Yep, they charged my CC as well, so fingers crossed.

I hope there's a tweet or some kind of link for this.
Not that I don't believe you, it's just I've needed to show the clerks that promotions like this exist.

It was in one of their promo emails advertising $299 Recycled Limited Edition Consoles. I tried following the link to see if they're advertising on their site and don't see anything.

Maybe they'll throw an ad up tomorrow? I can see recycled consoles on sale on their site.

I would bang a hot farmer!
How long does it usually take Amazon to price match something Best Buy has? This isn't game-specific.
Best you can do is report the lower price and hope they match it. They don't have an actual price match policy for other retailers.

In more Shoppers news... Mario Odyssey is in their flyer this week (don't get excited about breaking street dates, it says it releases on the 27th)

but the price given is $99.99...!!!

That’s wild. The one here doesn’t show it, I’m really hoping that’s just a typo.

Oh so that's why the bundle was 500$ :p

Probably a mistake unless they are giving some gift with it.

I stopped ordering physical games off of Amazon because (forget release day arrival) Amazon decided to start shipping games multiple days to a week AFTER launch. I assume others have had the same experience in this thread?
Switch or PS4 or 3ds.
I live in a remote area where I never expected release day arrival and they've slowly been taking shipping options away from me as I assume they transition to that garbage DHL service? I can't even pay extra for priority shipping anymore, its just listed as free and fucking 3 to 8 business days for arrival.
I can still order household supplies cheaper then at my local stores thankfully, but they forced me to get prime in the first place to preorder a switch so I won't be renewing

Legit, they SHIPPED my copy of Destiny 2 on Monday.

Not the Monday before the game. The Monday after. A full fucking week after. I talked to support on Friday, and they legit told me it was because I didn't have Prime. Thats why it was shipped so late.

And guess where they shipped it from? The distribution centre 20 minutes away from me.

Fucking lol.

Walmart charged my cc today for my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition pre-order. I wonder why they're charging now when it doesn't ship until the 7th...

Already contacted Shoppers Customer Support about this. Will report back whether or not this is a typo.

Hope it's 79.99. Was going to pick this up from them next weekend.

I don't know if any folks near Scarborough Town Centre are still interested, but the Dollarama there had a bunch of Guitar Hero Live controller + game bundles for Wii U available.

Damn it, are these ever anywhere west of Yonge Street? It's all Ottawa and Scarborough and shit. I've yet to find any.

liquidations are always a scam. the actual good deals don't start until the majority of inventory is already gone.

Yup, was pretty terrible to be honest. Most things were 20% off. Will wait for deeper discounts. Place was packed, I don't think Sears has ever been that busy before...

This was more or less my experience, but I needed some socks and some new Dockers and some new kitchen essentials so 20% off on some of that was about as good as I was hoping for. They got some good sweaters and some really fair prices, I don't know that you'll do much better than 20% off reasonable prices buying fall/winter stuff in October.

I would say that while the deals aren't awesome, remember that Target sold out of its liquidation stock early, so don't wait too long if you're set on something.

no charge for Fire Emblem Warriors

rip in peace getting it on Friday. I had to buy Etrian Odyssey V from EB too. BB is slipping :(

Don't think BB got Metroid to me on time either. Guess Fire Emblem will ship sometime tomorrow and CP will leave a notice for me to get it, even though someone is always home.

Apartment hunting sucks!

Latest thing, call a place, leave a message, get no answer response. Try using their online form to set up an appointment, later that day I get an email back saying the appointment is cancelled and to call the superintendent via a different number. I do, he says he won't be showing the apartment until Friday... I call at 9AM this morning, immediately he tells me it's already been rented.

... ugh.

We'll be playing Jackbox Party Pack 4 tonight.

I'll post the link to the stream once it's up.

As a reminder, all you need is to watch the stream and have a phone or browser opened on jackbox.tv to participate.

Well you dodged a bullet there. Imagine all the trouble you would've had if you actually got it.

Anybody check out the Sears liquidation sales? >_>

Yeah the first round is generally pretty bad. In a few weeks it'll probably be better.

It was hilarious how busy the Sears was last weekend.

I heard from some people that prices were actually cheaper in the weeks prior to yesterday(ie. Sears jacked up the prices on most items right before liquidation to give the illusion that there's a deal to be had)

That’s true with all of these. Consumers are so dumb when it comes to these closing sales. I remember when HMV was closing, the discounts started at like 15% (which Generally just takes HMV prices down to normal prices), and the store was fucking PACKED. By the time the discounts reached the 30-50% range, all the good stuff was gone.

People are just blinded by the idea of a closing sale, any logic goes out the window.

Yeah. My guess is someone already in the building is moving into it... at least that is what I would hope the reasoning be.
Nah, someone probably went there early in the morning. Apartment hunting is like limited Nintendo products, 9am is too late.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
Amazon gave me the cold shoulder with FEW, not even any credit or whatever. I'm so cancelling Prime after Mario

Looks like they're temporarily out of stock. Not like I preordered months in advance to avoid such a scenario or anything.

Oh well, I was planning to finish Nier Automata this weekend if anything.
