I definitely agree with this. Would have been nice.
So true! At PlayStation Meeting 2011, when they were demonstrating the virtues of the LiveArea user interface on stage, and during it... anyone remembers the yellow-ish circle marks present when they showed certain actions, on the simulated screen? Well, when I first saw that I guessed it was a cursor that appeared when you touched the back (or the front), as an input guidance (a reference) for the user interface. I thought it was pretty cool as a way to navigate the menus without blocking the view on screen.

Later, on the translated version of the presentation, I saw that they explained specifically the marks were a representation of tactile inputs on the touch screen itself...

That's a long video for what only takes a couple mins. :)

Yeah, I did exactly what he did except I never took the memory card out. And I didn't deactivate the system. I didn't see the point in doing so because the activation is tied to the system ID. It won't be lost just because I switch accounts and format settings.

In other words, when I log back into my Japanese account in the future, it will already be activated from my first time.

Wait, you don't need to deactivate the system to switch accounts? Does that mean when I go back to my NA account, all the settings will be saved?

All settings will be erased, but why would you deactivate the account, if you are coming back to it anyway? it's not like you are selling your Vita.

Oh wow, I was going to buy Malicious for PS3, but I think I may wait now - I didn't know it was coming for Vita and it should look gorgeous on the Vita's OLED screen.

It's another confirmation via twitter that Malicious Vita is coming (it wa sannounced soon after that the Vita was revealed).

I'm so confused about the launch titles in Australia. The official list on sites seems to contravene what the PS site says. Dynasty Warriors Next and Lumines aren't listed as launch titles but... are on the playstation website.

Does the Vita store have any content for PlayStation Plus members such as discounted games or freebies? Does a PS+ membership cover Vita as well as PS3? Ive been tempted to sign up.

Copying The Third Birthday to my Vita now. I can't wait to see how it looks on the Vita screen. I hope the right analog stick performs like anticipated.

Any word on possible Yu-Gi-Oh games in the future? I feel like it would fit nicely on the Vita, with touch interface *and* a large screen. It would be cool to see the playing field with a great degree of detail, and manipulate the view with pinch and spread zooming. And if they felt like animating monsters (they don't need to), we'd actually be able to appreciate the efforts. And maybe you could drag from card to card to apply effects. The options are endless! If they can get that working, sign me up.

To those who bought the Sony Dual Pack Screen Protectors,

I was wondering how much must I cut from the screen protector to perfectly protect the rear touch pad, including the "PS Logo" right under the touch pad?

That's fair. Pretty much the big question on my mind too. It will all depend on sales and if the firmware isn't hacked to hell and back.

You mean the account to download the demo will eat 1 out of 2 activations? Then simply deactivate it once you are done downloading and don't plan to come back to it.

I'm not worried as much about the activation as I am about having to redo all my settings once I go back into my NA account. Will I have to re-do my lockscreen/home wallpaper? Will I have to manually turn off the OS music again? Stuff like that.

Yeah, the settings do go back to default. I had to re-do wallpapers as well!

Looking for some advice, I'm currently visiting my sister in the Netherlands and will be in the UK from the 26th on (then going back to Venezuela, where I live)

I'm thinking about getting a vita while I'm here I would have to import it anyway. I'm wondering, if I get a Vita + a game, that means I won't be able to play it on my US PSN account? So should I just get the vita and download games?

Also wondering if there's any good deals over here, I would rather get it at a physical store if possible

So I live in Philadelphia, last night I turned on Near and it told me that there were 20 people within 5 miles of me that had played a Vita. Doesnt that seem like a crazy high amount, especially since the system hasnt even officially launched yet.

The EB near me said they sold out of all 16 units they got in so I wasn't really surprised to see that there were 20 people in my area with a Vita.

At the end of the day on release I had 29 people in my area that had been playing. I've got like 5 or 6 people nearby playing a bunch of import games. It's entirely antecdotal but it's cool to see.

Obviously too early to say that sales are going to be massive or anything, but there are clearly a lot of people who were interested in the FEB.

If you buy a physical copy of a game you can play it on any PSN account you want. Vita games are not region and/or account locked, only digital content is.

So according to the article, voice chat only works if at least one person is on 3G? Two people on wi-fi can't voice chat? That sucks.

That can't be right.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Can you buy Bestbuy stuff without Credit Cards? Paypal or something?

If some demos are not locked to an account, could those demos be synced with a PC via content manager, uploaded to the net (assuming you have access to the demo file on PC), and then loaded onto another Vita via the content manager?

I somehow doubt it but I thought I'd ask anyways.

Edit: If anyone with a gravity daze demo can see if they can locate it in a Content Manager folder on PC that would be great!

I live about 20 minues outside Lancaster PA, and I have about 5 people within 6 miles of me on Near, and when I went to my friend's place closer to the city I found 10 people. I haven't tried it yet in the city, no access point at work.

It's really awesome to see people buying it, I figured I'd be the only one on Near until my buddy got his wifi on Wednesday.

when you got a vita, you have to input your psn account and then the vita is tied to that account.

you can play any retail vita game from any region for your Vita, but keep in mind, dlc and online pass are region restricted. so if you buy PAL games and play it on your US account Vita, then you won't be able to use any online pass of dlc if the game has any.

Most likely not, but you could pay some US gaffer to get you the code if you don't have CC but have Paypal. Other than that I don't know.

If anyone's looking for an alternative place to buy US PSN cards that accepts PayPal, I can recommend www.GameCards.eu - I've been using them for a few years without any problems.

Kind of too soon to hear about any Yugioh news I guess. If anything if there is one coming then we'll hear about it in the summer. Yugioh games usually comes out in the Fall. Yugioh would be freaking sweet on the Vita I agree. The control options isn't necessary, but it would enhance the immersion since it's a card game.

If Target is a mess and I can't get Lumines, HSG, and Uncharted, I think I will just go digital with HSG and Lumines and find Uncharted later on sale. I already ordered Rayman. I will try to get a 16 or 32GB card from Toys R Us and use the $20 credit on a case. Which one is the favorite? I am leaning towards the soft, Sony case that holds the Vita, cards, and cables. Any impressions on this case or others.
