make sure to let 'Dartastic' & 'dot' access the account, if they somehow don't check out this thread again.

If someone would PM me too with the sharing info, that'd be great. I won't be home for another hour and ten or so, but yeah. I want in on this. =)

Edit - Thanks Blixa!!! =D

Could I please grab the demo account

Please

Okay will do.

that was cool of you bro...

Thanks. =)

Unfortunately it seems one person couldn't use it for some reason.

Thanks Lucent! I'll be on in an hour or so. =D

Cool. Well, I probably won't be playing with anyone tonight. I'm currently studying for some stuff but Thursday after school I'm gonna chill. I really hate college right now. Mostly just the "filler" classes. Computer classes are fine. lol

I hope this isn't like a bannable thing, but I would love a shot at the RE6 demo as well.

Not sure what exactly this whole thing involves, but I'm dying to try this game.

Nah it's fine blixa, i'll get access to the demo some other way. I have my reasons.

Looking forward to all of your impressions of the game!

while signed in, go to Account management->system Activation->PS3 system->select game and then deactivate!
The problem is more than two people have logged in which used up the activation slots.

Now the issue is whether you can still access the demo after deactivating etc.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering. I thought that's why people usually initiated a download and then went to their own account since the download continues anyway. Though it does say in information if you delete the account that owns the content, you're unable to play it. Wondering if you can keep it but deactivate it.

Why they gotta make it complicated. =(

It used to be simpler. I made dummy accounts for GAF before and they all worked fine. It was when the policy on gameshare changed it all went to hell.

Holy shit. Just played through the Leon part of the demo and you guys who say this is not RE anymore are out of your minds. Before I play the rest of the demo I just had to stop and chime in.

It oozes that dark atmosphere, and gives you a really uneasy feeling just being in the wonderfully detailed environments. The lighting, creeping through darkness, nice jump scares and character models that actually look disturbing as hell just tops it off. The part where
the father and daughter turn in the elevator
was amazing, even though I saw it coming. The way they looked was just perfect.

As for how the PS3 version holds up? It's fantastic. Zero tearing and no framerate drops at all. Runs smooth as butter and looks excellent. The game is simply top-shelf and I think I may end up liking it more than the beloved RE4. The production value, improved gameplay, visuals, character interaction, story and atmosphere is seemingly the best in the series yet. Anyway, back to it.

I said this back when the 360 demo came out and most others were tearing it to shreds. Glad to see someone agrees!

Played through the Leon level. Holy hell is it dark. Looked great, sounded great, made me jump a couple of times. No tearing either! Yay!

Is Leon the Leon from 4? I mean voice actor, sounds close either way.

Yeah same here! Much better experience than the 360 demo they released two months ago. And I'm not sure if they actually updated how aiming works on here or I'm just so used to the PS3 controller, but I could barely hit anything in the 360 demon and now I'm aiming like a pro. It's even easier to aim than in RE5.

Well, you are more than right. Oh, one more thing before I go back. Dat music! Hate on Capcom all you want, guys, but I'm telling you that they have done it again with this game and it did not take much for me to see it. It feels darker and scarier than ever with all of the improved production value. Add in the improved gameplay and this is going to be the best in the series yet for me with ease. Nostalgia be damned, I love it.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything

Yeah I know. It went from that feeling of "am I gonna be able to hit anything at all in this game" to full confidence. I just destroyed the Ustanak with no problem at all. Being able to switch sides while aiming is great. Totally beats the fixed sides for Chris and Sheva in RE5.

jake's scenario playing as sherry (like the design more, though jake's design during china and whatnot, with the belt and boots, is an improvement from the outfit in the demo) is still my favorite. did you play that yet? thoughts?
they're all fantastic though, and much better than anything in 5.. which was a great game too.

All this postive posts about how good the PS3 version is making me wonder if I should pre-order the Steelbook Edition... I'm so tempted, I even have a co-op partner ready it's only one "add to basket" far away, choices... October-December is madness, every year, damn.

do it. they deserve it, and if you enjoyed 4&5, the answer is even more obvious.

Started with a friend 4 but never really finished by myself, got RE5 on 360 and finished one Solo run then a Co-op run then got the Gold Edition for the PS3 and finished half the game with PS Move and the rest with a buddy of mine.

I know I will get this, but the last 3 months this year are crazy with so many choices and this year my wallet feels thin.

The demo fellow GAFfers are playing is for the PS3? I have both consoles, is the demo planned to hit the PS3/360 Stores in the near future?

If not I would like to try it, if possible but only if the rest of GAFfers can also try it (so please let me know how deactivating an account works on PS3 first).

there will be a different public demo on the 18th.
and yeah, you could probably download it from an account being shared here, only that we're stuck for the moment, so do keep checking back.
also; bio 6 > the rest of the games in Q4.

So I can't get it then...

:(

depends. the links in the post are dead but surely the files should be available in other places on the web.

There's no screen tearing but no framerate drops? What? Lol it's not Dragon's Dogma level but the drops are definitely there.

Regardless, it's a pretty good looking game (console shortcomings aside) - glad they're putting the nighttime lighting they perfected in DD to good use here.

As for the gameplay... it's no Resident Evil but I must admit I'm having fun going Kung fu on these zombies with just a combat knife. This game basically feels as though the game universe and the movie universe finally merged into one. If you like the RE movies, I suppose that can be considered a good thing.

Holy crap the Chris demo is one of the biggest pieces of shit I've ever played. The camera is awful (I know it's improved in the final product but still), everything becoming blurry when you take cover is annoying, the cover system seems sloppy, and the entire level was way too cramped for all the crap that was going on. Movement in general felt awkward too.

Not very noticeable slow down for me at all. Game looks great. I usually expect more jaggies in multiplatform games on PS3. RE5 had some. But it looks like Capcom actually pulled it off on here. Most things look clean to me.

fuck no. not... not even close.

lol what I thought.

The atmosphere is great. The lack of interaction and heavy control scripting is not. I'm sure it's not indicative of the full Leon scenario, but I find myself preferring Chris and Jake's scenarios, despite the generic military fetishism, because they give you a lot more to do.
