Played this thing for about 2 mins the other day ... fell in LOVE with it!

Nice sized screen (I forever hate the 3DS tiny screen ...) and the the gravity gae looks awesome!

Can't wait to get this for cheap some day :]
Have you played SUPER STARDUST DELTA? :)

How did you do that?

I tried copying the Gravity Daze demo from my Japanese account on PS3 to my US account on Vita and that didn't work. I tried copying it while logged into my US account on PS3 and it still didn't work. It said something like "you can only copy content that your account is the owner of."

Can't use the PS3. Have to switch accounts on Vita itself.

So I thought I was always decent at WipEout HD/Fury, but damn, WipEout 2048 is tricky! It could just be me getting used to the Vita's controls, but it also seems like these tracks have way more abrupt turns and stuff in the way. Not a smooth flow to it.

I guess the ultimate test will be when they release the HD/Fury tracks as DLC on Vita...

EDIT: But as usual, the soundtrack and visuals are top notch, so I keep coming back for more!!

Can I just get some confirmation on user accounts/switching for accounts from the SAME region.

I know that to change accounts you have to do a factory reset.

Can anyone just confirm for me that you do NOT need a separate memory card for each account, but that each account will only be able to see content on that card assigned to that user account.

Also can you confirm that there is no game sharing. So even if the accounts are from the same region, digital content will only be playable on the account that it was bought on.

Neither are something I'm interested in in the slightest, but some folks asked me and I wan't 100%.

As soon as I plan to get this on the surgery day, another expensive problem comes up and kicks me in the ass. I'm not letting anything stop my hype train though so screw all that nonsense and just let me play Hot Shots and then The Show.

Murphy's Law is a bitch, but I'm going to make an indie game all about that law and show Murphy what's up. :p

I can't seem to get Killzone Liberation to work. I got it free from the Welcome back program... anyone else having trouble with it?

Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip! doesn't work either. Dammit!

Ok..

1. You can have items from multiple accounts on the same memory card (even if these accounts are from different regions)
2. You can only play purchased content when signed in with the account you purchased it with.
3. To switch accounts, you must restore the Vita to factory settings and go through the initial setup process again.
4. You can play most demos (i.e. Gravity Daze/Rush) from any account, not just the one you downloaded it with.
5. There is no game sharing between accounts, as purchased psn content is locked to the account it was purchased from and only one PSN account can be active on a Vita at a time.

Thank you for the confirmation :)

EDIT:

Can you or anyone else also confirm that saves are also tied to the account that created them. I'm fairly sure they are but since this is not an area which concerns me I've kind of ignored it lol.

EDIT 2:

Would it also not be handy for a "Things you need to do as soon as you take the Vita out of the box" section in the OP? Things like changing the sleep to 5 mins, how to actually get it to update since you can't log in with your own account, etc?

I kinda want a Vita, but not for the Vita games, but for the PSP RPGs I've missed out on over these past few years.

Yea me too- I was putting quite a few in my cart just for fun and hit about 130.00 it alerted me to being over the single purchase allowance so I deleted everything except for:

Legend of Heroes: TitS 19.99
Crimson Gem Saga 29.99
Tactics Ogre 19.99

I still want a couple vita games (lumines- stardust- hot shots golf)

Anyone post pics of CGS pretty please?

That's a long video for what only takes a couple mins. :)

Yeah, I did exactly what he did except I never took the memory card out. And I didn't deactivate the system. I didn't see the point in doing so because the activation is tied to the system ID. It won't be lost just because I switch accounts and format settings.

In other words, when I log back into my Japanese account in the future, it will already be activated from my first time.

so basicaly this is what you did..

1) Sync your trophies with PSN
2) Restore "Factory Settings"
3) Enter the new PSN account info you wish to switch to (or what? )
4) Re-activate your Vita on the PSN

??

I Just want to be sure what you did..

Thank you for the confirmation :)

When I reset my factory settings before switching back to my US psn account after I downloaded the JP gravity daze demo, my valkyria chronicles II PSP saves were still present..

My uncharted saves can be seen from my JP psn account.. I guess they are tied to my console itself and not my PSN account.

On Amazon UK the Wifi Vita is the #2 most preordered item in PC and Videogames. The 8GB memory card (which you get free with it) is #1.

The 3G Vita is only at #36.

I am one of the 3 that ordered the 3G. 3G + 8GB + Rayman + Wipeout 2048 for the same price as the RRP of the Vita itself? brilliant!

Hopefully it means that a shit ton of people are buying a Vita in the UK. Mr SCEE said if they had enough supply they would beat the PSP launch sales and the PSP is still the fastest selling console in the UK.

