Leaked Halo 4 Gameplay

Ah, a second red player comes in, I didn't realise it was a different player that killed him.

The game certainly looks faster paced, the BR and Pulse/Concussion rifle thing look good as well.

Ah, OK, you're right Conor. I was confused for a moment!

edit: Actually, it's still kind of confusing. He goes for the assassination, his shields all drain at once, then the 2nd red guy does something and he's dead.

that energy sword looks menacing and vibrant. I hated how it went from this amazing looking glowing sword of doom to the fisher price aesthetic that its been since Halo 2

So, at one point the camera tilts up (5:23), and looks up at what looks to be the Moon (Though I could be wrong), but what gets me is the fact that it's nowhere near the current moon phase if it is, it looks to be more around the moon phase of between April 28th and May 2nd (Link if you want to see Moon Phases), in which case, that means this barnyard video would have been recorded weeks before it being uploaded, thus further reassuring in my mind that this is marketing, or a paranoid film maker who is trying to do as much as they can to not get caught.

I fear for your sanity...

Despite all of the weirdness on display, I gotta say that I like the speed of the gameplay.

Cannot wait for the proper reveal on the 4th though.

Wow you guys weren't kidding. Definitely the weirdest leak ever. The stops, the hilarious audio, everything.

Whats the gun hes using at about 3 minutes in? Is it the same one as the one recently featured in the concept art?

Also, from this look at gameplay, I really think the game has a good chance at drawing back the CoD audience. Seems fast paced, and comfortably paced even.

Gauss Rifle/Railgun, maybe?

A railgun was just detailed in this week's bulletin, there's art of it around. It was shown in the video.

I'm pretty sure it's the railgun. Here's it's description from the last bulletin:

Halo 4’s arsenal includes numerous weapons, some of which you’re familiar with, and others of which you are not. One of the all-new aforementioned items you’ll have at your disposal in Halo 4 is the Railgun. Manufactured by Acheron Security, its official designation is the Asymmetric Recoilless Carbine-920.

The ARC-920 Railgun is a compact-channel linear accelerator that fires a high-explosive round at incredible speed, delivering both kinetic and explosive force to hard and soft targets alike. (Insert discreet cough here.)

Before we go any further, I must ask you to raise your right hand and repeat after me:

“I, (insert your super 1337 gamertag here), solemnly swear to remember that the following information is not only subject to change, but in all likelihood will change before the game ships. I will also remember that when one of the below details does change, I will not be angry at bs angel, or send her angry messages. And that goes for as long as we both shall live.”

Now that the formalities are out of the way, let’s chat about the current iteration of the Railgun. To give you a reference point, we’ll compare it to the Spartan Laser.

Like the Spartan Laser, the Railgun has to be charged before firing. There are appropriate (and awesome) audio cues when that’s happening. The Railgun’s charge time feels like approximately half of the Laser’s.

One of the more notable differences between the Railgun and the Laser is the Railgun does not have a zoom function. While I initially saw that as a negative, it turned into a positive because the lack of a zoom function eliminates those moments when you’re making an adjustment, someone shoots you and pulls you out of zoom, and you end up overcorrecting and missing your target. The Railgun offers more of a static experience where the corrections you’re making, whether someone is shooting you or not, are going to be the same. If you move left, the reticle is going to stay to the left. If you move right, the reticle is going to stay to the right. Ultimately, it lets you muscle your way through taking fire, allowing you to be clutch with a one-hit kill weapon.

The Railgun does not do as much vehicle damage as the Laser, but strategically placed shots are able to change a vehicle’s force and direction. When its projectile hits a vehicle, it has the potential to send it flying, rolling, or perhaps even off a cliff because of the kinetic energy (similar to repeatedly hitting a Warthog with a Brute Shot).

Once the Railgun has been fired, it feels instantaneous; the moving projectile doesn’t feel like it has a lot of travel time (think Rocket Launcher vs. Laser). Overall, in its current iteration, it’s considered a power weapon as it is super lethal and deadly accurate. When the game ships, though, it may end up shooting marshmallows. Marshmallows of death, doom, and destruction, but marshmallows all the same.

Ah! Very interesting.

I knew someone would .gif this part. Pretty cool.

Pretty terrible quality like most leaks, but about 8 minutes of gameplay. Rest is some super weird stuff, referencing Halo leaks of old. Also he may or not be in a barn.

Gameplay starts about 2 minutes in, and the music is NSFW so turn down your speakers. But if you're at home, I fully suggest listening to the music.

And without further adieu, I present the weirdest (best?) leak ever. I recommend starting from the beginning if you want the true, director's cut experience:

Thanks to Cyren for finding the video!

So you found the video and opened this thread, is this really a coincidence ? Well, since I am paranoid I wonder if you are a 343 in disguise ???? LOL just kidding ;)

That's definitely a barn, I saw hay.

This is the best leak ever, a masterpiece as Gui said.

In a barn

At night time

On a VHS

Taped over an episode of deep space 9

On a SDTV

With a Tom Morello disclaimer

Weird shit with that paper

Gloriously terrible rap music

Artistic moon shot

Sudden stops to focus on UI elements

And lastly, wiping a bug off the screen.

If he really wanted to troll us all, he should have recorded footage of him playing the Halo 4 footage on a tiny screen from a digital camcorder, but this was good.

This is some weird shit, like serial killer evidence tapes in horror movies.

Marketing these days.

So he's playing multiplayer in a barn or am I missing something ?

Of course, you'd except companies to keep their games in the players' mind months before release.

Fuck you Skid Kid. I hate you.

See plenty of others have come to the assumption that this is viral marketing/trolling. It's simply too shitty and annoying to be real.

Is this really viral though? On one hand it'd explain the people revealing who they are, on another it doesn't explain why they want NeoGaf activation.
