hihi all those Steam newcomers :p

Just alt tab out and resume.
I'm not a Steam newcomer, but I just haven't had this issue before. I usually buy all kinds of smaller games on the Steam sales, so having a 20GB Shogun downloading while I want to play is new. I just left the PC on overnight for Mass Effect 2 last year.

Any chance that anyone has an extra copy of Serious Sam 3. I missed the daily deal and GetGames ran out of keys before I could get one.

Also i've asked this before but for £15 what's the general thoughts on sword of the stars II?

Throwing this out there again, hopefully it's a daily deal at the end of the week during the recap.

hey cool, got a extra copy of toki tori to give away, just draw a picture of "Big Bird" in paint to enter, deadline like in a an hour - winner will be chosen then. (ONLY APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE GAME)
I'll try (the Toki Tori bird)

I think the Tomb Raider games were my best buy of the sale. I totally LOVE to play them again on PC. Such great adventure games.

Could any of you folks who've bought Wasteland Angel answer this: Are accelerate and shoot still both mapped to the right trigger in the full version of the game? Also there's a forum post about the ability to remap keys having been patched in. Can you remap gamepad buttons as well?

edit: This post brought to you by joy2key and dumb. I'd forgotten to shut it down after playing Isaac :)

So I really want Empire: Total War but only have 6.29 in my steam wallet. What expansions to that are worth getting with it? Any of the Units?

Forgive me guys for going off topic, but I noticed that today, there is a Left 4 Dead bundle on sale on steam for $7.50.

I want to buy the uncut version for my nephew, (given us Aussies got the shaft), and could have sworn I saw a dedicated thread somewhere here, where people were offering to buy and gift a game to someone once you send them the money.

I searched through 17 pages and for the life of me I couldn't find it. I searched "Steam" and "Paypal" and come up with nothing :(

I don't understand how Isaac is $5 with a normal price. I mean... It's fun but.. it's just a freaking flash game. There's tons of fun flash games that are free.

It's in the OP on the first page :p

Just came back from vacation and started to catch up on all the cheevos. After 23 completed and crafting coal twice, all I have are coupons that are insultingly bad (25% off Konami, really?) and the game "123 Kick It".

Around 10 left to get, hopefully this won't be a complete waste of time.

On the other side, I finally got to play Anomaly: Warzone Earth and Hard Reset, probably my favourite games from this sale so far.

Can't connect to the Steam servers for some reason. I can't login through the internet since I changed my password when the credit card thing happened recently and can't remember what I changed it to. Of course, I could always reset it, but I have to do it through Steam, which won't work because I can't connect to the Steam servers...arrgh! Any ideas?

I have a bigger problem with Team Meat, with all the praise they get from the PC community you would think they would implement better control configuration, seriously mapping the jump button to the space bar in SMB is a no go for most keyboards, it's the least sensitive key on your keyboard. Then we got binding of isaac which does the the polar opposite and gives no pad support for the game, it actually tells you to use in joytokey in the menu.

seriously wth?

To be fair, SMB's key config can be changed, although you have to do it through an ini file. Actually, to be even more fair, that game should be played using a controller.

But your points are still valid.

Isaac only has four way motion, if it had native pad control people would blame the guy for it feeling like shit on a pad, this way the fault is placed elsewhere.

Just because it's coded in Flash doesn't mean it's worth less than five bucks or even that it's only on par with other Flash games...

VVVVVV was coded in Flash, originally.

If it was coded in C++ (which it could have been and should have been, but that's another argument entirely), would you suddenly change what you said to, "It's fun but.. it's just a freaking C++ game. There's tons of fun C++ games that are free."

Already regretting not getting some of the games on sale.

Should've gotten Solar 2 and EYE. A repeat of those will be unlikely but I'm crossing my finngers.

Runs like doggie doo-doo on my system for no good reason, so I'd be overjoyed if it was given the VVVVVV treatment and re-coded. Probably not gonna happen though.

As an Australian I just picked up Shogun 2 steam key from gamersgate for $7.48

Steam wanted about $22 even after 75% off $(90USD)