Question from a PSN store noob:

I have a German, an UK and an US PSN account for demo purposes.

Now I want to get some PSP games I never got around buying. I never have purchased anything from PSN. I can use PSN money cards even without legit address and billing details, yes? I can download PSP games and use them on Vita with another account without problems (I don't care about trophies)? Thing is I want the games cheap and I still have a PSP, but lugging around UMDs for the times I want quick bursts of Patapon would be annoying, since my game "case" only fits three UMDs AND my old PSP on top of that? And no sexy OLED? Nah.

I'll just get UMDs if it's a lot cheaper, though. Especially Valkyria Chronicles which I want to gift my brother for bday.

Something strange happened to my Uncharted save when I switched to my Japanese account. I played and beat Golden Abyss on my American account, switched over to download demos on my Japanese account. Transferred them, and signed back in. All my Uncharted data was gone... Trophies are definitely still intact though.

I'm not mad (and no, I didn't format the memory card). I'm just not entirely sure what happened to it (should've backed it to the PS3 just in case!).

I use Homer Simpson's street address and I have no issues buying games from the US PSN store.

I don't think so. Everything on Vita is linked to your PSN account, you need to buy PSP games with the same account you are going to play it with on Vita. That is my understanding.

As for buying games - my US account is created to an embassy in Washington, D.C. Now that I can buy BestBuy PSN codes online I see no reason to ever buy games in Europe, esp. considering how crazy prices are in Germany.

That is indeed the case. You'll need to activate the account that you've purchased titles with to play them while signed into that account.

i was thinking of doing the same, however, if it works like ps3, retail games and dlc are region locked and i usually but games at amazon.uk or zavvi so that would be an issue.

As I was looking at my trophy list I noticed a lot of games that I played on PS3 and I never earned trophies in them. Is there a way to delete those off the list? Like on an Xbox 360 you can delete games that you never earned achievements in.

Does anybody have the link with the video on how to apply the Hori screen protector? It's in Japanese and I can't find it on Youtube. :/

If you're playing a downloaded game, then yes, because you can only play the game when logged into the correct account.

If you're playing a physical game, you can continue playing on a different account, so the saves are accessible, but you won't earn trophies on the new account.

Not sure what happens when you switch back to the original account, whether the trophies 'catch up' with you.

eg:

- log in with US PSN account.
- play uncharted. Get trophies.
- log in with UK PSN account
- play uncharted. Warning 'you can't earn trophies'
- get 10 headshots (which would normally earn you a trophy). Nothing happens
- log in with US account
- play uncharted. Do some stuff. Do you get your '10 headshots' trophy or is it gone for good?

Just wondering...how do you make game downloads/saves/etc save to the Memory Card?

I downloaded a PSP game and I believe it was downloaded to the built-in storage, as my "32"gb is sill 29/29 GB....

Okay.

Considering that most of my Vita games will probably be physical UK cards, but I'll have a few German ones as well, should I just use my UK account as the main Vita account? Though I think that is the one my brother made and has his ex-GF'S name as his online ID...hm, that wouldn't be good.

Cute anecdote.

To be more precise it was the surprise of the rear touchpad that they really liked. They had soon figured out a way to play Little Deviants that involved all three of them. One of them took charge of the front touchscreen, another adopted the face buttons and camera, leaving the oldest to look after the rear touchpad.

I feel like I may have to just switch to the Sony screen protectors instead of the Hori ones since I don't want to wait a week to get them after launch.

Edit: Hilariously as soon as I type that message, Amazon sends me their daily e-mail this time recommending me the Sony screen protectors.

Ha, adorable

In fact I wish it was more integral to the Vita. I could avoid leaving so many fingerprints on the screen if I was able to launch games and navigate systems menus via the rear screen. I also think it should mirror the front screen by default as well so that, if not being used for specific rear touch integration, you can access menus and functions in game.

I definitely agree with this. Would have been nice.

Anyone in London managed to go over to the Sony Vita "Shop" that opened today? Tempted to stop by after work (It's near the GAME on Oxford Street, for those that know the area)

It's also manage to break the sub-£200 mark in Asda!

The one thing it's still missing is the marketing to push the sales further.

Info already posted 50 pages ago but here a reminder for Berlin/Germany Gafers on the hunt for a good Vita deal.

You have to be shi.....

No memory card.

Nvm then.

Don't fuck this up Sony! I've been torturing myself to go 3DS or PSVita for a week now, I stand firmly behind your handheld. Push it!
