I'm in a guild, they were running the new Op (I dont raid on Saturdays). I was just trying to get more Columni for my Sorc to be able to swap out my BH.
The point of my complaint was twofold: the lack of a LFG tool which is in every MMO for the last 5 years is pretty sad...worse the fact that there is no Global LFG channel which should be easy as hell to implement so people are not stuck with their thumb up their a$$es at the Fleet.
I'm starting to think the Hero engine and it'sinstancing of everything does not allow for global channels
I'm legacy level 22, where do I get the belt/bracers?
Same thing happened to me, but when I changed areas it stopped counting.
I figure the augments will be more useful for me though, as they're constant/passive. The PvE Jugg Tank set bonus is especially rubbish, would take augments over those any day.
There's vendors in Dromund Kaas/Coruscant where you can buy them from.

They are meant for your more well off alts to get and send to your lowbies. You can also earn some with space come as well as daily com rewards. Speeds up lvling new alts along with the presence buffs you earn with legacy unlocks.

Whats with the Rakghoul outbreak on Tatooine. Folks were talking about it my GF went and theres stuff going on, but dont really understand. If this some kind of random event thing or something to do with that pet?

Yea lot of the vendors have the vaccine for sale since 1.2 but it seems this event just started, a ship crashed on Tat spreading the plague and when you find the ship it opens a daily area quest or such
Does anyone know if expired accounts get the free play time? It says it goes into effect on the 22nd. My account expires a few days earlier, so would i still get the play time?

Yup, no automated LFD tools certainly haven't helped the community on my server. The sooner they get cross server in, the better off the game will be in the long term.

The new Tat Rakghoul plague event should run for a while seeing that you need 80+ dna samples to get the highest rewards. Rewards include random infected companion skins, high end green/black crystals, and a variant of the mini rakghoul pet. You can also by doing all the quests get the quarantine trooper boots (same that you see the new npc wearing on fleet), so I assume that this event will continue and move to different planets possibly which will likely reward the rest of the quarantine suit.
Cross server wont happen for a long time from what they have said. They are doing cross server pvp soon, but the LFD/LFG tools are only going to be for the same server.

It wouldn't suprise me if they do a 180 on this, most servers are in really bad shape.
Did the new event quests and found them enjoyable. Will do it enough to get the pet, but not interested in the crystal. For one, I find the non-solid colors to be fugly. But the bigger issue is that they're tied to stats. If crystals were collectibles like pets or mounts and easy to change on your weapon, they'd be a lot more fun to collect.
On an unrelated note, love that you can load UI between characters and have changes apply to all of them!

They already said that server transfers for the Austrailian players will begin soon after 1.2, and then there will be transfers for everyone else after that. I agree that a cross-server LFD tool should be implemented either way, though.

Just started doing the new event. This is exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping they'd do. It was also very smart to have all the mobs at a low level (27) but then have stuff spawn at your level when you attack. Really nice to see Imps and Pubs running around the same area and the general mayhem.
Plus I LOVE that you can get exclusive rewards from the event. Well, I assume the are since they are tied to the theme.

Yes, they got plagued and fleet passed home (bypassing the containment troopers on Tatooine).
I find this confusing, it's as if every argument that they make with regards to community magically doesn't apply when it's PvP.
They're going to have to implement cross server LFG (and LFR, this is now a required thing from this point forward) or they will face retention issues. My account is active through August but I've still cancelled with this being the reason why and the one thing they can do that guarantees me re upping.
Yep, they not only need to do it, but they can't really put it off past 1.4. It was bad enough that they launched without single server LFG, and population issues are only going to get worse come MoP.
Finish the event stuff, really enjoyed it. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

The cost of the stuff, the event will go on for several days probably, probably a week or two.
Since it ties into the whole rak story line going on I would imagine them also doing it on other planets too especially since one of the rewards is a piece of the social hazmat armor.... guess rest might be available in future related events?
For me it was boots. Maybe the item is random?

We had 2 instances of Tattooine going tonight. 80 in our instance and I don't know how many in the other. That's on the Republic side. Got a group of 13 people together and we killed all the world bosses. Now I need to drive around Tattooine looking for all the pieces of the crash to get my pet and I still need infect 2 people to get all the codex entries. It was a lot of fun, good job BW. I can't wait for more events like this.
yeah day 2 of complete failure trying to get a FP going. My guild has a min requirement of 4 Columni (set pieces) for a new toon to raid and I can't get a freaking group to run anything

I reckon its going to go on for a few weeks, its going to spread to other planets like Dromund kass and stuff.
Cool event tho, I got mega freaked out when I heard the random announcement while using the GTN console, hope they do more stuff like this going forward.
I've read the green black crystal has a weird electrical effect, also the companion kits are bind on legacy and you can get customisations for companions you don't even have (some guy said he got a smuggler companion pack when he was imp agent)
It is fun, and you are right - a lot of people are clueless as to what is happening around them. I have on multiple occasions just solo capped a point right in front of people fighting around me trying to get kills.
