I thought about the reality of posting digital items and I figured I don't have a lot of people to share this with. I preordered the deluxe edition of Resident Evil 2 Remake and got this awesome theme. I turn off the sound on the console. The sound reminds me of zombies making noises.

That really is a nice theme..the only way to get it is by pre-ordering?

At the moment yes. I believe the preorder themes are the bonuses that aren't sold on the regular store. I could be wrong because I have seen the Devil May Cry HD Collection themes and a lot of other game-related themes. I have one for Secret of Mana, but I can't confirm that that's the one that came with the preorder. I also have a theme for Devil May Cry 5 and Sekiro. The difference is that Sekiro is a Dynamic Theme. The fire on his prosthetic arm is blazing everywhere.
In the preorder for Resident Evil 2, it clearly states that you get a theme after checkout. I honestly believe they're pre-order specific and if they do come out on the store; it will say "Unavailable" or it won't be there at all. I can't confirm this because I have quite a bit of launch day themes and one of the Bloodborne themes I have I got from a website. The white background with the Hunter in the center.

There is a thread about Point and click adventure games here -https://www.neogaf.com/threads/point-click-adventure-thread-2018-this-is-the-year.1460323/ on this thread someone mentioned a soon to be released hardback book on Point and Click adventure games from Bitmap books, I preordered it three months ago and it finally got released and arrived today.

its 470 pages long with interviews and stories from some of the greatest point and click makers from the 90's like Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer to name just two. I also ordered the Special edition I also received a USB drive in the shape of a floppy disk, a grog coaster, magnetic words, and a code wheel.

So first things first and to get it out of the way.

I caved in and got red dead 2 now. I was going to wait and get it cheaper, but it just lined up with me having a clear out creating a lot of trade in credit!

Then we have these.

20181108_220658_zpswxf2hgpo.jpg

Top we have soul calibur 6 (ofcourse).

Then I've been on a ps4 kick recently and picking up stuff I either haven't had chance to play or I've just not known about them.

Uncharted 4, ratchet and clank, rabi-ribi (which is not a weird game... it's a platformer! Honest!)

And of course god of war. The new one.

I do also have spiderman on its way to me too :messenger_beaming:

Got this little thing for my birthday a few days back. I have a small Fallout collection going including the 1:6 power armors. This is easily one of my favorite things in my collection, it lights up when you open the engine bay, and the little fusion core also glows in the dark. It's 1:18 and the quality is quite good.

Nice! The Fallout stuff is so good, it just plays on that golden era.

OmG, that looks amazing!!! Nice!!!!

Its been a busy weekend. My RDR2 collectors box came in (finally) shipping from the Rockstar Warehouse was abit difficult, apparently they dont drop off the package at local post office pickup if you're say at work. Then afterwards as this is a pretty sweet CE, I realized I needed a new home for it. After a trip to Ikea, I picked up a display case I've wanted to grab for a long time. It seems to really suit the Fallout stuff. Also grabbed Tetris Effect.

Bought this one on the internet. My brothers and i played one of these many an hour back in the early 1980's. It became lost in time and tribulations of growing up, but never forgotten. For many years i've wanted to find another one, just how i remembered it. The original box and manual is in very good condition. The main unit is in mint condition to include the graphics/sticker and even the strap. Still runs and sounds great as if it was never used. Welcome home old friend. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Managed to get this at BestBuy on Friday night on a whim, no pre-order it was on the shelf and I took it up to the counter. I'm definitely enjoying it, took a short break from Red Dead this weekend, to change things up abit. Although I'm having fun, it definitely needs some patch work, I've experienced a bunch of pop up and got trapped after I spawned beside an airplane hanger where I could hear the battle going on and see the occasional enemy but I was in an unplayable void at the side of the map. After the first night things improved abit and connectivity has been actually really good, no issues.

Normally I would post pictures of the games, but I'm at work... so I can't so i'll update this later!

