FIGH-NALLY THE FRANK HAS COME BACK

TO BULL-ETIN

I always thought of Frankie as
477442-goldust_large.jpg

Pffft. There can be only one alternate universe Frankie.

He just has a certain style to him, as depicted in this touching moment:

Mary MacGregor: Robert, there is more. I am carrying a child and I do not know who is the father.
Robert Roy MacGregor: Ach, Mary...
Mary MacGregor: I could not kill it, husband.
Robert Roy MacGregor: It's not the child that needs killing.

Its that priority of focus that I appreciate in my franchise development directors, and so should you.

*vomits*

Well, that could have been worse. Maybe for a freaking comp sci final we could have used... Computers. That would have been nice to not take a few minutes erasing my entire code because I read it as an interface and not an abstract.

I hate the fact they make you write code for exams on paper. I don't mind finding errors, explaining code, or drawing UMLs, etc, but writing code on paper just annoys me.

If fucking stupid.

Not only does it feel wrong, it gets complicated to make sure there aren't any of those minor errors like a missing ; or an incorrect parentheses somewhere

Something my teachers would use to determine my score.

Interesting. All my exams have accepted good psuedo-code.

I'm usually pretty good with semi-colons, when I code they are kind of autonomous, and I often use them when I shouldn't, out of habit, like this:
Code:
$(this).doSomething();
[INDENT].doSomethingElse();[/INDENT]
I don't mind writing psuedocode on paper, but it is quite often hard to navigate code on paper, when you are used to using VIM, N++, or IDEs.

I don't mind it. However, I often use pens so that sucks

It's true mang

About coding, of course it's better on a computer, most of the software has that adorable auto-complete feature. Like, automatically closing parentheses or automatically calling up a method or class. I'm lazy so I love that

I don't even care if this weekly bulletin has any new information, I'm just so super excited that Frankie is writing it!
Nostalgia for teh wins.

Taste the happy!

On that note, you may encounter some rather brutal squads in the current Limited iteration (the NEP game types); that was not by design. I have likewise communicated some recommended fixes to the Cartographers.
At least for now it's actually difficult to stay alive in the Arcadefight version. That much I can appreciate, and the different waves are a godsend. However, the non-removal of 2x Score Attack in Doubles and not having the new gametypes as the first options is really poor management and implementation. I had to quit out of too many games last night because my asshole 'partner' decided at the last fucking second to choose the first option, which is always short-ass, pointless 2x Score Attack. argh.

(being at work makes me cranky-post)

The good news is Frankie's doing the update today, I get to see The Avengers this weekend, and it's the midway point of a so far shitty workweek. yay!!

Are the ammo crates in FF baked into their current locations or have some of them been moved since launch? I think if we (343) had the option of moving these around a bit, it could drastically change the way these maps play. Too much ability to fire from cover, re-supply, and re-engage. Having to move out to different locations for ammo would be nice to switch things up a bit. I just didn't know if they could be moved.

I find writing code is fine in exams, at least with sensible lecturers who are looking for something between fully syntactically correct code and psuedo code, where they don't mind if you're missing a ; or } (as long as indentation makes the structure clear).

Sucky part is, my teachers did care about missing ; or }

And my ocd makes it impossible for me to code without that beautiful, wonderful indentation. So pretty

Pretty sure they're baked in to their locations, with the option only to either turn them on or off. The thing to do would have been give options to have the crates offer either unlimited ammo or a finite supply a la ODST. It would have been nice to be able to tailor what the weapon drops are, and offer the option of AA's along with the regular weapons. Ah, what could have been...

Should have a shot, but there is some stiff competition.

Assassin's Creed 3
Bioshock Infinite
Max Payne 3
Far Cry 3
Resident Evil 6

Yea, H4 is still in early development, so theres a lot of time for improvement. I don't think it's unreasonable to say Halo 4 has the potential to have the best graphics of 2012.
