I had auto-brightness turned on before the update, with my brightness below max. Now I feel like it's dimmer even at max brightness with auto-brightness on.

That does nothing for majority of the people though unless it allows backing up saves to the SD card or cloud.
Really, why even use anything but your Mii?! There are some nice icons available but I could never not use my Mii, lol.
But yeah, I assume there are no ARMS characters simply because theyre sticking to more popular and well known franchises for profile icons right now, and ARMS is still very new and all. Its a shame that its limited to only characters owned 100% exclusively by Nintendo, though. That means no Kirby, no Fire Emblem, and, of course, no Pokémon. I hope that changes in time. (Not that Ill ever use them anyway, though, lol.)
Ehhh... I like this update too but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Nintendo still hasn't reached the base level of OS features in 2017.

Via the dock's USB. It seems to work for the wireless headsets that use a dongle.
That's disappointing. What if I give up my Switch and want to backup my saves so I can buy a Switch in the future. Or what if I want to trade in Switch A for a Super Switch B.
Also can I just check with purchases. I assume I can buy another Switch and download any game I've bought to it? Without having to transfer.

How exactly are they doing this? It's still missing the majority of the features of consoles that were released in 2013.
Is it only on select titles? Must have missed that.

These are rudimentary features that were present 4 years ago.
Yeah, that's what I mean. Online is still a trainwreck, but the minimalist home screen and responsive UI is welcome.
Given that I mostly play "indie" games or less graphically demanding games means that the Switch has higher potential for improvement in my eyes. I still mainly play on PC, but the future for Switch is looking really good. Impressed the recording was even possible.

You'd think that video recording would be an OS level thing instead of a game by game situation. Not being able to record in a ton of games stings. Badly. Also, only 30 seconds? I get it's no PS4, I'm not asking that, but 30 seconds seems stingy...

It probably is working on an OS level, but they are just enabling it with a few games to start with.

But... aren't Nintendo games not on Twitch? They are really oogie-boogie about people showing LPs, right?
Seems like the games might have to be made compatible. BotW, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 get regular updates, but didn't Mario Kart 8 just get its first update in quite a while? Probably adding video capture.
We had some rumours about an achievement system coming, didn't we? Would make sense to offer that as an opt-in, too, then.

We don't even have a Web Browser and Youtube app, so Twitch is far away...also i think at least there it's non Nintendo fault, Google and Twitch are the one who should make and submit those Apps to Nintendo for being approved on the eShop, looks like they still don't care about the Switch

Just an fyi I did the system/controllers and sensors/update controllers and it updated both controllers. Might be some connectivity fixes etc!
Didn't MK8 needed first an update before it worked? That doesn't sound like working on an OS level to mee.

Nope, you still have to use the app. Some wireless headsets that have their own proprietary dongle can connect now, but I assume only as headphones. There's no added functionality in the system for mic and chat.