I got

Spiderman (finally came through!) - ps4
Diablo 3 - switch
Pokémon let's go eevee - switch
Fifa 19 - switch (on the black Friday deals on amazon, traded in my xbox one version as I know ill play my switch version more!)

2 games I have... but technically not allowed to play until Christmas... maybe sooner if I can talk the other half around..

starlink battle for atlas - switch (with the arwing goodness!)
The world ends with you remix - switch

now both of these games were cheap and I didn't want to miss out of them so my other half got them and now I really want to play them.... :pie_pensive:

How is Tetris? Debating that one but I got a hitch!

It offers more than you'd think it would. I could see not wanting to pay $49.99 CAD to play it flat but in PSVR is a different story, I feel like this is a game you can pick up after not playing for awhile and dive right back in, lots of replay value. I'd recommend grabbing it.

After getting 23 ‘CE-34878-0’ errors within the space of 3.5 hours last night while playing Hitman 2, my PS4 Pro became bricked. Changed the SSHD, couldn’t enter safe mode, power cycled it and left it overnight but no joy.

Luckily GAME is only a hop, skip and a jump away so hopefully this one I got this morning will be more reliable. Gutted I’ve lost some of my progress on Hitman 2 from last night and all my screenshots, but thank god for the remaining Cloud saves.

I dont have VR. I personally don't believe in it on PS sorry. But I did pick uo the game anyway because I love Tetris that much - after your recommendation. Love it. Thabnks!

I'm happy to hear you're enjoying Tetris, out of all the versions of Tetris I've bought over the years Tetris Effect is really the most redefined version I own with endless replay value, a ton of different modes, visually electric and that soundtrack... such a complete package, found the soundtrack on Spotify this morning was listening on my commute into work.

I will say though you are only really getting half the meal deal, PSVR in general right now is red hot with obviously Tetris Effect, the recently released Beat Saber and soon to follow Borderlands 2 redone in VR. I thinks its easy to get why people think its cumbersome, I would challenge you though if you had a chance to actually sit down with a PSVR headset, not at a mall kiosk to demo one but really sit down with it in the comfort of your own home and tell me you're not having fun playing something like Beat Saber or Firewall Zero Hour, or are just completely blown away by the possibilities after playing something like Astrobot.

As a friend of mine said to me who is a super casual gamer, never tried VR, Its really too bad when PSVR games are reviewed they literally look like a PS2/ PS3 game being played with fish eye lense, when you play it though its not what you see in the reviews, it doesnt even feel like you're in your living room anymore. He was blown away after I set him up with a few things to play.

It is your call obviously, I'm just saying, if you liked my last recommendation theres probably never been a better or cheaper time to buy in especially between the Beat Saber/ Borderlands 2 bundle and the Moss/ Astrobot bundle.

wow, that's an impressive Switch collection.

I didn't get anything for Black Friday and to be honest the deals in Canada aren't as good as all the deals they have in the States. I do have some good things on order though, due to the postal strike in Canada its been a game of hurry up and wait.

This finally came yesterday from LimitedRunGames, I forgot how different and mesmerizing Thumper can be only having just a sampling of it on the PSVR demo disc 2.0. Although in VR its completely new and visually just a trip, the concept of this game, the feel to it has a very random Atari 2600 feel. The sounds, the idea behind the visuals, the fact that you're a beetle on a track, fighting a demonic looking face, its very Yars Revenge meets Berserk with a hint of the Tron movies. It basically screams cult classic for anyone whos ever played it, you can't put your finger on what exactly but its special.

Aside from picking up the PSVR itself earlier this year, the discovery of LimitedRunGames for me personally is amazing. Fingers crossed for limited runs for physical copies of Beat Saber and Borderlands 2!

that seems to be the consensus. I hope it goes on sale during the holidays but that is probably ambitious since it just released.

