"It seems from the preview article that the game will take – and twist – plenty of elements from traditional JRPGs. There will, for example, be five classes to select from: Fighter, Mage, Thief, Cleric and... Jew. "The Jew is going to be our paladin/monk type character," designer Matt MacLean told the magazine."

SMH its going to be crazy and may offend people :|

the chances on this being on WiiU is pretty slim to none but damn my uPad would love some humor

They should make it Anne Frank just for shits and giggles.

I expect them to announce downloadable Gamecube titles.

Agreed. They'll be $12 each and SSBM will be available at launch, I think. I believe their VC prices will be slightly retooled as well.

NES- $4
Megadrive- $4
SNES- $6
Genesis- $6
N64- $8
GCN- $12

That's third party.

There's some real N64 controllers still on ebay, but it's next to impossible to find them new. My transparent blue controller was from Japan, and was in damn near mind condition. It legitimately felt weird when I got my hands on a N64 analog stick that wasn't flimsy as fuck.

I don't plan on playing Mario Party with that controller any time soon, lol.

That's the problem I have. And to be more specific now that I think about it, because of that they won't calibrate correctly. They look fine, but once the game is on things move in the direction the controller is off at. I still have my original plus three 3rd party controllers. My Hybrid Heaven (which needs a sequel IMO) has been neglected for too long. :(

Looking at THQs upcoming published games I did not know Devil's Third was rumored for WiiU based on the Darksiders 2 engine that is run on hmmmm

I want Saint's Row the Fourth on WiiU

I was thinking around $14.99 for the greatest hits on GCN, and $12 for the rest.

And throw in Dreamcast on the list too. Cause why not. :p

Wow read through almost all posts 19 pages I can finally post some thoughts lol :p

I loved the N64 design one of my favs :)

I hope they do resign the Wii U also, agreed it looks like a Wii dev kit :p

E3 cannot get here soon enough

EPIC HYPE!!

Keep laughing, funny man.

:(

Haha. You know as well as I do that's subconsciously the reason why people find problems with it. If it had been 720p with multi-touch, people would still find problems with it even if they tried to say it's convoluted and not practical for gaming.

I can easily see Nintendo really upsetting everyone with pricing. Nothing will ever be cheap enough.

Good to have confirmation that Nintendo is actively adjusting the specs to make sure Wii U can run UE4. Was worried a bit with the recent Epic talk of pushing hardware manufacturers to go to the limit that UE4 would be beyond Wii U and affect ports. Now, that concern is alleviated. Nintendo wants to make sure there are no longer any technical barriers to ports on the system.

With the 3DS as an example, they're probably going to the third-parties themselves to find out what else they can do to make them more comfortable porting to Wii U. Good stuff. :)

Devil's Third was one of the first games ever mentioned/rumored for Wii U
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/09/19/devils_third_3d/

and I've mentioned it and shared it before, but I have a running list of pretty much every credible/sourceable rumor surrounding the Wii U (and maybe 3DS).

Here's a question: Will they let us transfer our virtual console games from Wii over to Wii U?

I say no. And they'll slowly roll out the NES, SNES and N64 titles all over again...

But if you bought any NES games on 3DS, the accounts will be linked and you will be able to transfer them over.

Just my prediction =)

I'm hoping too that since they're moving to an account-based system there's some way of transferring past purchases to your account.

I think it may be easy with the 3DS, just update the 3DS to use the account system and auto-include any previously purchased games from the eshop. should work, right?

Hopefully there'll be some way to do it with the wii as well. I'm just *not* going to buy these games AGAIN, but I would like to have them on the wii u.

Edit: wow, eerily beaten

I wasn't expecting a DSiWare->3DS transfer function, but they pulled it off.

If they can do that, surely a Wii->Wii U solution is plausible.

I wont be surprised if their prices hit $20 for GCN.

They will.

I'm thinking to coincide with the WiiU launch, Nintendo will actually launch the Nintendo Network/eShop website where you can redownload games across all platforms with only one account.

Either that or you'll be able to connect your Wii to the WiiU and transfer data.

15 would be more of a sweet spot....but i'd spare 20 bucks for melee with online XD

Also, I realize this isn't going to happen but I'd really love for Nintendo to allow purchases made via the virtual channel to be accessed on both handheld and console. Know what would be a nice gift to the Ambassadors and a reason to jump on board day one for the Wii U? Allow us to have access to the free games on the Wii U as well as the 3DS.

baahahahahaha

You guys are getting ahead of yourselves with this Melee talk... we won't even be able to play the game until they release a controller with analog triggers.

Oh yeah, I predict they reveal a classic controller pro + with analog triggers at E3.
