Ah that competitive player
I would like to ask him if he thinks its deep enough for people to want to play it for years

Nothing against drake, but am disappointed not to see the Sully love out there, GAF.
Kinda torn on Sully: I want him in the game but I don't want an influx of secondary characters acting as filler in the roster while other franchises go entirely unrepresented.
I wonder if they will even do skins, we've never seen a video of same characters playing, I'm thinking the colour of your marker would just change. They could use him as alternate skin for Drake.
Wait, are there actually people that plan on playing this game competitively and Sony actually cares about it? Well at least it would be nice to see them try to make the game balanced.
Also find it funny that guy whose job is to hype the competitive community around this game posts on the UMvC topic first.
Well I'm skeptical because Brawl and Melee never were very balanced and this game is so heavy on supers. Supers probably aren't the easiest things to balance while keeping them unique and true to the character considering you can't tweak the damage of it seeing as there is no damage. But hey it can only be good if they can nail the competitive aspect to it.
I just don't want to see any quarter circles or 20 hit combos online.
This is what my biggest worry/concern is. They need to allow KOs and ring outs via normal attacks and items, instead of shoehorning everything through the super only KO system. I understand they're trying to differentiate it from SSB, and they're trying to do something different (a non HP based system) but I just have a giant doubt that it'll work or be balanced.
I really, really hope Superbot has listened to peoples' concerns about that system and at least give you the option of having a hp/damage based system that allows KOs with normal attacks and ring outs. If the main mode is that super only KO system, that could be fun for just casual matches but when it comes down to the nitty gritty -
I'm pretty damn sure we all want a balanced, deep, rewarding but ultimately fun experience - one where we can choose how to KO our opponents.

The reason it's hard to be confident in Super KOs only is because nobody has done it yet in this type of game.
After reading the Worst E3 Moments thread I have an idea for a character. How about Giant Enemy Crab? That would be hilarious if that thing would be the Master Hand of Sony's game.
The game will also tell players to attack the giant enemy crab's weakpoints for massive damage.

Plus, going off experience, my friends and I absolutely hated the supers in SSB, so we always turned off the smash balls. I guess it's just a matter of everyone having different preferences - we can just agree to disagree KevinCow?
Standard attacks not doing damage is still at the back of my head and bothering me despite being excited about the Roster. Superbot has a lot of clearing up to do at E3.
Could not resist, sorry guys.
