He ran a pretty popular conservative website.

The three big things he was in the news for in the past few years were the James O'Keefe ACORN pimp video, the Shirley Sherrod video which showed her telling a story about not wanting to help white people or something (edited to basically show the opposite of what the story was actually about) and the Anthony Weiner sexting thing.

It's too bad there isn't some easily searchable site to get the gist about things in a couple seconds, but I know making sure your willful lack of knowledge was posted took prominence.

If we're to believe him, and I'm not saying I do, he posted the first video he got (which was some clips), and then shortly thereafter posted the full video and actually defended Sherrod using it instead as a reason to insult Obama. (For not checking the wildly available full video first before firing her.)

He never actually edited the video to the best of my knowledge.

For me, I didn't like him, so I don't give a damn about his death but I don't think it's a good thing considering the family he left behind and I hope the best for them.

Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, his father-in-law Orson Bean said.

I'm something of a moral relativist, but the methods Breitbart and his ilk in the right wing radio, Drudge Report, and Fox News deploy are indisputably dishonest, misleading and immoral.

There's nothing wrong with calling him out or saying that his brand of "journalism" was doing damage to our political discourse.
