I dunno..I guess roughly speaking for each class....
Always depend on the situation, so you cannot have a set numerical GPM for each.
But as a rule of thumb :
Support : Lowest GPM on the team
Carry : Highest GPM on the team. And by high it means high, not a +20 difference from support.
All the "in-between" roles (like Ganker, Initiator* and such) will greatly vary depending on how your hero is built to approach the game at hand, and what you need most.
*except Tide, that is built like a Support despite being the best initiator in the game with a Blink Dagger.
People are far too sensitive, it's a harmless term.

Regardless of whether or not it is "racist", it is very obviously derived from a racial perspective of farming. If it weren't for the Chinese teams typically being of the farming persuasion - or, to be more accurate, if it was another race or region that was known for their tendency to be of the farming persuasion - "ricing" never would have become a thing. You can't deny this.
However, I'm only speaking objectively. If I were to speak subjectively, I would say, "I don't give a shit. Words is words. Get over it, nerds."
No one has said anything to the contrary with regards to how it's being used here. Or rather how it was asked to be defined.
This guy gets it... kinda. I'd say it goes back further than DotA*. However, that's just splitting hairs as your point is still the same.
*assuming how I first heard it used in WoW came before how it was/is being used in DotA.

but I still want to know more about the origins of "cotton picking". Being internets, I have my strong suspicions...but I'd be happy to be wrong.
Slaves picking cotton in the fields. Picking cotton by hand is painful, difficult work.

Actually that's a good point. I was working under the assumption that DotA was the origin of the term as it is used here. I do not know if it was used that way in WoW first. It wouldn't surprise me.
Either way, I feel pretty safe in saying that the reasons for the word's existence are as I stated.
I honestly don't know. My background of it came from the early days of WoW gold farming. As it was always done by "Chinese farmers". "Farming" was later reserved for doing something like gathering materials and the gold "farming" was changed to "ricing".
It's six of one, half a dozen of the other - either way.

I went 3:3 so far, 2 of the losses were with abandons.
Yesterday's post was basically to say "We're sorry for the downtime and delays, enjoy some art, update coming Thursday."
Player 1 randoms, Riki, ok, not to bad
Player 2 picks QoP, ok.
I pick Tide Hunter, giving us some tankyness
Player 4 picks Sven. Uh, ok, not to bad
Player 5 randoms Brood. Shit.
I'll go top. Brood is coming too, well ok. Huskar Shadow Shamon Top, damn thats not good, I'm just going to stay back and stay in XP range. Brood Suicides, yells at me for not also suiciding. Does it a second time, yells again, goes mid. Both jump on me defending top, I am able to just walk away with 50HP thanks to my passive. QoP leaves, so I simply make it my goal to end the game 0/0/0. Then Huskar jumps me, I ult, and he dies to a tower. Later, he fountain dives. So I end up 1/0/1. Then we lost. The end, I have other games to play.

Man, complexity must have a lot of cash ready to spend lol. Last I heard they picked up a bunch of SC2 players as well.
Makes you wonder how much everything costs.
Although they did mention they regret saying that haha ^_^;

Probably it's Windrunner. You can be both support and a pretty good ganker at the same time. If your team lacks of carrys, you can easily go for semi-carry build.
