You guys are weak. I have the Wi-Fi edition ordered, watched the GB stream, reading all these posts and nothing is phasing me. I could wait another month if I needed to :)
Half way there. I can deal with waiting an extra week (need to polish off FFXIII-2 and have Tales of the Abyss anyway), but the second that thing's in my hands I won't be able to wait for a screen protector to come in.

Please tell me the blue light on the lower left isn't always on when you're gaming on the Vita. For whatever reason my eyes always get drawn to the extraneous sh*t, like the 3D light on the 3DS. Is there an option to turn this off?

It looks like it will be on all the time, judging by that vid and the Escape Plan vid. Maybe someone with the Vita can confirm this?

Impossible. How can someone want one enough to follow vita news so closely and not want one now when it is clearly available for purchase right now?

Sure the 250 or 300 dollar version is the right choice financially unless you really want little deviants, but surely that temptation must be there.

Easy, we're not rabid Sony/PSP fans to begin with, it's more the fact we like having high-end tech, but are fiscally responsible, and have no use for a 3G version.

I wait months to play new releases, I can easily wait another month to play a Vita (though I wouldn't, just saying)

Saving $100 to wait and NOT get a mediocre pack in and a poop case is a wonderful deterrent to buying early.

I agree. Its just the fact that the option is there makes the wait much harder.

I also refuse to take part in a marketing gimmick of selling a console early at a premium price, which this strategy will inevitably be used again in the future when next gen arrives. And when it happens, I can blame you guys :p

Admittedly I love the idea of getting launch issues sorted out so that all the (relatively) patient people get a smoother experience, but they already put games up a week ago, while accessories like Hori's are stupid and waiting for the primary launch anyway. It's feeling more arbitrary than anything else at this point.

I'd rather have to smell my own shit than this case. No joke.
I think I'd have it sitting out for, like, a month before I use it, preferably with baking soda. I'm less worried about a bad smelling case then my Vita smelling like said case.

I personally wouldn't want the Vita to be any bigger. That might be useful if you have really large hands, but I've found it comfortable to hold so far. The D-pad is amazing.

If this helps keep my fingers off the back touch, it might be worth it. As it is now the Vita is a pain in the ass on any game that has back-touch functionality since holding it the way Sony designed it (with my fingers in the tiny grip-spots) leads my fingers to rest across the entire back of the device. On a game like Fifa, that leads to inadvertent shots being taken.

They're not going to stop with consoles. How much will people pay to get a big game a week early?

That actually happened to me. I sat it in there for a bit, went back to play it, and it had the small. It wasn't strong and it's gone now but isn't touching it again until I've gotten rid of the smell.

I would have given in to that gimmick if not for every single "extra" included being so damn terrible. The only upside I saw was possibly the case, but it turns out Sony filled those with Kaz's farts.

I think Square_triangle has that. He seemed to like it for the triggers

ty. Square_Triangle if you happen to see this post, would you mind sharing your thoughts, particularly on how the triggers feel and how responsive they are?

The complaints about the shoulder buttons are a big turn off tbh. Little things like that bug the hell out of me to the extent of influencing whether or not to buy the damn thing. Just trying to find out if this accessory does a good job of addressing that particular issue because if so, then my purchase is a lock.

Yep. And it's awesome.

Woot, can't wait! But I hope this is true for North America, though:

Would love to play MHP3rd with two sticks, on dat OLED, and online using Adhoc Party for PS3.

So I'm playing Maverick Hunter X on the Vita and I SWEAR the framerate is better. Seems consistent, even in the intro. I remember slowdown when killing the big bee things and falling, and just in general when a lot is going on.

Is this placebo?

Love this system. Still amazed after a full day of playing with it. Can't wait until all the Apps are released.

Anyone try monster hunter on this thing yet? Can you map camera to second analog?

yup - though to be honest, i just stuck with the claw.

Yes you can map the camera to the analog - works well if you want to do it that way. :)

This is a common misconception. Getting it early has its advantages. And it doesn't mean you have to lose out financially, or you have to be a rabid Sony/PSP fan. When PSP was first launched, I imported one of the firsts from Japan. Since I got it early, I had a headstart to create a popular PSP wallpaper site. Also wrote a PSP media sync shareware for Windows. I made some money off these early efforts, and learned some new tech. It also helped me land my current work (Just a little). ^_^ It's all about how you want to use your time and resources.

For Vita, I'm more curious about PS Suite for Vita. For now, I just want to know its limitations. ^_^

You *can* have the cake and eat it too sometimes.

Seriously. This bundle is absolutely not for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm literally as impatient as they come, especially with tech/video games, but I want nothing to do with the FEB. It really takes a botched early "incentive" to make prefer the wait, heh.

damn, glad my FEB case doesnt smell like ass

Me too. After seeing the reports here, I went and smelled my case for while, which was ridiculous. It smells like new plastic and cloth.

Why is everybody complaining about the way the case smells? Did I get the only normal what? The hell does yours actually smell like?

I smelled my FEB case a few times too, after reading posts complaining about bad odor. So far so good, but the case is a little tight. Other than that, not a big deal. It's just a protective case.
