It's PR spin at its finest. It's not difficult to outsell something people couldn't buy. They produced more consoles than their competition so congrats on that I guess. Even today XSX is available while PS5 isn't.
LOL, so he shouldn't mention that (the only other next-gen console on the market) at all because Sony cannot manufacture enough consoles? Btw. this is a big assumption on your side, I can see PS5 being available in US shops (Target, Walmart etc. every couple of days), XSX is available
almost at all times now, and XSS is always available. We are also talking about 3 quarters in a row when they outsold PS5.
Tracking higher than Xbox 360 sales isn't a very high hurdle either. Gaming market grew a lot in the last 15 years... Xbox 360 was a long time ago.
This is even more stupid than your quote above. Let's not mention that XS consoles are selling better than our best-selling console in history as it was so long ago and it is of no interest to our shareholders. Would it be better if they would compare it XBO instead? I guess then you would say why they are even comparing it to XBO when we all know that XBO was a mess at launch. You are just a low-quality troll that cannot cope with this news.
There are a couple of facts that people need to accept;
- MS is not disclosing exact units sold of their consoles, tablets, phones etc.
- MS is not disclosing regularly numbers of users of their subscription services Gamepass, Office 365, Azure or even Windows OS
- MS is multi-trillion dollar company
Also, their gaming division had its best year ever in terms of revenue generated.
And for the stock market experts here in NeoGaf;
Microsoft said it would have had more revenue in the quarter were it not for unfavorable foreign-exchange rates and tougher PC and advertising markets.
