We should have that soon and when we do we really need a new thread when that happens as well.

Well I think I understand where some people were coming from- They wanted an new game announcement, and thats fair enough. But others were simply taking huge digs at the Halo franchise like they had a personal vendetta, others saying that Halo 4 will never compare to (insert great looking ps3 exclusive) etc. GI never said it was a new game, just that graphically it looked fantastic, and while we have seen much of the game I think it is a fair assessment. Halo is a big franchise, and this is Halo 4's first true information blowout, so I think the hype was fair. So no, not all post were trolling, but some definitely were.
The fact that you set yourself up for unreasonable expectations is your own fault. Nobody else is to blame but yourself. The fact that it wasn’t what you wanted, doesn’t mean it gives you free reign to ruin it for somebody who did get what they want. It is terrible and petty to deny somebody else it.
I came to the conclusion early on, because you said that the only person that was trolling said “people still play Halo”. Everybody else had valid criticism. That pretty much is a broad spectrum.

If someone being disappointed is ruining a thread for another then they probably have the mentality that they should be able to like and be excited for their game in peace, no negativity allowed.
I'm not talking about the criticism, how can you come to the conclusion I am calling all Halo fans childish if I've said a lot and not all. If I'm dodging something tell me.

No disrespect to Bungie but I really think them leaving MS to persue other interests is the best thing to happen to Halo in a while.
I think had this been a Bungie Halo I'd be thinking 'same old same old', but I'm really excited to see another dev work on the franchise.

Yeah Bungie leaving Halo was great for 2 reasons. We get a new passionate team to continue Halo and we get a new Bungie game too

Who said no negativity was allowed? First off, being disappointed that the cover wasn't something you wanted is fine. Nobody is going to go in on that, but being petty that it should not have been Halo 4 is just wrong. That is just shitting up the thread for everyone, including those with valid complaints about the games.

From what we know from the fired contractor its a FPS and MMO like. Though due to the several factions Bungie has on their shirts it sounds like its going to be a persistent online game rather than a real MMO.

I feel I have made a valid complaint and it feels like I'm repeating myself. You keep also trying to define things unneccesarily, calling out people and avoiding crucial things I have said earlier.

I always thought the people disappointed in the reveal were talking about themselves, not what they want to take away from Halo fans.
I've felt the same way for most of the thread.
That's why I said earlier, people being disappointed at the cover and stating that are not wrong. The voiced their opinion and moved on. The posts complain that the cover is Halo 4 is just ugh.

Chief, cortana, spaceship, eery atmosphere of danger and resignation.
Chief looks great and Cirtana modelled after latina stripper.
My mjolnir is ready for a serious halo.
Hope the ennemies are fun to fight.
Civies are covered and there will probably be a selection of sentinels to fight.
Curious if there will be infected forerunners or we will fight smart forerunners.
Awesomeness of fighting motivated prometheans is beyond excite.
There id potential to offer something groundbreaking.
Imagine ennemies that retreat or look for new weopons or call reinforcements or airstrikes...

I think I may be seeing things, but if you look to the left of Cortanas tits, where the light is shining, it looks like there may be some flood spores. Dammit, I hope they dont pull some BS saying that a lone spore stowed away on the ship....

Playing Halo Anniversary made me pretty depressed since it made me realise that, outside of Crysis, not only have modern FPSs failed to progress beyond the ground-work laid by this game, but have actually regressed backwards, becoming more reliant on scripted set-pieces than any creative drive in the gameplay design.
The only shooters that seem to have bucked this dull design are, like I said, Crysis, and games like Serious Sam 3, which are based on even older shooters like Doom and Quake.
Here's hoping Halo 4 gives the FPS genre a good ol' shaking up.

Ohh boy, I have news for you.
Yes I remember, that trailer is exactly the reason why I wrote that in my post. Metal shader in Bungie engine does not look good. I don't know if thats the shader or lighting that hits it, but it looks wrong. 343i is more in line with say CE3.

Thats what I want to see to. I want a bit more mature enemies, bit less pink and beefier sound. 2 out of 3 for now...
