South Park: The Fractured but Whole |OT| Asses of Fire Emblem

Done with it! I found Stick of Truth the better experience overall, but combat is more fun in this game! Absolutely loved the way the plot played out, and I really like how you progress fairly well along with the story. Not too many sidequests etc. I liked it a lot, and it did make me appreciate the cast of kids even more! Scott Malkinson is one of my favorites now hehe.

I had a crash when fighting
Butter's mech.
I used the time fart glitch and it kinda froze. Everything was still animating but stuck in the fart gas. Had to reload. On PS4.

I had the same sort of thing happen to me during
Craig and Tweeks therapy fight with Mr Mackey. Got to the point where more "Expectations" were supposed to enter the fight and I used the ultimate and the game just stuck with tweek
walking around and nothing happening. Had to reload the most recent save. It's happened a couple of other times before this but never under the same circs. Always in fights though.

Is it just me or are the rewards pretty lame for doing the goals in the game like getting the 40 tweak and Craig drawings? There doesn't seem to be any pay off.

I just finished the game and enjoyed it ALMOST as much as I did Stick of Truth. I don't usually laugh out loud at games but I found
the Jared from Subway boss fight
hilarious....I was not expecting that at all.

I might even replay it so I can get the platinum, which I rarely do, but will probably wait a while so it doesn't feel like a chore.

I disappointed, guys.
I loved the first one, considered it one of my favorite games of the year.

This one...it's fine. The combat is better, the jokes made me laugh...but, I got up to Night 3 and just...quit. I ended up watching the rest of the cutscenes on YouTube (and I'm glad I didn't slog through that last section especially with the worthless ending).

So many bizarre gaming decisions that just slowly dragged the fun out of the game. Fucking buddy system, stupid crafting table, having to sloooowly walk around the town. Why? Just...why?

Really enjoying it so far. I feel like it’s on par with SoT. I’m only about halfway through since I have a newborn it’s hard to get much time to play but I’m really looking forward to finishing it up.

Game was fine, but I agree, not as fun(ny) as SoT. And it was like five hours too long. I was really burned out near the end.

If they do another South Park game, please get out of South Park. After two games of constant walking I'm sick and tired of this town. lol

So I beat
Morgan Freeman and basically completed everything in the game except finding Big Gay Al's cats
When is the first dlc supposed to come?

I wonder, for those who thought it was less funny, do you follow the show?

I feel like Fractured but Whole's comedy relies more on show references than Stick of Truth. Nazi aborted fetuses doesn't need the show to be understood, but getting the humour of Tweek and Craig yaoi, the identity choices, and Mitch Connor, seems like it really needs you to watch key episodes to understand.

I do and also found it to be less funny/crazy than SoT (very enjoyable, still).
Wondering if that may have to do with the novelty factor of the first one?

Oh man,
red wine drunk randy
was hilarious.

I don't remember SoT that well, but I'm having a good time with this. Not too sure how far in I am. Just beat
towlie
but I'm also not sure if that was part of the main story line.

About 9 hours in. I've taken my time. Feels like I have a lot left.

CallGirl, Mysterion and Toolshed/Supercraig are the real MVPs

What are we even talking about here? If it's about allies and abilities/use in general then two out of four isn't bad? Toolshed, Tupperware and Super Craig are some of the least useful allies for gameplay purposes.
Anyway, I thought the first game was better for humor and variety. This game had the better gameplay, but even then it wasn't actually great in that regard either. Really basic.

Glad I played it, but it's not compelling enough to return to for the gameplay, nor short enough to replay as an extended South Park movie.

I think this game is just delightful. Certain aspects of it remind me of old graphic adventure games. Matt, Trey and the devs really do a good job of capturing the feeling of playing a shared imaginary game as a kid. Especially love how so much of the gear is made out of stuff a kid might find laying around like old computer mice and those weird plastic baby syringes. The attention to detail is so impressive.

I love how all the vendor trash loot is super-specific to the location you find it in. It would been so easy to make up a dozen trash items and scatter them all over the world, but instead every place you go has different jokes when you pick up junk off the ground/

I loved the combat, but I couldn't shake the feeling that overworld gameplay was essentially that of a glorified Lego game... Character specific "puzzles", attacking everything in the environment to garner currency, etc.

Still enjoyed it overall, but after a single run through, I don't know that I'll ever go back.

needs to show more effort.
I finished this last night and I thought it was ok. Not Great. I think I definitely liked the first one more.

I did find the combat more engaging. Grid based positioning combined with push/pull skills and quasi flanking bonuses kept me more interested in the combat than the previous. But I definitely wasn't laughing as much and I was surprised by how quickly I burned through it.

Stuff I expected that wasn't in the game:
I was really expecting to leave the town or go to canada or some such so when the game ended I actually had a nagging feeling that I had missed some large side quest or something.

Sections of the map just felt mostly un-used or missing content.

I think part of the problem for me is I don't find the core idea of fart jokes funny and so much of the game revolves around that.

Completed the game, that was such a weird ending @_@ Not entirely sure what they were going for with that stinger lol.

I wish more dungeons were like the one on day/night 4, I remember seeing lots of puzzle elements in the first game.

Can't wait for the future story DLC, really hope it's as good as one full day/night in the main story.

Doesn't seem like this is very active anymore, but I got some issues.

I beat the mission The Chaos Gambit and the next one won't trigger, like it doesn't appear at all, I tried moving around South Park for like an hour and nothing, it just won't appear.

Reload the checkpoint, restarted the game, nothing the next mission won't trigger, I'm stuck, read about it online, others have found the same issue but nobody a solution.

I haven't kept multiple save files, I'd lose 10 hours of progress if I go back, playing on PC, have found many glitches here, close to calling it a mess.

Have you done the other main mission? The one given to you by MC?

Who's MC?

The last story mission I completed is The Chaos Gambit,
where you infiltrate the freedom pals with Butters
. I have no other story missions available, only a few of the collecting sidequets.

I feel exactly the same way. I’m about to head into Night 3 and just underwhelmed by the set pieces and locations. If the game ends with us never leaving South Park I’m going to be sorely disappointed. Why did we wait so long for a game that feels less then the first?

Is it like a phone call, or where do you see him?

Nevermind, apparently you should've goten a phone call from him, but I didn't, so I guess I have to start the game over now.

Load the last checkpoint see if it works?

That's me right now, I went and completed all the side missions I could, closed and restarted the game, tried reloading reveral times and spend about an hour wandering around South Park.

The Invitation mission won't trigger, there's nothing else to do, the game is over.

I guess I can start the game over and just hope this won't happen again, or wait for a patch. I have Stick of Truth on PS3, and that had plenty of issues too, yet I don't remember it getting patched, so I dunno.

This is the only game I've ever played from an Ubisoft studio, so I don't know what to expect.

I finished this game last night. I had a good time. The story and their hot takes were exactly what I was expecting. Some of it was hilarious and other moments were just good enough to keep pushing through. I love how it just played seamlessly as if it was the show. The ending
was unexpected and not amazing but again it was wild enough for me to be like, yeah it's South Park.

With so many of you mentioning the first game being better, it is kind of pushing me to play that one now too. Never got around to it when it launched so I may give that ago later in the year after all these crazy new releases have been completed!
