Yep I certainly think that was the intent.

Yup. The way the Yang/Blake scenes are constructed during those last two episodes of Volume 3 are meant to evoke a romantic intent. The dialogue, the cuts, the shot compositions.

It may not be Yang or Blake explicitly saying they're in love with the other, but the implications are absolutely all there.

Hell Adam's comment about Blake 'hurting him' could be also in reference to that.

Yup. Adam's dialogue about Blake and Yang are all very much coded in romantic tropes.

Seriously, if that scene were with Yang as a man or with Sun and still followed the same shots, cuts and dialogue, no one would be arguing what the scene's intent was.

... Speaking of Yang... ;_____;

I have a head theory that Ruby is quite aware of what she did to Cinder
She just doesn't want to think about that she hurt someone so viciously for hurting her friend.

Not going to lie (end of Vol 4 spoilers)
When Tai gives the choice to Yang to go after Ruby or her mother I was really hoping she was going after Blake.

Last scene of vol 4, I honestly thought she was doing just that, seeing as she was on the boat and all. Really looking forward to the two reuniting in vol 5, hopefully.

Genuinely, I don't think she's ready to even think about it, which means when they do cross it'll take her off guard.

I initially figured while V4 was airing that Yang would end up in Menagerie due to how the OP was constructed with her being covered by Adam and those White Fang twins.

However there was no way that Yang could have ever realistically gone after Blake at the end of Volume 4, since she has no idea where she went off to.

Yeah I know, was just kinda hoping XD

Also hello Salem.

Honestly, neither of them are. I would be stunned if Blake doesn't initially try to run away again when she first sees Yang. It's going to be an intense reunion, to be sure.

Honestly I think it's going to take a good chunk of a volume for Blake to be able to regain Yang's trust.

Ever notice how the boat they were both on is the "SS Pride?"

But yeah, the V5 reunion should be pretty interesting to see how it goes down.

What I love about the Salem reveal is that the fucking story OPENS with her monlologue and its her doing the narration of various parts including many of the 'World Of Remnant' Shorts. To have that turn out to be the true villain all along was a nice very small twist.

I'm still surprised how much depth the show has at times.

I hope Volume 5 can reach the highs of Volume 3. Volume 4 was good, but was more of a transition season to 5. Excited to see if RWBY can continue to impress me like it has been.

Yup. He definitely came out a winner in this volume.

I hope to see that change in Volume 5 or 6.
Yang reaallllllllllyyyy needs a win after all the shit she took in Volume 3.

God, "Cold" always breaks my heart to listen to. I had a friend who I found out was a fellow RWBY fan right after V3 ended and he passed away in a freak medical accident less than a month later. I always think of him when I hear this song.

Ending dialogue would have been better if they played that "World of Remnant" that gave the backstory on the Maidens

Just what this series needed, magic eye hax powers!

Sasuke would be proud.

It's not a shonen if a main character doesn't have "visual prowess :p

and it's not like it completely came out of nowhere, because her first narration ends with her talking to Ozpin and he responds

In any case, waiting for Vol 4 tomorrow is gonna be a pain in the neck, that's for sure.

Volume 4 is a whole new beast of animation, RT switch to Maya rather than Poser, and everything outside of the combat (still missing Monty's touch) is improved upon.

I don't think the stream broadcast the four coloured trailers, and as such probably not the Volume 4 character short.

I whole-heartedly recommend.

It's not just volume 3, Volume 2 Yang got absolutely wrecked by Neo. Shes such a fun character so seeing her take a majority of the beatings (both physically and mentally) just makes me want to see her kick some ass already.
