I used to have that one (I might still--I hope). It came packaged free with three other mini space vehicles that I got at Sears a loooong time ago.

Wow... nostalgia overload. Literally brought a tear to my eye thinking back to my Lego-filled youth. Thanks for posting these!

I plan on upping the ante by building all my sets that I played with as a child. Going through the Cargo Centre (6391) right now. Next will be the Police Station (6384) and after that the Fire Station (6382). I have the Galaxy Commander (6980) but I just realised that it's in another country, although still in my possession and waiting for me if I choose to retrieve it.

I'll put up pics once I'm finished with each set. :)

It took several orders from BrickLink, but I was finally able to assemble the LEGO Rock Band bus. There's just something very cool about having an exact model of something that appears in the game.

I also put together a couple of tiny models that I've wanted to create for ages now. Those who have played the LEGO video games will recognize these little canisters.

All I wanted as a kid was that Galaxy Commander set
and Optimus Prime and GI Joe HQ
. So jealous. Definitely post it if you retrieve and build it....

Thanks again! For all the parents out there, never throw away your kids Lego! I hadn't touched this set in 30 years and put it together last night. So glad my folks boxed this stuff up and forgot about it. Only missing 3 chairs and one railing (the front of the monorail)...had to improvise. I think I have a few more sets I'll take a crack at. Sorry for the terrible iPhone pics....

...and I'm hooked again.
OMG, I had that exact set when I was a kid! Does that ever bring back memories! I just recently got back into LEGO after buying the Queen Anne's Revenge set for my daughter for Christmas. We had a blast putting it together. I've been itching to get more sets ever since. I received a LEGO.com gift card over the weekend for my birthday and I immediately ordered the Millennium Falcon set that I've had my eye on. Can't wait for it to get here in a few days! Also looking forward to the LOTR sets, although they seem kind of generic. So far, the only ones that I'm interested in getting are Helm's Deep and Gandalf Arrives. Hopefully they'll offer a huge Orthanc set in the future.

So I posted this in the beginning of the thread but it was not really populair than AND because tinypic is banned now I just repost my lego collection:

I have A LOT and I mean A LOT of lego.
I collected lego for about 15 years.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE, these where taken in the old room and now I have EVERYTHING in boxes and non on display at the moment.

Any one suggest some sets, I want pieces to build sace ships like the ones on the Homeworld link posted previously.

I actually picked up the V-wing yesterday cause it's fairly cheap and has some cool parts for ships and the like, I don't like the V-wing itself so I'll never be tempted to build it and all the parts can go towards MOCs and whatnot.

I just passed on the Slave 1 at the grocery store on closeout for $55. Am I an idiot? It was the last one left and it's $76 on Amazon. Thinking about running back out for it...

Looking at TRU's Lego Star Wars sale online...with the exception of the Y-Wing their sale prices are still more than MSRP =P
Ya, how do they get away with that? Don't people price match? I went to go look if they had anything on sale, and I think the new X-Wing was like $75 or something, and the TIE was $65. I bought both for $40 each on BnN and Amazon.

When I was in TRU, the only people there were people buying last minute birthday presents for their kids (or for their kids to give to other kids). Even the video games were above MSRP (IE new releases at 65-70 instead of 59.99...).

There were a bunch of parents with little kids looking at Lego when I went. They were there a while too. I know because it was too crowded for me to really browse so I took a walk around the store and came back and the same people were there. Oh well, good to know I don't have to bother checking there.

Go back! I managed to get this for £25 here in the UK when it hit clearance in December. It's a great set, and a really enjoyable build, and some nice engineering for the wings/seat.

I got my kit from TRU, but it was only because there were two different sales going on at the time that brought the price down to like $40 when MSRP is $55 and TRU had it for $65.

You can get lucky and cash in on some excellent sales, but it's few and far between. They do the BOGO 50% sometimes, and that can be worth it if you cash in on two huge sets.

I decided I was an idiot and claimed my bounty. Can't wait to build this Thursday night! I like that it's a little more complex than the X-Wing too.

I saw this for 35$ at Target right after x-mas. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing it. I'm surprised the X-Wing and Tie Fighter get discussed more than this. The set and mini figs are great.

I've had it in my amazon cart for a while hoping it will go on sale. Maybe I should check Target.

Got it at Kroger. They had General Grievous' Starfighter on closeout too but it was only like $3 less than Amazon. I would need a good 50% off to buy that one.

Interesting. In Southern California we don't have those but we have Ralph's which I believe is part of Kroger. I don't know if any of them carry LEGO or Toys though...

I actually took my Slave-1 apart and added it to my pieces bins, I love the mini figs but I've just never been a huge fan of the ship itself. It's one thing when it's flying around in space but the whole sit on it's backside while parked then stand up to fly away thing never did much for me.

Not saying I don't like the ships design at all, just didn't care for the lego version and I am enjoying having the parts for MOC stuff.

I also did this with mine, though I had the first Slave 1 model which was considerably smaller than that one.

So I am on a business trip right now and felt the itch while at Target. Decided to pick up a few small kits to sit here and build because I am bored.

I cannot complain about spending $15 for that.

I just bought these two tiny sets for a couple of euro's last week:

While I know that the changes made by Lego over the years (mostly in complexity and variety of pieces) have, overall, been overwhelmingly positive, there is a wonderful elegance to these two designs that would probably be lost these days.

According to Wikipedia they are. Some Kroger stores around here in Ohio have couches and stuff.

Being new to return to LEGO, I've noticed with every sets I've gotten so far that they LOVE that 1x1 slope piece. They are everywhere. When were those introduced?
