Years ago I complained that gaming companies didn't make games that were as good as the retro games I played as a kid. So, RetroGamer. and 42, because that's the answer to everything.

"ApolloJoe" was taken so I used an "h" instead (made a AIM name "JinJoh" before) 'cause I watched Jin-roh not to long ago when I made it.

I was like 11 and drunk when I made it. Also, since the only time I really post is when drunk; my username is the consequence of reading the filth I commit to text.

My last name is Mulligan.

Within the first five minutes of switching to public school for 5th grade, I was dubbed Mully for short. Only my close friends call me by my first name. Everyone else calls me Mully. Even my bosses.

MasterShotgun

Like the Master Sword, but instead of a sword, it's a shotgun.

Feels weird to use in a lot of shooting games though, since I tend to favor automatic weapons.

Nah, around the time I was signing up here I read something about how the term is Hindi for someone who distributes stolen cable TV services to others. It was just a stupid word, it wasn't meant to be representative of the band(although I was aware of them at the time I picked the name).

I go by other names in other places, but I don't feel like revealing that here.

When I was 7 I wanted a cool name so I thought really hard about it and came up with "aeroscythe". I used it for a bunch of things but then when I tried to make my own hotmail account aeroscythe was taken. I settled for the lesser Earthstrike. However, over time I grew accustomed to it and it became the standardized name I use for everything, save for my SC2 account which I named "thinkhard" because I wanted a cocky clever name that would make my opponents feel like crap when I beat them.

That's pretty funny. I remember thinking so hard trying to make a cool username. I never got close to aeroscythe, let alone EarthStrike.

I watched that metroid commercial last year, "past is prologue". Thought it sounded cool so I picked the name when I signed up here. Still surprised that no one actually had the screen name. I was even lucky enough to snag the gamer tag on xboxlive.

Hawkian

The Cryptarch's Bane
Since I last explained it in 2010 apparently (holy shit), here's a repost:
On July 4th, 1987, after the fireworks finished, my mom went into labor. Begging my dad to drive to the nearest hospital five miles away. My father, always knowing best, reassured her with obstinate resolve that we could get to our regular hospital in Miami, 30 miles away, no problem.

We almost made it.

The all-american classic that became my delivery room was a Buick Skyhawk.

Fine machine. They stopped making them in 1989- that is to say, well before I had any conception of what it meant to me. Anyway, whenever I actually was told this story, it was early enough in my life that it began a longtime fascination with hawks and all birds of prey in general.

My favorite is the Red-tailed Hawk, that's

TwKum.png

^that one

They are remarkable creatures. One of the only other species to demonstrate what we conceive of as "love." They're typically monogamous and may stay with their mates for their entire lives, sometimes fighting and even dying to protect one another. They are the best hunters for falconry, as well. Basically friendly (as far as birds that can pretty much kill you if they feel like it go), and diving, they can hit 130mph, a speed exceeded only by their also totally awesome relative the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest animal on earth.

Anyway... that's the story of how I was born.

Er. And my username.

Tada!

I live near Mt Fuji and my life was turned upside down. Also the avatar is named Fujisawa from an anime I really liked when I was a kid. The spelling of my username is intentional as it was used with another username that didn't allow spaces. :3

Xbox-live did not have other options I wanted, so just made a lame adaption of my first choice by adding extra useless letter. Been using it ever since due to lack of ideas for a better one.

Now I'm actually pretty happy with it, as this username seems to fit both male and female characters i.e. I like it because of it's genderneutralness.

Kiefer Sutherland is one of my favourite actors (yes yes, 24 might have something to do with this) and I'm named Fernando, so I'm sporting that first name because I liked the sound of it. Rojas is one of my last names and I was thinking about KieferRed or something, but heard Crimson and while it's not the same color, I liked the sound of it better.

So there.

Darkmakaimura

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Dark Makaimura

"Dark" speaks for itself.

"Makaimura" means "Hell Village" or "Demon Village".

It's based off the Ghosts N' Goblins/Ghouls N' Ghosts/Demon's Quest/Demon's Crest games, which are called Dai Makaimura in Japan. It's my favorite old school game series along with Castlevania.

My father travelled through Africa in the 70s and found out that jambo means hello in Swahili. When he came back he used "jambo" for things like computer passwords and the code at our local video rental store.

I got it from there.