Picked up my copy of Smash Ultimate, I've literally been playing almost non-stop aside to heading to a friends poker game last night, SO good. The Amiibo situation in Canada seems very fucked up as usual. Only seen Ridley out in the wild, I have that pre-ordered and got a pre-order in for the new Inkling Girl, both through BestBuy. No other pre-orders available, no news, EB Games got a re-stock of prior Smash series Amiibos and few Ridley's., no word on where and when for Wolf or Daisy, here we go again.

HAyct8C.jpg

My Ridley Amiibo finally came, just waiting for Inkling Girl in the Smash series and will likely have to import Wolf. Not the biggest deal when you look at the packaging, this was shipped from BestBuy.ca and is the Japanese version! So this tells me Nintendo really screwed the pooch and didn't/ couldn't make enough Amiibo's and needed to take from the Japanese stock to fulfill the North American needs. I feel like they should half the Japanese stock and send it over to North America so there is plenty here and it prevents scalping vs Nintendo leaving money on over stocked shelves in Japan.

Got a new gaming mouse.I had a Razer DeathAdder before and liked it but wanted more buttons and this is on sale for $40.It came recommended by a friend. The associate that helped me looked far and wide for it because , of course, it wasn't where they said it would be so good job to him! I love Micro Center but holy hell they can be unorganized!

Busy weekend of gaming and the last 'new' pickup for 2018. My NES controllers for the Switch arrived, they were definitely overpriced but I am happy to have them, they work and feel just like the traditional NES controllers, only wireless, they feel about the same in weight as the regular NES controller.

Also picked up Katamari Damacy Re-Roll for the Switch, I actually had to travel pretty out away from my usual area to nab one of the last physical copies within the greater area. Kind of a weird release, it came out earlier in the week when the EB Games website suggested a release date of Dec 14, 2018. By the time I figured it all out most of the physical copies were gone, except for one store which was probably an hour and abit away, Katamari Damacy Re-Roll looks pretty cleaned up on the Switch and handles the way you'd expect it too.

December Pick-Ups:messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

AUROS 1080 Ti for 470$ (suck it, NVIDIA!:messenger_squinting_tongue:), complete Bond and Deadpool collection on Blu-Ray and a few other movies, some of which I thought I'll never get cuz оf piss poor availability (in Russia) of not even all that old movies on Blu-Ray. Now I just need AMD to show us their new and upcomming stuff this January so that I could finally upgrade what's left in my current PC closer to June-July.

P.S. Yep, no Smash for Switch cuz of absolutely :messenger_pouting:awful:messenger_pouting: Nintendo Russia and complete unavailability of the Limited Edition:messenger_loudly_crying:

Hit up Boxing Day yesterday (Canadian Black Friday that happens the day after Christmas)

There wasn't too much I wanted to grab, been meaning to pick up Nier Automata for awhile and $19.99 CAD sounded like a good price, Fire Emblem Warriors at $19.99 CAD was tough to pass up on, exclusive to EB Games and both BestBuy & Walmart would not price match even though it was in the flyer, advertised as plain as day, they both pulled the same shit that they needed to call and check they had stock to match it, the guy at BestBuy looked on his phone and checked the website and said there was no stock which maybe there wasn't online but there was in store. I literally felt like it was coming out of their pay cheques the way both cashiers fought it, just waited another hour and went to EB Games to grab it.

Then I saw Operation Warcade in EB Games, I hadn't played it but seen some videos and looked decent, I just had no idea there was a physical release, grabbed the last copy, you know the one the store copy thats already opened, no big deal. Playing that abit last night really took me back to the House of the Dead style shooters in the arcade, it was decent for $29.99 CAD and a rare find at the very least.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas on this thread and got all the gaming goodies they wanted!

My daughter needed a new pc so I thought why not give her my still decent old gaming pc(6700k,1080) and use the money saved to get a new one?
Well Micro Center again comes through with a damn good price on a pre-built(I swear someone is eating butt there to get some of these prices)

2700x with 2080 I think it's Zotac ..
