Fire Emblem Awakening [3DS] coming to Europe in 2012

I think he's not aware of the guy in the mask.

That said, if they confirm his identity right in a magazine while he's wearing a mask, I'm now starting to suspect he's not really Marth. No point in hiding his face if they're just going to confirm it in a magazine.

I'd guess he's hiding his identity from the other characters, not as big plot twist the player didn't see coming.

Oh, thank God. I thought the main character with the blue hair was revealed to be Marth, which would be dumb since he doesn't look like Marth at all.

So I'm not crazy? I'm not the only one who thought that was marth?

If NOA bring the bundle to america, I'm going to do whatever it takes to get it.

It's coming out here.

STOP FUCKING SAYING ITS NOT

I realize a lot of people are insanely confident, but I'm going to remain skeptical until it's announced. NoA hasn't really given me a reason to think otherwise. I'll laugh if someone like Atlus or Aksys ends up picking up after XSEED and Last Story.

I hope the new Mario game comes out here. It might not!

Well, just considering that the past few FE games (except that other one for DS) have come here so far, and FE has its presence now here ever since Melee and Brawl, I think there's a pretty good chance that it'll come here.

Especially since 3DS is hurting for more games.

bubu-bu-buhb-but what about Xenoblade The Last Story Pandora's Tower??

Neither of the games you marked out are coming entirely on behalf of Nintendo, both have other companies involved (GameStop and XSEED respectively). The fact Nintendo needed outside assistance to release these games doesn't do much to improve my opinion on Nintendo's awful localization record, especially recently (for the most part, I'm glad they're willing to work with other companies to get games out, and if that has to happen here then I'm all for it).

Anyway, I guess I'm done here until NoA announces it one way or another. I hope the rest of you are right and NoA is just slow for whatever reason. Maybe they're just embarrassingly far behind and don't realize that some of us North Americans actually know this game exists thanks to the magic of the Internet. So they plan to surprise us with a brand new Fire Emblem game, who would have guessed that was coming?

Gamestop is publishing Xenoblade?

NoA is waiting for E3.

NEWSFLASH: New Super Mario Bros. Wii didn't come to the U.S. only due to Nintendo. It came due to Wal-Mart, Target, GameStop, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.!!!!111!!!

It's a Gamestop exclusive.

And Nintendo.com exclusive. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was a GameStop exclusive, too, I think (only ever found it there when it was first released). Doesn't mean it was GameStop that brought it over instead of Capcom. *shakes head*

Edit:
Reasons to believe FE3DS is coming to U.S.:

* First DLC game from Nintendo, so low(er) sales isn't a reason to avoid it
* Early in generation
* Not a re-make
* FE:SS was an Ambassador game for ~1m U.S. consumers, so brand awareness isn't just based on a cameo in Smash Brothers (and the second GBA one was, and it still came over)
* It's coming out in Europe, so an English-y translation is already mostly made

Reasons to not believe FE3DS is coming to the U.S.:

* Paranoia

Based on these responses, Paranoia is winning. :lol

You forgot this reason: Potentially connects to a story that we never got. There is no doubt this is related to the first 3 games. How much of the plot do you need to know to get the full experience isn't known.

FE7 was tied to FE6. It wouldn't be totally unprecedented if we didn't get the full story.

By that token, Nintendo apparently did not bother to release Blazing Sword, which is a direct prequel to the Sealed Sword.

To be fair, Europe didn't get that game either. So as far as missing a connecting chapter, we'd be in the same boat.

Also is it just me or is there something wrong with that girls thigh area? It's like she's missing a part of her body...

True. I'm just saying it's a possible strike against it, but who knows.

As for the art, you're right. She does look weird now that you mention it.

Except that FE7 was a prequel and gives full closure to the story (ignoring the Zephiel epilogue the US version has).

And this is bad for Awakening's chances of release because....? For all everyone knows, this is an entirely new game set on a new environment with a new cast of characters. We don't even know what role Marth plays, if it is even the same Marth.

I'm saying the two situations aren't comparable. FE7 was developed with the Western audience in mind and is a prequel to boot where no prior knowledge is required. FE13 could very well be 'Westernized', but if it links to FE12 in some way, then chances are people may get confused. Then again, everyone knows who Marth is.

FE7 links to FE6 in significant ways, did people get confused enough to not buy the game?

The biggest problem with your argument is that you're making a bunch of assumptions about FE13, which if untrue would undo your entire stance.

As I'm playing Sacred Stones right now, I hope it's better than the last two turds (Radiant Dawn and Shadow Dragon) released here. Yes Shadow Dragon was a remake, but the game was very primitive.

There's a difference between a prequel and a sequel, assuming the Marth rumour is true. One requires prior knowledge. The other doesn't because it's a prequel. This isn't rocket science.

And again, how do we know it's a sequel? Do we know anything about FE13 in relation to the Akanea games? If you have any news that you'd like to share, then please do so.

Presumably manly spirit clashing against manly swords doing manly poses. Or just spam A.

The picture for spamming A in fire emblems case would more likely be a picture of inadvertently sending one of your units to their death in a fight they can't win, well for me at least, i'm sure i've done that at least once.
