CapcomUSA and SCEA are brain dead if they don't add free online multiplayer somehow.

JAPAN and NA aren't the same, change the game to meet the needs and expectations of each market.

MH3P, if it's coming to both JP and US Vitas, could be just that.

Actually, it probably is the PS3 upres'ed version downres'ed back to the Vita.

Then yes, they are brain dead.

Though it wouldn't surprise me if the list was just made based on "what was shown in the conferences". Which explains not only the "untitled" Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Call of Duty games, but the whole MH Portable 3 (instead of Freedom 3) and Final Fantasy X without nay kind of subtitle (since only the title/logo was shown...Square-Enix is probably going to add some "remastered edition" subtitle).

Kinda reminds me of the Mortal Kombat "Vita game".
Game was announced to be coming, but nothing else. Then the rumored name was "Vitality", then a supposedly fake logo appeared online which was blue and even using the MK Mythologies font.

Then, said logo was "remade" by a site; talking about the possibility of it been fake:

Then said "remade logo" appeared at a Sony press conference in Europe:

Now, the game and name are all but nearly confirmed, but is not the first time that random information and unofficial info is used in official press materials.

Wasn't MH3 HD even shown at Vita unveil event?

MH3 HD doesn't exist. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD exists as a PS3 game. It has never been formally announced.

Those MK logos are not the same. The one that appeared at the London Vita event's rings has different lighting effects than the one you said a site made.

Have there been any signs that publishers are going to consider dual packs for PS3/Vita games? Final Fantasy X with transfarring seems like a no brainer to me. They could move a lot of units for say $69.99 or something close to that.

Is there anything in the International version that would warrant this whole "International or bust" attitude? Wasn't the actual FFX international just a Japanese re-release of FFX with all of the additions they made into the localized NA/PAL versions (Dark Aeons and such).

There was an entire series of Vita games dubbed "Coverted Edition" during TGS. Is that the politically correct way of saying "Full priced untouched PSP port" or am I confusing it with something else?

MH3P, if it's coming to both JP and US Vitas, could be just that.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I always assumed the "Coverted Edition" games are just regular PSP games; download via PSN only and contains additional control options.

You can already download MHP3 on Vita in Japan with all these features. So I guess this is just the western release of MHP3. No retail version, download only.

They also tweaked the Sphere Grid slightly, so that the characters start closer to the middle of it versus sticking them on parts that are more suitable for their expected output. It's an option, though, so you can play it like you could originally.

Obviously, you'd want the version with the most content, but it's not an amazing amount of content by any stretch.

I swear portable 3 was on some of Sonys lists at vita reveal time (when they also showed it being played on vita) maybe this has just been copied from that list?

It wasn't. They were just showing off the PSP ISO of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd running on Vita.

Just wait. Monster Hunter will have online multiplayer only if you have the 3G Vita.

The International version has the Advanced Sphere Grid, Dark Aeons, Penance, and a few new armor/weapon abilities. It's the definitive edition of the game. The American version of the game didn't have any of those. If the PS3/Vita version is based on the International version, it'll be the first time that version of the game will be released here.

Tri had online and it flopped in EU/US. It's not online, it's the game mechanics/asthetic that needs to change for it to have a chanc

Didn't the IE have an extra cutscene that set up FFX-2 as well?

One of the releases of International in Japan had a bonus DVD that had the Eternal Calm video with it. Every copy didn't have that though. The copy I imported didn't have that bonus DVD. It didn't even have Japanese text. It only had English text.

I swear I saw it listed on an official Sony list, even if just the once

SCE HK released a list for a Chinese gaming festival they were going to, and it said they had "Monster Hunter 3" or something in the Vita column. I believe they later said that was a mistake.

I don't see how someone in the US would get a little known debunked HK list.

So how long before we get a Type 0 Vita announcement? Probably won't be out until Fall 2012, wait for the user base to get bigger.

Ah, didn't know the NA version didn't have all the additions made to the European version. I was just confused because the European version isn't actually called Final Fantasy X International, I thought by International people meant the Japanese version, like how there's FFXII International (Zodiac Job System) and that there'd be some big additions made to it that I wasn't aware of. I think it's probably kind of a given that it'll be the International version, then.

Lol no

EDIT: well it did do "well" compared to the other releases in the US. Still didn't do so hot tho

It did fairly well. About as well as a hardcore game can do on the Wii.

The regular edition sold 251,896 copies. The set with the Classic Controller sold 102,748.

I am hoping for a eventual RE game for Vita, didn't capcom announce a RE game for PSP a couple years back? Wonder what happened with that..

Is the same logo, brighter and complete (instead of cropped); even has the same lighting/white spots in the same areas. Unless there are better pics out there.

A n even brighter logo would look too similar to the dragon of Mythologies (same game the font was used..unless the Vita game is a remake of Mythologies afterall)...
Msnwo.jpg

But even the crappy pic of that "event" shows the same bright spots and everything; maybe a few tweaks here and there.

Now, some people has pointed out that that "event pic" is fake and even Ed Boon denied such thing as "Vitality" been the name of the game (but he's well known for joking and trolling).

But if it actually was at the event and they even used that logo; even when the creator of MK denied such name; then it kinda goes to my point earlier about using unofficial titles as lists of more games.

Like how Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend has a logo..
xE7Qs.jpg

...but they used the regular logo without subtitle. Unless they couldn't just use that logo.
The list kinda contradicts itself, since apparently the games that the logo appears, not appear listed below (like Rayman, Michael Jackson under Ubisoft); but why Blazblue appears twice (logo and listed), or the two Ridge Racer thing (logo and listed as 'Unbound').

It seems that the list was made up of games that has been announced across difference conferences, rather than one accurate list and confirmation.

Really weird that Capcom hasn't announced anything about Monster Hunter "Portable" on Vita and yet the only thing of it was the game been demoed/emulated on a Vita to show the new controller mapping (and emulation).
In the end, would be cool if it is (Monster Hunter Portable 3 made it to Vita)..and really weird if the MK logo is in fact the Mythologies logo/font. XD

There's no such thing as "Converted Editions"

the vita's PSP emulator allows you to remap the second analog stick. so there would be no need.

Huh. didn't know you guys didn't get dark aeons.
I remember how easy ultima and omega weapons were to kill. was dissapointed. until i accidently ran into a dark aeon. fuck me. i died in 2 hits. :|

That MK logo was indeed (look at 2:38) shown at a London event.
So it seems they did indeed used (at least as a base) that logo... :p

Would be quite lame and sad if that was the final logo afterall. XD

But again, seems that the list is made of many mistakes and nothing is confirmed yet.
