"Your rival TOOK DOWN your score on JT2!"

Would love the option of hiding those pop ups. It's annoying when I'm just trying to chill with the game and not compete.

Yeah, something I find really annoying is when I'm trying to see how many credits I have, but can't, because the notifications just keep coming and coming!

Any word about any patches coming? Specifically to disable the hud during game-play.

I hope that's pretty far down on their list of priorities. I get that people want to be able to disable the HUD (or parts of it) - every game should have this option - but there are some far more pressing issues in need of fixing.

How do those of us outside of America get Travis.

Also I would love some Xbox people (mostly people who like race I have a few tricky guys), that spreadsheet seems outdated (some people have already moved on!) if anyone wants to add me on xbox my GT is the same as my GAF name without the ...

Could someone please PM me a Travis Code? My wife has the computer tonight...and I'm still at work. :(

EDIT: Wait WTF....360 only?

Picked this up yesterday and got stuck on the Deadly Descent in Patagonia. Got off work today and gave it a shot.. nailed it on the first try.

I may or may not have practiced in my sleep. Awesome game!

If anyone's having a hard time getting a code that works, I highly recommend asking a family member with a facebook account if they'll get one for you. Make sure to ask them to click on the correct button for either XBOX or PS3.

Yeah there's one or two decent ones, I hadn't gotten there yet. I need to update my list tonight.

How do you get those? Just luck or something else?

Isn't there a Mirror's Edge board somewhere?

Looks like a cross promotion thing that's available in everyone's store for the next couple of days.

When I loaded the page up it gave me an old code too. So I clicked on Share again and then it gave me the choice for PS3 or 360. I clicked on 360 and immediately got a new code that worked.

Ah, I got my code. Thanks for posting this :D

Finally started today and just wasn't feeling it. The armor/health mechanic is hugely disappointing to me and the invisible pits just completely take away the feeling that SSX had in prior games. Instead of going nuts off of everything, I'm paying more attention to not falling into a run-ending pit. Was hoping those comments were overblown, but man, they weren't.

Does that kind of thing get better? Only tolerated the first Deadly Descent and have a feeling it's only going to get worse (first race in Patagonia was when I turned off the game in disappointment).

Has anyone else's Bandwagon badge (for playing in a Global Event with 50,000 or more riders) disappeared? I got it last weekend but I was just going through my badges again and noticed it was gone. Ugh.

Also if anyone wants to feel free to add me on 360, I need some shredding buddies. GT: Sir Newbie.

The World Tour gets more and more difficult as you go through. The final two maps are extremely frustrating.

The good news is once you get through it and start doing explore and local events, the game gets a lot more fun.

I really don't understand this game sometimes.

Case in point, oh hey look at this survival global event. Sounds like fun!

Hmm OK I've already been through the "Wingsuit Required/No Wingsuit" contradiction, a little weird but I understand now what that means.

Guess I'll go with Ty since he's got the pulse goggles.

Wait what's this?

Nope. Gets worse.

Man, I would love to meet the people who designed these courses.

It says no wingsuit and no pulse goggles. If its in the red bar it can't be used.

Ah. Would have been clearer if it said No Pulse Googles then. All I'm asking for is a little consistency.

Yeah, I got thrown off by that little bit of UI crappery too. Should say No prior to each.

Played Bear Claw for the first time. What's the point of making this track Wingsuit Required? Ruins an otherwise OK track to just fly over the damn thing.

Hot tip straight from the devs, through me, to you. (I was chatting with a couple of them a night or two ago, very cool guys.)

A quick way to level up a dude is to use a level 10 dude to collect as many geotags in an event as possible. The amount of credits you get from them scale to your level so your level 10 dude gets more credits than a lower level dude.

Then what you do is, don't finish the event. Just quit out. Geotag earnings are cashed in at the end of an event but the game remembers what you picked up anyway.

Now go finish an event with your lower level dude. All those geotags you got as a level 10 dude will cash in for your lower level dude. Since credits in this game = XP, you should see a big jump.

Did it last night with my level 10 Elise and my level 6 Tane; he jumped up an entire level after doing the above mentioned procedure, just one time.

Also not quite as good as that but still pretty good: you can buy level 10 geotags with a level 10 dude, but then equip them and place them as your lower level dude for lots of credits right up front.
Re-posting this because it really works. After a few geotag hunting rounds in custom global events (no distractions) with my level 10 Tane, then taking my newborn Travis Rice into a single Explore event, I got him from level 1 to level 7. Took 10, 15 minutes.

Final draft of my favorite tracks (generally do not require any special gear and feature a minimum of death pits) for the purpose of chill out runs:

SSX good drops

Rockies:
Whitehorse mtn: Curlies Moustache, JT2
Extinguisher tower: Dagger, Broken tooth

Alaska:
Silverthrone: Pan, unsanctioned (night time)
Foraker: Lock Jaw

Siberia:
Boris: Vapor Trail, Big Show
Kara-Oiuk: critical mass, Don't make me

Himalayas:
Makalu: Serenity
Chomo Lonzo: Bear Claw

Alps:
Vorassay: Hammer, Beyond the fall

Africa:
Meru: Red Light, cork screw

New Zealand:
Mount Wakefield:  Morning Tiger, Bulldog

Patagonia:
Cerro Pallone: black box

Antarctica:
Vinson Massif: Off the Grid, Evil Genius

(Note I do not include lower drop zones if they are part of a bigger run.)

I'm getting a "Like Our Page" image blocking everything. Since I'm not in the US, I can't get the page on Facebook. Is there no other way to get the 360 code?

Well, i pushed like, nothing happens, i see nowhere to get the code, and i am not from US, the source thing only shows a xbox 360 code anyway, and an image is blocking it so or so, this is bullshit !

Dropped 2$ for VPN, got the code to show up, says code has been used or wrong ;( Why do only americans get the awesome stuff ;_;

I can't work out how to grab one of these Travis Rice codes from Facebook. I've liked the SSX page but nothing. Any tips?

(I'm browsing from the UK).

I think that it is pointless, i had to get a US VPN to be able to see that stuff, when i got the code finally for PS 3, it did not work on UK PSN :( Might have just been my code though, maybe someone can verify this ?

I got stuck in a rock and kept spinning, even though my character wasn't moving. There was no way I could escape it, so I couldn't collect the points.

PSN codes are always region-specific, so I don't think anyone is gonna have better luck with it than you did.

So the game gets easier once your character hits level 8 and above. By this time you should rack enough money with Geotags and Global Events to buy the better equipment. This is where the hook comes in. I'm starting to see really awesome boards now that my Elise character is level 9, some boards go over about 350,000! But the stats are improved tremendously and the epic mods are a lot better as well seeing you can equip 2 mods at once. It makes it really easy to win those stupid race events on Explore mode where the CPU is always like 4 seconds ahead of you.

I hate this in terms of the friends aspect though, im still running with pretty crappy gear and since the game doesnt tell you what equipment your friends used I dont know if hes 5 seconds ahead of me because of mods or his board or because he just genuinely really good and is doing the fastest line the best. The demo did it best, everyone was on par with eachother and even though everyone pretty quickly all used the same line there was a variance in scores.

IS there any fix for getting stuck on "Connecting to RiderNet"? I haven't been able to get online tonight.

Anyone??? I still can't connect this morning. I push start at the splash screen, it goes through saving and loading, and then hangs on Connecting to Ridernet.
