Good, good. I'll add it to the OP.

Spirit Tracks is really good and a ton of fun. I've put in almost 30 hours and I'm still not finished. I'm just running around doing side missions and opening up new tracks. Great game and the flute has never really been a problem for me and neither has all the traveling.
One positive note is that Club Nintendo is giving away Snowpack Park (WiiWare) right now for 150 coins. Definitely worth it. It's kind of cute and weird and random and aimless. I think if you like Penguins and/or Minigames and/or Animal Crossing you'll like it.
This might be the best giveaway since the first one. 2 of the games are absolute classics and I submit that 3D Urban Champion is way more fun then it has any right to be.
Anyone get Bird Mania 3d yet? I'm thinking about getting it as a time waster. Maybe I'll base my decision to purchase it based on what gaf thinks!
So, yeah.
The day has come.

what type of ds are you using?
Balloon Kid is terrible.
Yes! Yes, it is! Thank you for that.
I remember saying that in a previous thread and no one agreed with me. I was flabbergasted.
It's horrible.
That really annoys the hell out of me, they can do it for Wiiware why can't they do the same thing for DSiWare. To make matters worse if I move a DSiWare game to the SD card and then delete it from the 3DS I loose any save data I have for it.AmeoBattle looks interesting but i'd have to delete a DSiWare game since they have that silly thing where DSiWare can't save to the SD card.

Oh really, I went to move some games over to my SD card this morning and it came up with a message about losing saved data, I was going to move over Cave Story but then that message came up and I thought better of it.Save data is part of the game file. It should keep whatever save data was in it when you copied it to your SD card.

Yeah, you'll lose the data from the copy that you delete on your 3DS, but if you already copied it to your SD card, then you're fine. You just can't launch the game from the SD card.Oh really, I went to move some games over to my SD card this morning and it came up with a message about losing saved data, I was going to move over Cave Story but then that message came up and I thought better of it.
No you don't. Save Data moves along when you copy a DSiWare game from the console to the SD card and vice-versa. It's only when you delete the game entirely and re-download from the eShop that you lose your data. That really annoys the hell out of me, they can do it for Wiiware why can't they do the same thing for DSiWare. I know it's about flying around on balloons, but it's way too floaty. Stick regular Balloon Fight physics in there and it might work.
what are people's opinions on g&w gallery 2. y/n? never played any game and watch stuff.
Well, it's certainly not worth any more than they're charging, but if you like autorunners you might like it. You steer with the touchscreen, circle pad, Up/Down or X/B. You have way more precision and control with the touchscreen though. You can hold down L or R to dash. The goal is to get as far as you can while racking up points. Collecting stars or balloons gives you points, dashing through enemy birds gives you a score multiplier, and dashing into a wasp will reset your multiplier to 0. Flying into birds or wasps while not dashing, or flying into anything else is game over (you can pass in front of tree trunks but not the leaves.) There's also weather but I haven't seen any yet, probably because I haven't gotten far enough.
There's only one song so far as I can tell, but it's not bad (the song in the trailer.) Levels are randomly generated and it changes fairly often between day and night. The scenery graphics are nice, the 3d is neither bad nor anything to write home about. I think the bird you play as is pretty cute, the enemies are passable, if a little similar to the Angry Birds style. I've only seen one scenery style with the only variation being day/night, so I don't know if the scenery changes after a certain distance or not (I'm guessing not.)
I could see myself playing this from time to time in short bursts (as I would any autorunner) and going for the achievements. It keeps a leaderboard but it's not online, just for your system.
It's priced right (for eShop anyway, I don't have any iOS/Android devices so I have no basis for comparison there,) and you can probably tell if you're going to like it by watching the trailer, because what you see is what you get.
Or Chibi Robo. Especially Chibi Robo Park Patrol. It's by skip, who did those and Captain Rainbow, and boy does it show. One positive note is that Club Nintendo is giving away Snowpack Park (WiiWare) right now for 150 coins. Definitely worth it. Monster World IV (SEGA | Arcade | 900 Points) Upcoming (05/10)
Wonder Boy in Monster Land (SEGA | Arcade | 900 Points) Upcoming (05/10)
Meanwhile, in...
Nintendo 3DS | eShop Original Software, Downloadable Content and Demos
- Nikoli Puzzle: Hashi o Kakero (Hamster | ¥500) Upcoming (05/09)
- Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC (Nintendo)
I Den - Red Vs. Blue: The Seal Chapter (¥350) Upcoming (05/10)
Wii | Virtual Console
- The Super Spy (D4 Enterprise | Neo Geo | 900 Points) Upcoming (05/08)
Nintendo DSi | DSiWare
- Kouenji Joshi Soccer: Aru Seishun no Monogatari (Starfish SD | 800 Points | ¥800) Upcoming (05/09)
- Fushigi na Ten Tsunagi: Shouwa - Youjouhan Monogatari Hen (Collavier | 500 Points | ¥500) Upcoming (05/09)
Probably a business decision. eShop was the way forward for portable downloadables, whereas they had to live with WiiWare for a few years yet. That really annoys the hell out of me, they can do it for Wiiware why can't they do the same thing for DSiWare.
I know, right? With that dollar I could buy a single breakfast burrito. Just a few more slightly-cheaper games and I could get an orange juice to go with it!If this were an iOS/Andriod game it'd probably be free with an ad bar or $.99
and isn't Monster World 4 for genesis/mega drive?
Also, how does GG Shinobi compare to the Genesis Shinobis?
Balloon Kid is terrible.
I like how "Hamster" is a genre now.

Since the 3DS launched, I've wanted this to happen. Imagine how great those Lumines skins would be with 3D depth.
I like how "Hamster" is a genre now.
Congrats, now go buy the entire ArtStyle series! You won't regret it.So I don't like to blow coins on games, but due to this thread I bought pictobits with real monies.
Game is SWEET.
YES.Fuck Lumines, they should make a new Meteos.
And I'm not talking about Disney Meteos or Meteos with a controller.
If you're looking for content, I'd go with Cave Story. But you might want to wait on that since Cave Story+ is right around the corner. In that case, I'd go with Mutant Mudds. Fantastic game.Guys, which one of these platformers on the eShop should I get first? I plan to get them all eventually but I think I should finally buy at least one really soon. Amount of content doesn't really matter to me, it just has to be enjoyable enough for me to finish it.
-Mighty Switch Force
-Mutant Mudds
-Cave Story
-Shantae: Risky's Revenge
-3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
-VVVVVV
