If Sony was to greenlight Bloodborne 2 without From, which studio would you prefer?

Now, lets not make this a "I would rather we didnt have the game at all without From and Lord Miyazaki-sama".

I am 100% sure a Bloodborne 2 without From and Miyazaki on board would not be the same. But lets work with the hypothesis that From Software and Miyazaki doesnt want to work on a sequel at all, never ever. Personally, I would never choose not having a game at all than having it and not reaching my expectations. The aesthetics alone of Bloodborne makes me thirsty for another game with that atmosphere.

So, which studio could Sony approach to make a worthwhile sequel? Would you prefer a studio with experience in the gameplay and level design loop of the Souls design philosophy (Team Ninja did a great job on Nioh) or would you rather want to see a totally different studio ahead of the project (after all it is never going to be better than Bloodborne 1 anyway, so lets go wild?) and give it to, lets say, Naughty Dog (come on, admmit you are curious now about a Souls like Naughty Dog game lol)?

Personally I think Santa Monica would handle it really well. They absolutely nail the asthethics of everything they do and have experience with action combat gameplay, so why not?

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

No

And to answer the question:
No

I'm gonna get a lot of flak for this but

after DmC and Hellblade, I'd give it to Ninja Theory.

EDIT: I'm not alone!

EDIT2: OP said "Now, lets not make this a "I would rather we didnt have the game at all without From and Lord Miyazaki-sama"." Of course we got 5 posts saying exactly that.

I imagine if they wanted another Bloodborne the best option would be they'd just tap some of the Sony Japan folks who already collaborated with FromSoftware in the past.

I know you said not to turn this thread into a "just don't" but...

I mean, being honest, I'd really rather they just not.

lets say, Naughty Dog (come on, admmit you are curious now about a Souls like Naughty Dog game lol)?

God no

And I have no idea. I don't have much reverence for FROM, but those games are distinctly different from all of the others in the genre in some seemingly intangible ways. Any other studio would fuck something up.

Get rocksteady to do it for all I care, because who cares if its not FROM

edit: you know, soul sacrifice was a cool ass game aesthetically and with its storytelling. I think inafune would be terrible, but maybe some of the design team can do something interesting

If it wasn't From Software, Sony's Japan Studio is the only logical choice. They worked closely with From on Bloodborne, so they most likely already know the vision of the sequel.

Either a large pool of Japan Studio talent that worked on the first game or no one.

Bloodborne doesn't need a sequel and it certainly doesn't need a sequel without FROM and/or Japan Studio.

Should be a studio capable of action/fighing games and possibly Japanese as I don't see an European or American team capable of taking over the art of Bloodborne.

If really forced to go an outsourcing would be the team behind Nioh.
So Koei Tecmo.

Nope.

Bloodborne (along with The Old Hunters) is a complete experience that has no need for a sequel.

It's one of the best games ever made. Let's leave it alone.

A Bloodborne sequel without Miyazaki and FROM would be much worse sequel than Dark souls 2.

Let's hope it never happens.

They didn't really develop any part of Bloodborne.
They produced it. Sony Japan co developing is a fallacy.

Naughty Dog are the best dev in the world IMO, but no, don't waste their talent on a soulslike. They make the best action adventure games. Let them do what they do best.

Deck13 could make it though since I prefered The Surge over Dark Souls.

Capcom would be good at this. They are a bit better suited for producing the expected scope and detail of environments, and they have all the RE experience of setting the righ tone. A Team Ninja collab for building on Ni-Oh gameplay would be perfect.
