These days its rather painful to do all of that non-sense transferring between two expensive products. SONY, or rather SCEA needs to a cue from Apple (I know, i'm sorry) and try out that unified download list between multiple products...bitches.

Nice, that's in my download list after Suikoden.

So based on my experiences, combined with reports in this thread, an epic 1 out of the 4 PS1 titles I own on PSN will work on my Vita.

I got Resident Evil 2 downloading. It only worked when I deleted it on my PS3 then redownloaded it. Simply redownloading and reinstalling it didn't work.

Some please try to see if Chrono Cross will work.

Edit: All my PS1 saves transfer no problem.

The whole thing is glitched the fuck out.

If your game isn't copying over just keep retrying. I did this with Cadtlevania Chronicles just now and it worked after the fourth time the content management system seems to be borked. You can transfer your games over. Just keep retrying.

Ganbare goemon looks so awesome. Super sharp pixels and rich, bright colors. 10x better than on the psp. Also, no input lag like on the ps3! Bad news is I had it crash after a few minutes when i tried to access the vita Ps1 menu, the one you get to via pressing and holding on the touch screen. Required a hard reset. They let me report the bug to Sony as well.

SCEA's list is made of the games which have been certified again as Vita games and can be downloaded through the Vita store, but it's not the full compatibility list.
Thread title or OP should be edited to avoid further confusion imo.

Ok, I figured it out. I don't know why but following the update, my Vita is having issues connecting to my router and that's why it was returning with "no content". I connected to a neighbor's network for a moment and most of my PS1 games appeared. No Tomba though.

Now, to figure out why the hell it's not working with my network anymore.

Well holy shit--after everything finished downloading on the PS3, all four titles showed up for transfer. In addition to Lammy, I'm currently transferring:

Suikoden
Vagrant Story
Threads of Fate

So can't tranafer ff7 or Mgs over from ps3. Gnna try the bubble instead. Also, the vita psn store is not updated yet so I can't direct download ff7 either.
