I wondered if hey might have sort sort of tunnelling interface for Xbox BC games so you can play them online. They have gone out of their way to make Lan play work, so that would be a logical step that would be pretty cool.

I really hope your right.

The Xbox One will read OG Xbox discs, and/or BC titles can be played on PC.

Or just rendering in higher resolutions.

My guess is they are bringing back up the original xbox live servers hosted on azure and then integrating them with current xbox live servers for matchmaking, freinds list, ect.

The catch to this is you'd also need to spin up all the middle servers to make a lot of games actually work again. Like Halo 2 and splinter cell

If Durante could intercept the draw calls between the Dark Souls renderer and Directx 9 to increase rendering resolution without any direct code access, then I'm sure Microsoft could do the same thing for their emulator.

Please be right, please be right, please be right.

The YT video of Fusion Frenzy from a week or two back looks better than upscaled 480p, so it's gotta be higher native resolution support that he's hinting at. I already expect better performance on OG Xbox BC stuff, but I'd love a rebuilt form of OG Live support for games that would really benefit from it.

The idea of popping in mm SSX3 disc again after all this time sounds amazing. Also my grabbed by the ghoulies....I liked it quite a bit..

Now I just need Xbox controller s to be happy.

OK, so holding the bumpers and pushing the back button shows you the tags for apps on XB1 software.

I don't have the update to download X patches yet but I'm curious to go though my games once I do.

Best feature I can think of:

For OG Xbox emulation, they’ve built in, for free, achievements, without requiring any dev to re-code the game. Don’t know if that’s possible but that would be amazing.

That wouldn't be X exclusive.

My guess is that OG Xbox and 360 games will render at higher resolutions on the X rather than be upscaled as well as the confirmed 16x AF.

Interesting. How are folk able to check those tags?

In the Games and Apps app, highlight a game, hold LB + RB and press "View" (old Back button), it will open a popup with some informations about the game's package.

Some other games were updated recently : Gears of War, Halo Wars, ...
They now show "Xbox-Scorpio" along with "Xbox-Durango" (original Xbox One code name).

Forgot about 16x AF for 360 BC. If the X renders those two libraries at higher res then that's going to be awesome, I wasn't considering upgrading from the S but I would if it rendered higher for BC.

I take it you're in the alpha ring? All I see in my dash (beta branch) is an X1XE value set to false.

Yes I'm in the alpha ring, also, I checked the "download 4K assets" option, but I don't know if it affects backward compatibility title (i.e. : download Scorpio specific code, I know there's no 4K assets for BC games).
