partial rune set. Jimmy Spoils has 80 champions at 30 with a full rune set thanks to IP boosts(which will change). Jimmy has alot more choice in what to play against certain team comps compared to Bobby. Assuming they both have equal skill, Jimmy will always have more choice in what to pick, whenever he wants.

That is an advantage. You can disagree, but having better and more choices is having an advantage.

They are not doing investigative reporting. You could call them that if you want, but I was commenting on your original comment. They are not there to "Journalize"

They do not need to be "correct," in most of the content, and it does not harm anyone when they are mistaken every now and them. They air an opinion and we like listening because of that. The one part of the site where facts are important is in a review, where they should understand many facets of a game well before they write one, but a review is still just an opinion. Also, reviews make up a tiny fraction of their overall content.

Getting mad at them for not doing the job of a "Journalist" well is going to lead to constant aggravation, as their job (regardless of what you called it), is more layered than simply journalizing events.

Yeah, I believe Jeff has mentioned this on numerous "Jar Time"s, where he talks about what type of people they look to hire for new roles. It's not standard "writers/editors" anymore.

This is a trait exclusive to Ben. It's not like they got a whole host of things wrong as a crew last episode e.g. practically everything they said about SFV... One of the thing I prefer about the Beastcast is that they have the corrections segment.

I was almost going to fold and give in my need for Mordor then I discovered that they have 2 tribes locked being special editions of the game. It irked me even more about them going on about how microtansaction strategies are crucial to big game publishers making a profit in the current market. The game's amazingly greedy even for a WB game and it doesn't help that so little seems to have changed for the sequel.

It takes a bit of a dip in quality in the second half, I think. The more and more you know about the nature of the beast the less interesting it becomes. Still very excited to see what they do in the next season.
