Rocksteady: "People are going to lose their minds [when we start talking again]"

Arkham VR came out about a year ago. Of course, I'm sure that development didn't require all hands on deck. Their last AAA release was Arkham Knight in June 2015. So it's about time for a new game announcement.

Rocksteady's official twitter has also had new life brought to it this month, showing concept art from various Arkham games. Much like Monolith's Twitter did before announcing Shadow of War.

What are your thoughts/predictions on the announcement window and IP for Rocksteady's next game?

Plz be gentle it's my first thread

Justice League or Superman game.

Release date 2018.

Loot boxes up the ass as well, worse than Shadow of War as well.

Arkham [word for a collective gathering of humans in a specific area]

Beat goons up to get lootboxes. They have bat gadgets inside them. Can buy lootboxes for real money.

What do we know about this? Have they ruled out it being a Batman game, because I loved those first two Arkhams but have zero desire for any more.

Not that much actually. I think some Rocksteady concept art for Superman leaked a couple of years ago, but not that much. They were hiring multiplayer developers too.

My guess is that they're working on that infamous Justice League game everyone thinks they're doing.

My prediction is a Superman game. Whether or not it'll be a good one, I cannot say, but it seems the obvious route for the studio. It's the obvious expectation people have had for the studio a while now.

YES. Give me all the ensemble third-person action-adventure superhero games
If not, just give us a Batman Beyond or Superman game

I love the Arkham games, I think they could do well making something in a similar vein, but I want it to be a character that is NOTHING like Batman. Give them room to breathe and make some cool new abilities and gadgets and whatnot. Anything Batman, catwoman, robin, etc, is going to come with too much baggage.

Probably won't be Batman. A larger than life Superman game would be kick-ass

I'll take anything they give though

I really hope it isn't Superman. I have no interest in seeing that and being held back by whatever limitations that would include. I would like just about any other DC property
What I really want is Batman Beyond

They realize their name is Rocksteady and not Rockstar right? Arkham Knight was nowhere near as good as City was. While I think they are a talented and capable developer, why would we lose our minds?

Asylum was released at that perfect time of during and after Dark Knight and they capitalized on what was then a slightly more innovative combat system and utilized the massive fame of Batman to push the game. I just hope whatever it is is not a PubG/Destiny 2 style game.

Ultimate loot boxes.

Hope it's something refreshing from them. I am completely burned out on Arkham games.

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
TMNT would be awesome, but if we stick to DC properties then Superman needs a good game. Rocksteady might be able to take advantage of the open world a bit better.

Batman can probably rest for now. It can come back with new life later. Although I miss Kevin Conroy Batman and Hamill Joker, so maybe a Justice League game involving both but be unrelated to the Arkham universe.

Hmmmm... OK, you know what, that could be cool. Let me play as The Flash and I'm in.

Because any known IP getting a AAA video game would probably make people lose their minds regardless of the dev?

Too bad that Ninja Turtles rumor a few years back was bunk. I would have really loved to see that game.

... and someone at WB needs to make Harry Potter already.

I'd like Superman but I recall a thread recently that suggested their next game would have a multiplayer component, which sounds more along the lines of the Justice League. Either way, if it's not DC related, a new IP then.

If they pull of a Superman game I'd consider them the greatest developers that ever existed.

I don't expect that though. I don't know what I expect.

Everybody wanted to explore a cartoon Manhattan as their favourite TMNT.....denied. We'll take a Rocksteady spin on a ''The Real Ghostbusters'' world instead :)

Announcement Feb/March, first gameplay E3. If it's more Batman I expect a 2018 release but if it's something more daring then 2019.
