It's true that many companies are producing cross-gen games but
1. Nobody except Sony ever said "we believe in generations"
2. Xbox execs literally said that they will release cross-gen stuff in first year-two after next-gen is release and people shat on them because of that. But in 2022 whole first-party Xbox lineup (Starfield, Redfall, Forza Motorsport) is next-gen only.
3. It is not a norm for first-party devs to release their games as a cross-gen (that was a reason why people shat on Microsoft for their cross-gen support). There are exceptions of course (God of War II, Breath of the Wild, Forza Horizon 2) but rule of the thumb is that when new console arrives, first party teams migrates to the new console immediately. How many first-party cross gen games were released during X360/PS3 - XOne/PS4 transition?
