Halo: Reach |OT7| What are They to Say Now?

According to Halo 3, there's 5,651 people online, 20 of which are in 7 on the 7th. Took me six minutes from search start -> game.

Dat lack of playlist consolidation

edit: for shits and giggles

Lone Wolves: 700
Team Slayer: 986
Team Doubles: 216
Team Snipers: 58
MLG: 76
Team SWAT: 48

Rumble Pit: 43
Social Slayer: 1630
Social Skirmish: 136
Action Sack: 6
Multi Team: 264
Team Mythic: 18
Social Big Team: 76

7 on 7th: 38
You find a game faster in Halo 3's Lone Wolves, Team Slayer and Social Slayer playlist than TO in Reach.

We will look at it on an ongoing basis.

Really? Thats great news, hopefully down the line at some point we will get a core selection of playlists, id play H3 much more if it didnt take so long to get a game.

I fear when Halo 4 is out i wont even go back to 3/Reach unless for nostalgia reasons but if something happens before the holiday season ill be all over H3

As long as you realize consolidation with small numbers will lead to more quitting/voting issues.

I will take this moment to link to my attempt to gather consolidation feedback on the Waypoint forums.

For what it's worth though, I was able to play Action Sack just now and play a familiar selection of people three times in a row.

Still waiting for the third game to process at this point - but everyone on my team quit out, so it might be a bit. Got a cool kill out of it though. The people on the other team in the last game were the people on the other team in the Dodgeball game. I almost felt like I interrupted a matchmaking get together or something :lol

7th of the 7th was never going to be a high population playlist. I still find games in the core playlists pretty quickly. Of course getting games as party of more than 2 is near impossible in playlists like Snipes at a high level but rather than consolidation I would just prefer to see a loosening of matchmaking restrictions.

Well, the first thing they could do is remove DLC requirements from everything besides Team Mythic.

Agreed!

Man, I'm dying to play some Halo 3. I used to own the Mythic disc, but I lent out to someone and can't remember who...

I need to make some phone calls. :: cracks knuckles ::

I have some serious work to do today, but tonight I'm going to finish Cryptum. Here's my query: After Cryptum, should I buy Glasslands or Primordium? I haven't heard great things about Glasslands, so my heart, mind and wallet tell me to go with the Bear.

Of course, I could be wrong. Your thoughts?

what a joker, of course I'm handsome like you
Maybe with the help of some fairly oddparents...

Primordium. The beginning is a bit tedious but a bit better than Glasslands.

From what iv heard both are fantastic. Get Promordium first and Glasslands later since one is a direct sequel and the other is more of the universe

I can't believe Hyper is still going on about Plywood. Sheesh.

Haven't seen a man-crush this big since I met

lol. Xand would be mad.

Who says we're getting Halo 4 this year?

^______^
Normally I wouldn’t be this bold, but the new year has me so confident that I guarantee at least one of the following things will happen in 2012: the world will come to an abrupt end, I will complete a multiplayer game without accidentally betraying all my teammates, or Halo 4 will be released, during, around, or semi-near the holidays. While one of those things will undoubtedly take place, I’m not going to tell you which one. I will give you a teeny tiny hint, however: it starts with Halo and ends with four.

You mean Timmy Turner.
lol.

Btw. I got this message today:

Everyone is thinking the same about me, right?

I just felt like saying that I hope Halo 4 has armor permutations based off MC concept art from the early days. It would be cool to be able to see those, or at least some in action.

Matchmaking times in H3 stunk way before Reach ever came out. It was one of my biggest issues with that game. Got so tired of looking at the blue screens with the soldiers on the couch... Which (if I'm not mistaken) was also in H2 so that got really tiring to look at. During Reach's development I was seriously considering suggesting to Bungie that they include some kind of mini game for us in matchmaking just to make the wait bearable.

Armoury 2.0 needs to be epic.

I wish Halo would make the jump to 2 disc games. 1 Campaign 1 Multi.

I wonder how much more costly this is from a logistic stand point, and a development stand point.

You could argue that it would cost LESS for development, because then you don't have to spend time cramming and compressing everything to 8 GBs

Namco has the patent on that type of thing. 'Mini-games' during any type of loading/wait period are their domain iirc.

Fuck Namco.

edit: i remember people were saying this patent ends in a few years. Can't find a source though.

Wait I thought this was just KyleJ joking, how can this be a real patent, what the hell?

Pretty sure FIFA lets you take shots on goal while loading.

Yeah exactly, good point! I love the Fifa loading mini game.
