I’ll contribute too.

(there’s a version with vocals, but unlike the next few ASO releases that I own the vocal versions were a separate album, and it’s not on YouTube...)

Actually, it’s weird thinking I used to buy doujin albums; it’s been a while since I kept up with some of that. Once Umineko ended and I stopped going on certain communities as much some time after, Comiket hasn’t really been a thing I think about anymore.

Oh I had no idea this existed. Thank you so much for this <3

No problem! Here’s their whole discography if you wanna look into them further. Though I guess you should look at their site (the link’s on that page) as well since it doesn’t list the vocal version of the first album or their retro song only album.

This sucks though because now I really wanna listen the ones I own but I took them off my phone for space forever ago. Though I guess I should get around to actually syncing all this new music I have to my phone instead of just listening through Bandcamp and such anyway, so that’s a good incentive to deal with that this week.

I don't know if I'm being particularly sensitive to it but I can't help but notice Ben's frequent uhhhing, had to skip ahead after a bit of The Evil Within 2 talk because it was getting distracting.

Feel like the Bombcast has been getting better lately, between this and the 500th episode which I also enjoyed. I guess I look for more laid back conversations.

Fuuuuck Nier PS3 sold out again.

I didn’t end up buying that copy for my friend earlier because SE’s store wouldn’t let me check out on my phone and Paypal was messing with my address. Ugh.

I guess worst case I just try my best to finish that Plat in time to send my copy for their birthday? Hmm.

GT Sport sounds like what it was gonna be aka its not really a traditional GT game.

And it sounds like it took a bunch of pointers from iRacing.

Seems very interesting but that definitely means i will wait for a price drop or something because i'm not that hardcore.

Peter Brown is fucking great LOLOL

I’m just starting up GT Sport a day late because of this fucking day one patch but if it can make racing people online a not terrible experience it deserves a 10/10 because I’ve never seen such a thing.

I'm not interested in realistic driving games but I'm kinda into how audacious Polyphony Digital are in the design. You can tell they don't give a crap what sacrifices people have to make as long as they can execute on their vision.

Don't think I've ever had a good experience racing online in a GT game.

Edit: SO glad beastcast said fuck off to the terrible quiz emails.

Gran Turismo Sport sounds INSANE.

It's fucking stupid. I like sim racing and the entire design of the game still turns me off. Saw it coming for awhile though. The way the talked about it, then the lack of campaign and finally the beta. I have no doubt in my mind that a large portion of the GT fan base will also not be happy. GT base is pretty mainstream and not just a collection of gear heads like the people that play iRacing.

Yeah, I just found out about Video Bomb on the Google Play Store. It has the same sync feature from the new API stuff, so it's pretty much replaced GBVB on my phone.

no Vinny = no sunshine.

They're doing some wrestling stream thing tomorrow.
Maybe 2K18 will get caught in a loop again and, while waiting for the loop to resolve itself, Alex can start up Fire Pro Wrestling World and check out the wonderful creations uploaded on the Steam Workshop.

That Grand Turismo discussion...

As a huge motorsports fan, the rules are obvious, but in a videogame it's just more bullshit.

I can understand it in a specific competitive mode, or within a "championship," but subjecting casual players to FIA-style rules is absurd.

Let me have those chaotic turn 1 moments, and races in which I can just have fun with.

Dan not even trying to understand DnD almost made be snap.

oh yeah I had my dnd game tonight

we did the same scenario they did in unplugged(Where you get ambushed by a few goblins.) So my friends get ambushed by the goblins, everything looks dire(As one went ot examine the horse, and the other ones character was disgusted by the dead animals.) So the goblins charge at my friend who was disgusted, and then he decides to do an ability check of him flaunting his pedigree of nobility(Through a Charisma check), succeeds by screaming that he is in fact a noble and that those curs dare even get close to him, the goblins run away in fear. Mostly confusion.

At this point is where they're supposed to go to the cave/crags mouth, and I let them talk about what they'll do next. One(Mr. Pedigree) wants to go to town to spend his gold, the other one(Folk Hero) wants to bury the horses(True to their characters). So my friend who wants to go to town(Mr. Pedigree) manages to win a persuasion check against my friend, and they go to town. It's the middle of the night, they never rested, and the reach the gate. At this point I threw the starter campaign out and decided to place a disguised cultist at the doorway, with the simple query to my friends 'Are you here for the summoning?'. Mr. Pedigree again, using his charisma, persuades the cultist that he is infact their Dark Lord Landras(By rolling a 20 on the check), who's been missing for centuries, and that my other friend is the sacrifice for the summoning. So they go to the middle of the town where there's a bonfire, and there's 6 other cultists.

At this point the lead cultist(Who was at the town) is amazed by the fact that the dark lord is still alive, and exclaims it must be because the summonings with sacrifices do indeed work. Mr. Pedigree exclaims that they do, and at this point tries to persuade the cultists that in order to reach immortality, the cultists must kill themselves and that the final offering of an unwanting victim(The Folk Hero) will bring them all back as immortals. So I make him do another charisma check. He rolls a 1. At this point he has failed spectacularly, the cultists see holes in his story, and they start slowly advancing to grab both players and throw them into the pit. Everything goes to hell, the folk hero gets knocked out almost immediately, and Mr. Pedigree fought and killed a couple but died.

It was pretty fun. I don't know how or when to do Saving Throws, so I asked them to do it after every attack they received. *Shrug*.

You don’t have to do a saving throw against a basic attack, that’s handled by AC. I haven’t played 5th edition, but most things that require a saving throw will specifically call for one. Generally a saving throw is used to resist damage from something that armor wouldn’t help against. Actively dodging a trap or Aoe attack (Dex), Resisting a poison (Con), certain spell effects will require a saving throw to resist them, etc

And to clarify something a bit: Ability to dodge a basic attack is included AC as the Dex bonus if your armor isn’t too heavy.

Gotcha, that makes sense, thanks.

Sport mode should just be a mode for the people that want that experience, not basically the whole game.

<snip>

That sounds fun. Did your friends like it (though I guess they 'died')? I had a verbose post about the politics of GB via Jeff's rare interjections and the site's intentions planned, but this is more in tune with me never ever posting on GAF. Used to RPG with my friends a lot, but we got old.

Having Peter Brown around is always a good time! Love whenever he's on the Bombcast.
Did any of you guys end up playing Observer? Was it good? It's €18 on PSN and i'm a little tempted.

I'll be playing it this weekend. Data West played it and mentioned that the first half is strong and the second half is eh IIRC. You have to know what you're getting into though since it's a hide and seek horror game which is not my kind of game but I only got it for the cyberpunk vibes and Rutger Hauer.

I did find the racing etiquette video in GT Sport pretty funny.

They kept emphasising how sportsmanship is all about trying to not look bad. Of course there are a couple lines about not ruining the races for other people or fairness or whatever but the main takeaway is about not looking bad and bringing shame upon yourself.
